What is sold in the US as "cinnamon" is actually cassia, which has a very hard bark. You can find true cinnamon in the US in some ethnic stores, like Mexican or Polish groceries. The true cinnamon has a thinner. multilayered bark that is brittle and has a much better, less pungent flavor. Cassia has higher amounts of coumarin than true cinnamon.

Looks like a recipe for crown rot. I don’t know how you avoided it. But the new roots look great! I like the idea of 2 vases stacked to make a greenhouse.
Honey is an antibiotic. So it will only encourage good microbes to grow….improving health of plant. And cinnamon is also antibacterial. Only problem I see is jars do not have ventilation holes.
Aloaes are just pure magic, any kind. I use about 1 slice like this on a jar of water, and the juice makes roots in 3 days, any spiece i tried. Save your Aloaes :) Can imagine what this booster did, sometimes it's only one of those that is enough to bring roots. Amazing video

Aqui em casa eu uso canela pra cicatrizar as raízes, e ponho num copo de vidro com pouquinho de água no fundo. Rapidamente elas brotam raizes e até novas orquídeas. Simples e eficaz

O que eu achei interessante é que não perdeu nenhuma folha.. geralmente pra sair esse tanto de raiz pra uma planta que não tinha nenhuma raiz.. a planta joga toda energia para a brotacao das raizes e isso faz perder alguma folha. Parabéns!!! Aqui eu faço isso com bokashi líquido. Que já contém os ingredientes que vc usou. Acho bem prático. Mas achei interessante. Obrigada.

Most cinnamon has ethoxyquin added. Ethoxyquin (EMQ) is a quinoline-based antioxidant used as a food preservative. You can shake it onto the leaves if they get a soft spot which may stop the disease. This is a very lovely channel. Be well.

On the plus side, this video appears to be the very same "saved" orchid that ultimately got new roots.👍 I'm a total skeptic when it comes to these crazy plant propogation ideas, but this actually seems legit. I might try it, because if there's one thing i have in abundance, its unhappy/dead orchids!!

I think it just holds the moss up out of the water, while draining readily. You can also use those little clay marble-size things... I think they are called "clay pebbles". Amazon and Big Box hardware stores usually have them. I think they are better, because they would wick the moisture into the moss, making watering more frequently unnecessary. The larger ones also have more air space, which the roots like (aerial roots appreciate it too). However this step is just for getting that little root to get started, I guess the clay pebbles would be as good if not better.

O que eu achei interessante é que não perdeu nenhuma folha.. geralmente pra sair esse tanto de raiz pra uma planta que não tinha nenhuma raiz.. a planta joga toda energia para a brotacao das raizes e isso faz perder alguma folha. Parabéns!!! Aqui eu faço isso com bokashi líquido. Que já contém os ingredientes que vc usou. Acho bem prático. Mas achei interessante. Obrigada.

On the plus side, this video appears to be the very same "saved" orchid that ultimately got new roots.👍 I'm a total skeptic when it comes to these crazy plant propogation ideas, but this actually seems legit. I might try it, because if there's one thing i have in abundance, its unhappy/dead orchids!!

I think it just holds the moss up out of the water, while draining readily. You can also use those little clay marble-size things... I think they are called "clay pebbles". Amazon and Big Box hardware stores usually have them. I think they are better, because they would wick the moisture into the moss, making watering more frequently unnecessary. The larger ones also have more air space, which the roots like (aerial roots appreciate it too). However this step is just for getting that little root to get started, I guess the clay pebbles would be as good if not better.
