Blackest Night is my favorite thing to recommend to new GL readers. It’s pretty digestible and is just a fun story. It’s also the best zombie book of all time
Literally just bought this on ebay Avengers 292 thankfully I had just enough money left to buy it if it hadn't been for your channel I wouldn't even know it existed thanks Mike.
60"s King Kirby artwork is the best. --Also loved the Phantom as a kid because it was different from the rest. taking place in a far off jungle. but still having a cool super-suit. Cool stuff!
Great video as usual! My brother gave me his entire comic book collection from the late 80 to the 90's including Marvel, Image, DC, whole bunch of Idies as well, including all his trading cards for the above mentioned! Love EM! Marvel Master Pieces and Fleer Ultra cards are awesome. Same goes with the Flair run from Skybox! It's great seeing someone who enjoys it not for finding the "holy grail" nothing wrong with finding a holy grail btw, but the nostalgia from your childhood!
Hi Mike, I see from your t-shirt that we use the same legal representatives - love their work. Marshall Rogers and Terry Austin are among the great Batman art teams. I'm indifferent to Skottie Young's covers but I think he absolutely nails L. Frank Baum's Oz characters and settings. I bought the same Blackest Night trade only a few weeks ago, really looking forward to reading it. Excellent last two comics, especially the FF.
When you finish your Clairmont run you should definitely make a dedicated video on it. I just finish a Werewolf by night run not too long ago. I’ve also decided to do my own Claremont run.
Wow $3 for that trade Blackest Night is such a steal. Easily one of my all time favorite storylines and the illustration just enhanced it. Great video as alway 🔥
Glad I found your channel. One thing you do, I've noticed some others don't, is tell the year the comic book was published! I grew up in the 70's... My Dad bought me my 1st comic at a book store at the mall, when I was probably 5 or 6... I was instantly hooked on the artwork, the stories... Using my imagination. I probably bugged him to death asking what "this word" or "that" meant, LOL 😆. I appreciate the dates, so I can figure if I may have a copy in my collection, or not. I have maybe one comic from before I was born... First team up of Batman and the Flash, I bought in my 20's. Love this channel and the info you give on your comics 💯🤘🤠
I remember my Dad telling me he had comics from when he was a kid in the 40s and 50s. He joined the USAF after high school... While he was gone overseas, his Mom, my Grandma, gave his comics away...as "junk"... Breaks my heart; I can't even imagine the treasures he had... Sigh😢
You have no idea how cool it felt, when my Dad picked a comic book out of the rack, that had MY name on the cover .. Better than Christmas to me, LOL ❤ "Warlord of Mars" by Marvel 😅
The nebula book I’m jealous because I’ve been looking everywhere for a 9.6 very cool…wish there were more places around my area to find these finds….love your videos buddy!
The Phantom was probably in good shape because a lot of the King comics including that issue were packaged up in 3 packs back in day to sell on displsxys and I think a lot of these packs were found in a warehouse and later sold to collectors...there was a Flash Gordon (5?) etc. in packs and show up in nice shape.
Really nice books I was thinking that perhaps you should change the name and go by from “Lunch Money comics“ but I was thinking with inflation these days and prices being so expensive lunch money comics is about right.
I figured you'd grab those Voltron books, but I was pleasantly surprised to see you pick up that Phantom book. I've been a Phantom fan for a long time. Awesome video and pulls, Mike!
oh that FF 67!! great price!! considering the release of guardians of the galaxy 3. I like these grout videos. I like it better when I see you search the boxes and see how interesting comics go by, but it's a great idea to put together all the videos that are short so we can know what else you found
You always do an amazing job and scouting out those books. What a major Fantastic Four key at the end! You have to make your way to the Midwest sometime!
I got lucky on Saturday I was digging through the dollar bins at my LCS and fund Spiderman 2099 #1 and Venom lethal protector #1 from the 90's and the owner was surprised but honored the price.
What a great collection of new books Mike! I especially love the X-Men 102 (what a shocker 😅) and the FF 67, also a big Adam Warlock collector. Just got my copy back from CGC! Showed it off in my recent CGC unboxing video. Great video as always Mike 🤙🔥📦
Hey Mike! Just found your channel recently and enjoying your videos! I've always loved collecting comics and been starting to collect a lot of older issues. You have some awesome comics and books there! I really like 'The Phantom' and The Batman Detective ones. Batman is one of my favorite comic issues to collect. The artwork on all of them looks amazing, I think the art from the 60's to the 90's was some of the best! Anyways look forward to seeing what treasures u find next!
Love the Ghost Rider #2 find! Just yesterday I was sorting through some boxes under my basement stairs that I've moved from house to house 4 times now (and getting ready to move again) and found my binder with my Marvel trading cards!!! I thought they were lost forever. I love that set. How strong is the Silver Surfer?!?!?!?!
Good Evening Michael A great show as always, a great collection of Comics, I shall have to watch again to take it all in. I love The Voltron books, and I love the connection from your cards to the comic. Most excellent. I love the Phantom Book, we still have the Phantom published twice a month with some quarterly specials thrown in, still sold in Newsagents(newsstands). It would have to be Australia's national comic. The stories come from either the US news strips or from Sweden, who have long had their writers and artists. The Phantom is the one comic I still collect as a comic. Keep up the great work Cheers Al The goldkeyfourcolorkidownunda
Mike, just a heads-up: Time Capsule in Cranston, RI, is doing 50-cent bins for the next few weekends starting this Saturday. I plan on hitting them up this Saturday, myself.
Great video as always. You definitely got some great books this time. I think you mentioned that you were a Ghost Rider fan? I’m a huge Ghost Rider fan myself and I have the complete run of Volume 1 and 2. As well as other comic series related to Ghost Rider. Keep up the great work. 😎
Great video, Mike! I pretty much struck out at the summer Brimfield flea market this time around, but it was fun to just be out there. I used to teach history, so I love looking through many of the other tents (especially at mid-century stuff).
@@lunchmoneycomics Just because of where I live (southern NH) and my work schedule, I wasn't able to go until Saturday. I always figure with Brimfield, it's just such a big event that I don't *expect* to find the kinds of books I'm looking for, just happy if I do. I treat it as a bonus over there. I get generous PTO so maybe I'll hit a weekday in the Sept show.
Really nice books and pick ups. At 6:35 First appearance of Black-Axe Marvel U.K., and there's a Marvel universe series card 4 1993, of the Black-Axe character. '90s Marvel cards are the best. I too have two Marvel universe series cards 2 1992 of Warlock card and Thanos alongside with Death card, cool cards and art works. Nice review.
Great stuff there! I read Blackest Night and really liked, can’t beat getting that whole story for $3. Will you be at Terrificon at the end of the month at Mohegan Sun?
I'm from UK and in my auction the 7 lots of comics, Dr strange, hulk, avengers, superman, wolverine xmen, batman flash/Green lantern. Should I go for them? No 181 hulk but wolverine 1-4, superman vs he man and superman black adam and shazzam issue. What should I do its on tomorrow the auction
Don't know if you know about whatnot but you might wanna stay away from that cause you can find almost any book you looking for and it's easy to spend alot of money lol
It’s always nice to hear how dealers are so willing and eager to take care of their loyal customers! That’s the best way to show appreciation! 👍
I love that your able to admit it. “I’m at the mercy of these cards”.
You gotta love it..
Blackest Night is my favorite thing to recommend to new GL readers. It’s pretty digestible and is just a fun story. It’s also the best zombie book of all time
I always love to see the Marvel card gaps get filled up!
Love that X-Men 102. I always gravitate toward that issue
I’m going through some old marvel masterpiece while watching 😂🎉
Literally just bought this on ebay Avengers 292 thankfully I had just enough money left to buy it if it hadn't been for your channel I wouldn't even know it existed thanks Mike.
Hi Mike - love the channel. I think we’d all love a video showing your first appearance progress against your card collection. Thank you!
Great idea!
The phantom 23 in vf easily $ 20, great find..
Great pick-ups, Mike! Love that X-Men 102 cover🔥🔥🔥🔥.
Another great vid Mike. The round up videos are a great way to showcase a group of finds. Keep up the great work.
Nice pickups all around. Love anything related to Kang. Top villain for me.
60"s King Kirby artwork is the best. --Also loved the Phantom as a kid because it was different from the rest. taking place in a far off jungle. but still having a cool super-suit. Cool stuff!
seriously though... your T-shirt game is on point mate. Great finds as always and great video. Thanks for sharing.
Funny, I actually picked the three comics you picked. Made me laugh lol
AWESOME gets! Daredevil and Spider-Man is my favorite, but would love to have ANY of those books in my pc.😊
Ghost rider has always been one of my faviroute marvel character probably because my dad rides motorcycles, love the content by the way

