    Hello there, thank you for posting this video tutorial. I have been following it and have really enjoyed the project so far. I have managed to work up all of the squares I need and have assembled one of the full panels and it looks very nice. I have just completed following the triangle portion of the tutorial, and thought I followed it to the letter, however, the complete triangle is still very short of half. I'm planning to give it another go, but I'm wondering if you have any advice or help to make sure they come out the right size. Thank you again!

    • @TCDDIY
      @TCDDIY  3 года назад

      Hi! This is video is a little bit older, but I do remember the triangle being a little bit smaller than the full squares. Let me know how it works out and if not we'll figure it out together!

      @@TCDDIY I recently finished this project, after nearly 3 months! It turned out really well - and as someone who has only recently started crocheting it was challenging but also fun and rewarding. I followed your video pattern closely, and found that my stitch tension and gauge got more consistent with each component. I did ultimately make two changes to your pattern, I added a SC boarder (2 rows) around the entire project and neck line (after it was assembled), and for the tie, instead of a simple chain, I did a double chain, which turned out really well! Thank you again for posting this project!

    • @TCDDIY
      @TCDDIY  4 года назад +1

      Thanks! Depending on how much bigger you want to make it there's 2 ways you can do that.
      1. you can make more granny squares so it's wider.
      2. you can add extra rows to each individual granny square so it's subtly bigger. 😊

    The way you crochet and hold the hook looks painful for the right hand and wrist. I actually tried it just for fun and started feeling the pains right away, and it also slowed me down a lot and it felt like I had no control over the yarn.

    • @TCDDIY
      @TCDDIY  4 года назад +1

      One of the reasons I love to watch tutorials is to see how other people hold their hook and try them for fun too. 🙈 I don't remember how I learned it this way, but 3 years of crocheting like this and I blaze through my work now. 🤣I haven't had any pain yet, but I hear people get it a lot.
