Will you do a pneumatic craft series? I know the mod itself doesn't have much content and no real end goal but I think a survival series would be pretty cool with different mods where you complete and explore every mod 100% would be extremely cool to watch
@PilpohMC Really great video nonetheless. You are the sole reason I installed Functional Storage alongside RS, and it ended up working in my favor because the Storage Controller(FS) is compatible with Building Gadgets binding mode--whereas RS is not directly compatible.
I believe for the crafter on the furnace, you could set the pattern up to be 1 raw ore and one coal and it should put a coal and an ore in the furnace if you did not want to just have it send all your coal to the furnace with an exporter.
The furnace is sided so the coal would not go into the fuel slot, if that did work though you could send 1 coal and 8 raw ore as a coal smelts 8 items! This is really handy! 🎅

Glad I could help! Unfortunately there is no way to prioritize a specific pattern with Refined Storage autocrafting, I believe there is a way to do it in Applied Energetics 2 however if you are just getting into modded I would suggest sticking with Refined Storage until you have the hang of it 😉

hey i found a problem with the auto crafting, when i put a philosopher's stone to the pattern recipe it doesn't reuse the philosopher's stone so it kept saying missing philosopher's stone, is there way to fix this?
That is because the craft thinks the philosopher's stone will be destroyed when the craft is completed. The way people get around this with RS is to have another mod deal with the craft. The best example is using the crafter from rftools, you use an exporter to push the, let's say iron into the crafter and you can set it to craft the iron with the phil stone to make gold. Then you can use an importer to get the gold back into your system 😁 Side note, this is the biggest reason I now use applied energistics as it doesn't have this problem! Hope this helps, I know a bunch of peeps on my discord are now playing project architecture 2 so if you have any questions, I am sure one of them can help 😁
is there a maximum distance for cables ? Cause im mining a chunk with a quarry plus at like 200 blocks from my controller and my exporter doesnt work on the chest i linked to my quarryplus
You need an importer to import into the system 😉 I'd suggest using a chest on top of the quarry and importing from that if you can, or us an ender chest that has its second chest right next to the refined storage system with an importer on that 😉
Hello, is it possible to automate the autocrafting? As in, I dont need to manually tell it to autocraft? I got close using an exporter with a crafting upgrade into a chest, however when I tried to connect the chest back into the grid to move what i just autocrafted into the grid, it just goes on an inifinite loop of moving the crafted item back and forth between the grid and chest and stops the autocrafting. Is there a way to automate autocrafting while being able to move what you auto craft back into the grid and keep the autocraft going? Sorry if this was talked about and I missed it, Ive only watched the timestamps that seemed relevant
That is actually something the base Refined Storage doesn't do 😁 I know exactly what you mean and Ive tried to do exactly what you did also and it doesn't work 😕 there is a mod usually called something like "requester" or "requestify" basically you can set up a requester to have a certain amount of things on hand. Hope this helps 😁
can i use transmutation table as external storage? and is it possible to use a multiple crafter with the same pattern/recipe, i'm trying to make a faster energizing orb so i have 11 orbs with 11 crafter and i just realized i need to put 11 different patterns.
Project E has an addon that does allow for emc storage however I haven't used it much so I might not be the best person to ask... My discord has a bunch of people currently playing a pack with that mod though so shameless plug for my discord (100% free to join, link in the description)😁 For the crafters I believe Refined Storage will only take the first pattern into account when crafting anything (unless this has changed recently) that means if you want to craft something with the Powah orbs you will need to use something like xnet, basically you provide the materials via a crafter and then a different system deals with the craft for you. If you want to make a single Powah orb go super fast, I have a few youtube shorts on this channel that might interest you! 😁 (sorry for long reply!)
I still have problem I don't get my items out of the storage blocks or more like I can't empty them like disk because I don't want them anymore but there are still items in there I tried EVERYTHING
I am not sure what you are asking here so bare with me! Are you asking how to get items out of the Storage blocks like the 16k single item storage thingy? Id suggest either removing them from your system and making a smaller separate RS system and use an exporter to export the items back into your system (exporter from the small system + Interface on your main system) OR if you don't need them then just mine the block and throw it away 😉 I don't get replies on youtube so can you make another comment if this helps?
I usually either have flux networks with the player charging on or i use Powah's version of the same thing. I also use a curio slot for my wireless crafting and set up a hot key like G to open the wireless! It all depends on the pack you are playing though 😉
You can use an export on redstone mode and then use a detector to provide a redstone signal when gold goes above 50k. I added timestamps to this guide so you can click the detector and export buttons 😁
Wind turbines from mek for start, powah magemeter or reactor for mid and the mycelial reactor from industrial foregoing OR of course the Create power after you get an ATM star 😉 I cover this in my New ATM9 tips and tricks btws!

I am using refined storage 1.20.1, I am doing everything right, but when I open the crafting grid, I cannot put anything in it. I have energy and a disk, but for some reason, in the video, you can put 8 disks and I can put 6 disks, please.
@@Pilpoh it is! I went through the effort of (almost entirely) recreating your setup! I'm in Atm9 btw not that I think it effects it. I had it setup as core, craft manager on top of the core, pattern grid to the left of the core, crafter to the left of pattern grid, cable coming out the back of the crafter and exporter into back of the pattern grid! I even tried rotating the pattern grid thinking it might be a specific side. And it had full power with the resources needed to make atleast a stack of patterns.
maybe I am dumb but why would you ever do anything but keep your entire storage in one place? Why export out to other chest I guess is the question I am curious about
This is the main reason more experienced people prefer Applied Energetics 2. There is no way to do a craft with an item like the mystical agg gem in RS. You would have to export the inferium into something like a crafter from RFTools and then import the result back into the system 😕
There is an addon mod called RSInfinityBooster that allows for an upgrade like the range upgrade that makes it so it can be accessed anywhere. It's called the Dimensional Upgrade or something to that effect. If you don't have that mod you can always use the networks receiver and transmitter and add another wireless access point to it at the location you need it 😁

Simple answer? With a mod that provides power... I left the power options out of this video because not all mod packs have the same power options 😉 look up the power mods you have, mekanism, powah ect. and look up how to make power with them, that hasn't got anything to do with refined storage...

Fluid storage is the same as item storage but with fluids 😂

The default keys for JEI are "R" for finding the recipe of something and "U" for finding what recipes the item is used in 😉

If you don't have a mod that allows you to charge items then I don't think you would be able too 🤔

Are you sure your grid or disk storage is connected? 🤔
For some reason when I hook up my pattern grid exactly like you did to autocraft patterns it doesnt work.
Is it touching the network? 🤔 The network might need more power too!

They each need a transmitter unfortunately 😔
Can you rename the network cards with an anvil?
You can colour the network transmitter and receiver! You can also use signs on transmitters to tell where they go 😉
