That Kid Enthusiasm and passion is outstanding
I am constantly astounded at how they make the qawwal sound just as energetic and full of life even with half the members in previous years. I think this smaller group of only Ustad Fareed Ayaz and Abu Muhammad and their sons is working quite well. Despite having half the members, they chose this very energetic kalaam and executed it perfectly.
I love how well the younger generations are taking part, more and more lately. With this one being co-lead by Moiz sahib, and a great job at that too.
Beautiful girah from Hz Bedam Shah Warsi and very fitting for the week of Holi, it flows incredibly well with the takraar section too and pretty much merges itself with the greater context of the piece, incredible demonstration on how to utilise proper girah bandhi and utilise poetry.
All in all this has to be one of the best renditions of this piece, not losing it's khanqahi aspect but providing a cleaner and more mature feel to this piece, much different from many semi trained qawwals who butcher this piece.

A humble request to dream journey to record some of the rare sufi kalams and Indian classical from this group. Bhimpalas or aap ko pata nahi or hameer. We have listened to munshi sahab many times but probably this group can be doing those kalams and ragas extremely well.

There are many references of Holi being used as a metaphor, since "Rang" is used in Holi and as Munshi sb (father of Fareed ayaz Sb) used to say "Rang to sirf Allah hi ka hai". There can be more details to the topic but I think this might help. Peace.
It's sufism, only love and dedication is important here. In many sufi songs even krishna's and rama's name also come. And because of this type of bhakti, the Muslims from indian subcontinent are considered different from other Muslims of the world.
