    One of detecting's greatest little time saver's, I have two of the original grey Minelab pro-find pinpointer's, Not that I needed a second one, it came with my ctx purchase, they are one of the tools of detecting that is a must have item in your kit, and they are both still working well over many years of use! sturdy and strong! but i must admit the reset on the 40 would be be an absolute blessing, Thanks for the overview Luke, Cheers Mate!

      I don't know where I would be without my pinpointer some days @wayne armstrong and I'd nearly go as far as saying I would head home to grab it if ever forgotten! Mind you I generally carry a spare at all times in the boot.
      Definitely a must have when out chasing the coins!
      I'm really glad you enjoyed watching mate, take care until our next adventure🙂👍⛏️

      @@DigItDetecting Yes! ive done a few trips home, but for me, mostly short trips. in the long run it always saved time and searching, for an elusive target! I wish i had one back when i was on the gold fields, the nuggets were big enough back then! I also wish i had been filming my finds too, but the cameras were a bit larger, and not as convenient. Dont know if ill be there Friday night, as I will be up at my new location in the bush with no power, getting the bus hauled up there tomorrow, it will take some time to get myself sorted out, power wise! saving up for a generator to start with, anyway I'll do my best to join you if i can! Cheers Mate!

    Thank you, Luke, for sharing your thoughts. I've got my ordering for Christmas, On the end of my pinpoint I put a 19cm Black irrigation pipe.
    Roughly 20cm On the end of my pinpoint, thanks, Luke Ray🤠

    Great review Luke , I'm sure the updated 40 will last you years. I agree that the replaceable 9 volt battery is preferred over the rechargeable pointers. As if you are in the bush you have no where to plug it in to charge. Tip you can buy rechargeable 9volt batteries. Charge them up , throw them in your bag with a spare and off you go. Cheers Luke , thanks for the info on the new pin pointer! Rob.

      Carry a power bank to charge. They are smaller than phones. And XP Mi4 lasts aaaaaages. I go detecting nearly every day and only need to charge once a month.

      The 9v batteries are where it's at for me though. Just replace them when needed and keep on digging😁 Happy hunting mate👍

    • @DigItDetecting
      @DigItDetecting  Год назад +1

      I'm really glad you enjoyed watching @Brun Free as mentioned in video, the tips on the end of the pinpointers come from when I was doing mechanics and saving the rubber caps from fitting motors etc. I am sure you can find similar at Bunnings. Happy digging out there😊⛏️

    Good morning, I thought your video was very good and I noticed that the tip of the device is using rubber protection. How do I find this type of rubber for pin pointer protection? Thank you A HUG GEORGE

    • @DigItDetecting
      @DigItDetecting  3 месяца назад

      Hi there @george thanks so much for watching! I'm so glad you enjoyed🙂
      On the end of my pinpointer shown in video is a rubber cap as you mentioned. Great for protecting the end of wearing through and replaceable whenever needed. I just pick them up from my local shops such as bunnings, kmart, target etc. Just little rubber chair stoppers or even table leg ends to protect the floor from scratching. Just measure your pinpointer, or better yet take it in store with you and see which one does the job👍 thanks so much again for watching George. Take care mate🙂🙂
