Glad to see you keeping on with the keeping on Steve...I have no doubt you will ace the problem...in the words of Mr.KIndig .."that's one bitchin ride"😅😅😊✌
Take a good look at the lifters and and the cam , seeing problems with lifter failures ,the rollers are failing also valve springs are failing in those engines , swap out the cam lifters and valve springs , while you are in there , call rpm in delaware , and get one of there cam packages
I've had a few of the 6.0 6.2 heads replaced/ remanufactured do to what I would valve coning the valve's look like they trying to pop the head of the valve stem everyone of these motor had a random misfire and would not hold pressure on a leak down test
Bonjour Steve, What a pleasure to see a "real" engine ! In France, because of taxes, it has become impossible, except for millionaires, to buy a car with more than 150 HP. For a 190 HP new car, I should have to pay 15 000 $ of extra exo taxes !!! These taxes can go up to more than 50 000 $ for a supercar... Thank you to share with us these last big engines still alive and I am sure you will find where its trouble is. Besides this, stay safe, Amicalement, Raphaël
Good to see a new vid from you Steve! A bit longer would have been better, but at this point I'll take what I can get! My son is a big LS nut, so finding the cause as to why it wasn't running right is excellent knowledge in the realm of LS motors...
Yes it was built for a realtor friend of mine. Turns out it wasn't ideal in her line of work. We created something more suitable for her and I was extremely happy to buy it back.
Many of the builds from Vegas Rat Rods went home with the owner. Others have left them in my showroom so those who come in to Welderup can see them. Some are being stored. I have purchased some of the cars back. The Haunted car did not work out for the realtor with showing houses and her clients. I was excited to buy it back and help get her something that worked better for her. Thanks for watching!
My favorite build from the show! I know you told me the show is done, but do you still have the crew from the show building custom one offs? Or is this a personal project garage for you now? Either way, keep up the content.
@@speedfreak8200 ok. I don't know about Nevada, but here in MI, where almost everything at one point was in lock down, collision, mechanic and custom shops, never closed. You from there? Just wondering since you felt like answering.
Since the Covid outbreak we have had to close the shop. I and one other mechanic are working daily on personal and client builds. Like everyone else we are hoping we can get up and running again soon. Thanks for the comment! Appreciate it.
What a pain but you will get it sorted, I have to learn about computers in car's always like old school just carby and small amount of wiring to work out lol 👍🏾👍🏾😀
Hello Steve, it's Lars and i wonder if you wanna do it go faster, cause it's a bad ass car, i now you're a prankster and so am i Steve, can you be cerious for more than a minute, I tryed it once and it felt like an hour ☺️☺️ keep up with the bad ass car of yours 🤘👍👍
Just getting caught up from the TV days. Is this the haunted rod ? Also curious if Steve was able to get his knee fixed. Talked to his sister several times at the shop. Best decision to get mine fixed I could have made. Enjoy the videos.
Yes this is the Haunted 55 Chevy for the TV episode. I did get my knee fixed and I am doing well with it. Like you best decision. Thanks for watching! Appreciate it.
Sick car man ! I have alot of experience with Ls engines thanks to a auto salvage place that tried to screw me . Do you have Hp Tuners? That would have been a good place to start, then everything else. I know you guy's got skills so not trying to act like a know it all just trying to help ya if you have a problem later
@welderup why do you have all of the cars from the show? They always have a client that you are building them for on the show? Doesn't this car belong to that realtor chick?
Yes it does. I had the good fortune of buying it back from her. The car was fun but didn't work well in her business so we found her something that worked better for her but still left a lasting impression for her clients. Some are left in the showroom by the owners on display. Many have gone with the owners. Many are my personal builds. Thanks for watching!
. As much as we loved doing the show, Vegas Rat Rods has come to an end for now. I have gone to RUclips where I hope to bring you closer to the details of what I do. Thanks for watching!

Many of my builds have gone with the client. Some have stayed with me for a time so they can be seen in my showroom. @@WelderUpVegas thank you I definitely will one more question i really liked Dan the engine guy I am engine guy myself what ever happened to him one thing about Vegas rat rods show is you get attached to characters next thing you know they disappear and there is no explanation of what happened to them.
Looking forward to finding out what is wrong with the engine. Wishing all of you well Happy Holidays Take Care
Thanks Timothy! Happy Holidays to you!
Arcing thru the sides of the Coil pack boot instead of thru the plug similar to the Ford 5.4 problem
Dude at around 6 minutes i thought you were turning into dan, looking over the top of your glasses explaining stuff lol
keep it up geezer 🤘
Beautiful car...I had a 54 Belair on air ride with a 500 cadillac...loved that car and regret letting it go..
I've had a couple of cars I've regretted letting them go. I know the feeling. Thanks for your comment!
Steve, ‘daily driver any size” LS “,,smaller more power but the big plus is “ LS “,,has more available parts!!,,

Love the LSA engine package! I recently bought a stock 2010 CTS-V. Killer drivetrain!
Deff knock can be issue those LSA are bulletproof no reason why you should have problems

Injector not working on that cylinder maybe ?

Fantastic 55'! Watching for updates on this beautiful work of rolling art.
Sickest 55' in all eternity. And there are a lot of bitchin' 55's out there.
Should have done a compression and leakdown test

sweet looking car. do you think toyota priuses will look this cool with a patina paint job in seventy years? 😆
I think you have a bad wire between coil and spark plug ( see video on Finnegan Garage with the engine of the boat )
Do you work in the shop that dark all the time? It looks badass on camera with the neon and shit, but that’s gotta be a pain in the nuts.
Hey Wes! I will typically work with the garage open during the day to let natural sunlight in!
That is one badass car of course everything you build is cool as hell
Can't wait to see this happen! Good show, thanks!
Pull the motor to rectumfy (rectify) the problem
OMG is this Steve that I saw at FiTech 😉
Great channel bro. Car looks great and sounds even better!!
My wife drives a 2014 Camaro ZI-1 with the Caddy engine and a six speed manual...it'll blow the doors off my L-78 BBC....LOL
Very cool Steve I don't know alot about ls engines looks like they can make power
The stuff you build is so cool👍
Can we get a new video of the 2 stoke truck build with engine sounds??? Why not it would definetly go viral and help this channel
We had an error in editing. I agree the music was way to loud. Maybe I will show the 2 stoke again in the future.'Thanks for watching!
