Thank You for sharing that. I have been looking for how to do this. I have a beautiful orchid that is growing two Keiki's and they are getting rather large with large arial roots. I was wondering if the mother plant will die if I leave it alone. The plant has two flower spikes, but one has started to die. I have not repotted this plant since I purchased it about a year ago. I'm afraid to hurt it, but I think I have to.
Repot it if the media is decomposed. The keikis will do much better once they are in a pot with media :)
@@MiracleOrchids1 I reported the keiki today. I think I broke one of the roots. I heard a crunch☹️. I put it in soaked miss like you did. Hopefully it'll be ok. I have one more keiki on the mama plant, but it doesn't have any roots. Maybe it'll start growing some now.

Great video thank you :) Will these roots rot when repotted in semi hydroponics after Shpagnum moss? Not exactly the same topic with this video but I have a rootless orchid waiting to generate some roots in the bag method. Shall i pot it directly to hydroton or spagnum moss first when roots become longer?
Cennet Demir the spag & bag is not such a great method actually, there's not enough air ventilation. Nope, they'll not rot if you don't leave them too long in moss. I mean...I'll keep my orchids in moss for maximum 3 months and then I'll put it in semi hydro. You should not put a rootless orchid directly in semi hydro

Isn't it to prevent Fusarium (fungi) in the soil and plant? I thought all specie's of Fusarium produced mycotoxins in cereal crops. I guess orchid's are prone as well. Thank you for this educational video!
