    Has Antarctica always remained in its current position? I ask because of the periods of time where it was green , lush, and full of life. Not to mention the other continents that were moving. Thanks..

      @@reginaucker3533 No. All of the tectonic plates float on the asthenosphere, colliding into each other, moving apart, and sliding by each other. There are great videos on plate tectonic movement through historical geology. Africa and South America were once together....

      @@reginaucker3533 I find it funny how the earth is billions of years old but we just started to civilize & create electricity just over a century ago. That being said, pyramid, Stonehenge, & even Antarctica. Which all were part of some ancient advanced civilizations.

    Interesting video and greetings from London. In fact, the comparison of London which is indeed 607 m² is correct in comparison for the magnitude of icebergs about to break away from Antarctica. Furthermore, any territorial claims by Norway and the UK are legitimate, since the first two nations to Antarctica circa 100 years ago! A final point , pragmatism rules too, all countries with any territorial claims have bases already on Antarctica , backed with reasonable proximity and the technical, engineering, and scientific research claims to do so! 😮🎉

    It's not bad for us I wish people would quit saying that if all the ice melts there's not going to be that much of a sea rise yes at the equator it may be up to 200 $200 to 300 ft but that's only at the equator caused by centrifugal force

    It took how many years to drill to that depth? Sounds like a slush fund. They drill through solid rock on the north slope in a few days to reach that depth.

    Interesting. A giant glacier just hit the Atlantic side of Africa Sahara. Couldn’t see end of it but could see it washing up onto the sand cliffs/side to ocean. Is it this one or another one?

      Scientists can only hypothesize, by inaccurately using only carbon-14 for dating anything, that is found to be younger, than that 6000yrs biblically correct age of the earth. 🤷
