Hello Morgan, thank you for the informative content! Can you clarify in what format we need to submit our portfolio? As a pdf or will a online website link work too?
Hi Morgan, I'm an architect working in retail. I am interested in AR-retail experience. I'm confused about which track to apply to LMC or ID. I really appreciate to know a little more about LMC
Hey Morgan, love your videos. Is there a strict mandate on eligibility for students that have done their undergrad for a 3 year course. I did my bachelor's in IT, a 3 year course and want to switch to design(UX)
Oh so i'm not the only one who waited until the last minute? phew lol good. I would've done this sooner I just thought I had absolutely 0 chance of getting in but I was convinced to try anyway.
Thanks for making this video, it's super helpful! I wonder if there's some students who was in the marketing field, because I am trying to put my marketing/brand strategy projects in my portfolio which i did with my school club members but i'm afraid that it might look irrelevant 😥
I’m not sure exactly but I know we have had people come from the business world! I don’t think it’s be irrelevant! Just Make sure you tie it to your interest in HCI.
Hey Morgan, I want to become UI/UX Designer but I come from a core computer engineering bachelor's and want to switch to design. I also saw that most students come from the ID background in the ID track. Do they accept people from different backgrounds in ID specialization?
@@MorganChin Hey! Thank you so much for replying. I've been a bit stressed about this since I I don't enjoy computing that much and want to try out ID since the courses match my interests. Also Koda did help in alleviating my stress 🙃
@@vaash832 of course!! That makes sense though! Honestly the tracks don’t matter at all. You can take classes from any track once you get into the program. So choose the one you most likely will get accepted to
Hi! I come from Fashion Management background, I got interested in UI/UX due to my experience in E-commerce, do you think I will be a fit for HCI program?
Thanks for your excellent Video! I’m preparing for my application for Gatech HCI and I’m from architecture background. Actually, I already have a portfolio for application, but they are all APP/web designs. I’ve done researches about the Id track and found that they are more like designing physical products. I want to be a ux designer in the future and I don’t have any physical product in my portfolio or any experience like that, could you tell me will it influence my application? Also, I didn’t find any requirement of personal statement on website, I just stressed myself as a research based designer and talked about my experience in app design internship, will that be ok?
Hey! I studied architecture in my undergraduate studies and my portfolio has architecture and interior design projects. Is that okay for the applying at the School of Industrial Design for MS in HCI?
Very helpful video. Please is there a way I can apply for the application fee waiver?
@@chinonsokodiechi8153 I’m not sure I would check the website! Glad it helped!

Hey! If you check the Digital Media website (same thing as LMC) then it’ll give a description and the courses offered!

If you want to do it, then you are fit for it. So yes!

Many ID students come from architecture so and architecture portfolio works! Also your personal statement idea sounds good!

Hey! I believe so! My classmates who have architecture backgrounds used their architecture work for their portfolios.
