It is great to see a ‘premium’ European brand has a completely different view on details and a deep care for how the product is made. Would be good to see if this is an industry trend, or just something Stone Island do.
Can you please do a deconstruction of the brand Kiko Kostadinov. A Luxury streetwear experimental Bulgarian brand that has (in my opinion) pretty good quality but Im not so good at spotting all the in depth constructions and features to see if its as good as people, including myself, say they are. Especially for tye price point I would hope the construction of the garments are of good quality. Hope to see a kiko video soon!
@@ShiftfashiongroupThanks! Interested in more Vuori content. Strato tech tee or any garment using their signature Dreamknit fabric such as their Coronado hoodie or pants. Thanks!
I love my stone island pants. I’ve had them for 4 years & they are still my favorite in my wardrobe. Plan to get another pair soon. Extremely high quality & they look great. Would love to hear if you have any brands that you think are similar quality but more affordable

Great channel, love the videos 🙌🏽. I’d like to see you do affordable luxury* like AMi Paris, Acne Studios, Our Legacy, Aime Leon Dore ect, some more technical fashion like CP company and Ten C and any of the made in Japan clothing brands
@@Shiftfashiongroup thank you!! I’ve been buying them for some time and came across your channel now I’m questioning their quality for their price points but I always buy them when it’s on sale so who knows if their pants are worth the $60 - $70 sale price vs their $150 msrp. Thank you in advance!
TUMI makes bags for their factory outlet that uses ballistic nylon as a featured exterior material. Can you comment on the merits of that? I assume that it avoids the kind of scuffing and ease-of-tearing of other, softer materials. But I’m also assuming that this isn’t a material that is comfortable to wear in clothing.
Would you ever consider reviewing vintage items? It would be especially interesting to compare garments from the same brand manufactured 20+ years apart. It would also give some interesting context to the history of manufacturing. You might even be able to find some cases where 20 years ago made in China was awful but today made in China is great, but it would be especially interesting to see the differences as manufacturing changes locations and just over time generally.
you all should review hidden ny. I've always thought that their products were high quality, but im curious to learn if their shirts, hoodies, and other products are really worth the price. ITs pre order tho beware, so itll take a bit of time to arrive
Hi Shift! I just watched your Podcast with Glass Factory and you both recommended new clothing brands learn everything about garment manufacturing. Do you have any book recommendations for someone new to this industry to read? About fabrics, stitching methods, etc? I want to be about to speak competently with manufacturers when trying to bring my ideas to life, I don’t just want to be “someone who draws,” like you both talked about. Specific books, online courses, etc would be incredibly helpful. Thanks again for all you do, your content is amazing!
Hi Joe, since winter is here, can you do a tear down of puffer jackets and or gortex that are super duper expensive. I’m trying to see if these are worth $200-$1000 😅
regarding your last comment in the video, how much yarn and cotton cloths gives out during daily wear? do I breath cotton and yarn when I, for example, taking off my backpack? p.s. I do wish you good health, I really like you videos!!!
Hey Joe, you mind doing a vid teardown of a korean High-end brand "Wooyoungmi", i have own a few pieces and found them to be unique and of good quality. Would like to hear your review! Nice Vid btw
What would be something similar in build quality without the brand/made in italy markup? I don’t care about brands or really fashion at all, but I do care about quality materials and construction, am I just doomed?
not really doomed LOL... but yeah, this kind of stuff is hard to find, check very small italian brands, they have good stuff at a decent price range. Can't name brands here bc admin gets pissd. How do I send you a message?

@@Shiftfashiongroup My experience - based on your T-shirt quality description to judge a brand - with AX is not great. Some of their sweaters with zippers are nice quality, but a lot of their basic T-shirts appear to be sub-par.
@@Shiftfashiongroup Lacoste appears to be nice quality, but strangely all the brands above except for some clothes from Anthony Morate all state that you should only wash their clothes at 30 degrees and/or hand wash/delicate wash.
this is the type of content ive always wanted to make because theres so much non transparency and obscuring in fashion, anyway i was always too lazy to actually do it so im so happy with this channel.
dude... $350 is more than fair for these. Add all these up: fabric (SI makes their own, which is very impressive, sometimes they rely on italian mills, but this ripstop is their own) is around $20 for these pants, $2/3 for that YKK zipper, rivets, buttons, threads, manufacturing is around $50 for the amount of construction, pattern, it's a pain to make this pattern, and each pattern is around like $200, paper to print the pattern, the cutting of the fabric has a cost, dyeing is expensive AF too, tags, woven labels, packaging... SI spends a fortune in marketing... Plus, no one makes stuff in Italy anymore, so this pant has been constructed well for sure, you're not gonna get this from any other brand... maybe just a couple of italian brands. So $200? no way, never, $500 is too much, $350 is fair enough. Just checked that Vuoir brand, you're out of it dude, totally not comparable AT ALL.