I picked a 257 avengers in the auction I recently purchased 🎉
I would have picked up the phantom in a heart beat.
Great books 😊
Awesome finds!
The second series Ghost Rider is awesome! You never know if the value will go up because they could do a Ketch movie. :)
When you finish your Clairmont run you should definitely make a dedicated video on it. I just finish a Werewolf by night run not too long ago. I’ve also decided to do my own Claremont run.
Oh definitely 💯
Great grabs you got got. Really enjoy watching when you video yourself at these great places you go to.
Love your shirt!! 😎
I am a huge fan of FF so my choice is fantastic four 67
Best comic book content on RUclips hands down, you really present things as fun and interesting no matter how cheap or expensive
Wow, thank you so much!

Awesome round up!
Are there lots of dollar boxes at Brimfields?
Yes, I saw less this last time but they are definitely there.

Been watching you everyday since I found this channel❤ but where did you get that awesome shirt
My sister got it for me! Not sure where she tracked it down but it’s one of my favorites.
IV received my hulk 181 foil facsimile it's a awesome copy
man, all the shops around me ordered the foil one. I want the non shiny one so badly lol.

Yes I am definitely aware and it’s quite tempting!
How many more issues do you need to finish your Claremont run? Which issues?
I have to check but I think it’s under 20, most are from 103-119 with a few exceptions
Are you going to put up your new hulk 181 on your display ?
Definitely, the only reason you didn’t see it behind me is because it’s getting pressed by Comic Spa.
Do you know how many X-Men comics you have left? You should have like a counter in the corner or something to show how close you are to completing it
Haha, like 20 I think?
Don't know much about comic book art. What can you teach us. :)
Oh boy, I wish I was an authority on it, but I can only speak to the artists I know and love. I’m always learning myself!
What does the Marvel trading cards say about the 1st app of Wolverine? Hulk 180 or 181? Maybe we can finally end this debate once and for all!
Which xmen issues are you looking for?
Most of the ones from 103 to 118 minus a few
@@lunchmoneycomics ah I've got none in that area just before and after. Got more wolverine ones than x-men.
