His life deteriorated into homelessness, theft, sex, and drugs for a period of time. The interesting dimension was that he had no sense of right and wrong. Most people influenced by the secular world see a clear distinction between moral laws and ritual laws. Because of the way he was raised, that it all came from G-d, he did not know the distinction. Because he smoked a cigarette on Shabbos and nothing happened, he figured he could take drugs. He ate a cheeseburger and nothing happened, so he had promiscuous sex with an anonymous stranger. He didn't put on tefillin and nothing happened, so he robbed a drunk. And so forth. He thought to give up religion meant to be free. He was surprised that secular people controlled their behavior and didn't do whatever they wanted; that even without G-d there is right and wrong yet it ended up more confusing than he ever had imagined.
Perhaps you don't know how this works. Your creator is Jesus. Man was not made in the image of the Father because the Father is not a man nor a son of man. God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? You were created by Elohim which is the plural form of God. Namely Jesus and His angels. They said "Let US make man in OUR image." Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. All Power, Dominion, and Authority then the last enemy that will be defeated is death itself. The He will return the kingdom back to the Father so that Gid may he all in all. The Earth is Hell in the future (2 Peter 3). It gets hit by an asteroid (Revelation 9) and pushed toward the sun (Isaiah 13-13). In those days men will seek death but it will not find them, they will long to die but death will flee from them. The New Jerusalem will take the best of humanity and the glory of the nations to a new Earth where righteousness dwells. But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie. The cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. Our hope lies in a New Heaven and a New Earth where righteousness dwells.
