I use my TNs as commonplace books. Very therapeutic and useful. It frees up my consciousness to stay in the moment, because I write down things I want to remember. Great habit.
Amber I love your videos! You’re such a good detail teacher. I just rewatched your craft fair videos looking for Christmas ideas. My 13 year old granddaughter loves doodling drawing and writing in dairies, journals or notebooks. I just ordered from Amazon the journals you recommended to make 5-6 for her for Christmas. I’m going to turn one into a bill journal for my daughter. Thank you so much for making all these for us.
Thank you for another great tutorial. This one was especially timely because I had picked up a bunch of stapled booklets and didn't know how to cover them without having them bunch up at the spine. Your instructions, as always, were clear and easy to follow.
Well, I can’t help it Amber, I have to say that you are an absolute GENIUS!!!! I love all your videos, and I am using so many of your ideas for our church bazaar craft fair this year. So now, watching this video I have decided to make these wonderful journals for my family as Christmas gifts, we are having another “be frugal” Christmas this year, so this journal idea is greatly appreciated! Thank you so much Amber!
I really like the Commonplace Book concept, so functional for a variety of uses. Journal, diary, etc.! Your instructions are clear. The ability to mix and match papers makes each one unique!! Beautiful!! TYFS 😊❤️👍🏼👏🏻
Amber u made me smile. These r so cute. I found blank journals four to a pack I think for 3.50 from Dollar General. They don’t have a lot of paper in them but I can use them for this craft. Thank u.
Super adorable. You came thru AGAIN, Amber. I’m going to make some for my craft fair in a few weeks. I ordered the books off amazon but they look real similar to the journals that have your initial on the front at dollar tree. Got the paper ordered and I already have the seam binding from a previous project!! Can’t wait to get started!!
I am using these in journals that I'm making for the new year for friends and for sale... Amber, thank you so much for being the inspiration and muse to all the energy I have for creative projects that I can't envision! You've managed to give me some really amazing ideas that melded into what I was doing!
I love these! The paper collection is gorgeous! I have a lot of papers in my stash that would work well for these! I want to make these for gifts! They are so versatile and useful for everyone! ❤️
Thanks Amber! Love these! A group of friends from elementary school and up, we will be celebrating a Milestone birthday together in December. A girls weekend!! I’m looking for fun things I can duplicate fairly easy, there will be 12 of us!! These will be great!!! 🦚 Appreciate your creativity!! 🎨
These are great Amber! You inspired me to start making things with my scrapbook paper to sell at craft fairs. I’m participating in my first one this year.
Just watched your craft fair recap. You mentioned these didn't sell very well. I agree with your theory about why they didn't have much interest. They might have had more interest if they were holiday themed, but I imagine their name, *Common Place Books*, could have been the reason too. As someone with ADD, these would appeal to me as a place to move some of the many ideas that constantly overwhelm my brain out of my brain by recording them to a safe place. If they were called something reflecting that purpose, it would probably grab my attention as something I needed. Something like *Brain Clutter Dumper* might work. A little book like this would be easy to keep with me at all times and because it is so pretty, I would be encouraged to use it. Since my creative genius ideas (LoL!) are not common place, they wouldn't belong in a Common Place Book. 😉
I think these are a fantastic idea! I may try to make some, plus a few on the smaller size, also..... As I like things that are tiny! Love to use papers that you can mix and match, too! TFS!! 💟 Hugs n Luv, Suzy x
These are adorable Amber. Bet they would do well at a craft fair. I'm going to attempt a craft fair, but gotta get items made and you are my go to. TYFS
I was waiting for this video to be posted. Awesome project amber thanks for sharing! I love all of your projects. Can’t wait for the next one -Angelique
Yippee another great tutorial. So love this time of year. You gave me a chuckle on your ending. 💜🤷♀️🥴 Don’t stay on the beaten path, make your own path as Mary Engelbreit says.
Such creativity Amber, I love them and will definitely make these for my family and friends as gifts. I'll try to sell some at my Xmas craft fair. Thank you so much for your ideas and videos 🇬🇧
Love this idea! I made one today but with scrapbook paper, cut a parts, ribbon and 3-D flower since I've banned myself from buying anymore craft products until after Christmas (We'll see if that actually works...lol) and I don't have any chipboard or puffy stickers in my stash.
What a great idea! I am not a ribbon closure type. I’m thinking about adding a paper closure with magnets .... that way I could also add a pen .. it would hook on the paper closure. What do you think? Love this series. Looking forward to your next video. xoxo
Another great tutorial. Thought I would share: Dollar zone has a very similar journal, 5 x 8, 96 perforated pages, Kraft cover (Paper craft by design, www.papercraftproducts.com ). They are dot grid not lined but I like that I can doodle too.
What a beautiful gift to make for a teenaged girl!!💖
