Rock-paper-scissors is finally gone from Hearthstone! Now it's just Rock and Paper. Paper (plague DK) covers Rock (Reno), and Rock beats everything else. Fun times. The opponent totally threw the second game by Reno-ing too soon.
@@roslolian11 You missed my point, which was that if you're not playing Reno or Reno's only counter, you might as well not be playing. (Also, Plague DK has a 74% win rate against Reno Warrior. A few lost games don't really paint the whole picture.)
Yep, as a returning player I loved the meta before rotation, it was a blast. Everything had a counter so almost everything had a chance. Now I'm not interested in playing again, DK and Warrior are both unfun to play against a lot. It's frustrating just to watch fun decks get steamrolled, let alone play them.
How about changing Reno to 'if your deck didn' t start with duplicates'? It'd be a nerf to plague's total lockdown of highlander, but keep him from being auto included in a lot of normal decks for late game clear when the deck is thinned out enough. Or DH decks like this running duplicates.
I'm starting to think this might be the best option. Won't be as easy to splash Reno is randok decks making it more of an actual deckbuilding restriction but also making it so plague DK isn't the most obnoxious deck to play against
@@jopodevine I would agree on the Reno thing but I feel like it still leaves the other payoff cards out to dry. I wanna see Reno get the above change and Steamcleaner to come back so there is at least some counter play for the highlander decks to plague. Also reduce the odds of Mag from windowshopper lol
At the very least, they should have added steam cleaner to the core set while plagues are in standard. Can't wait until they add some trash 10 cost spells soon. Super tired of warrior dealing 60 damage for 3 mana..
@TwizzElishus 9 Mana to turn on your reno and whatever other highlander payoff cards that are you win the game, and avoid taking 40 damage seems worthwhile to me. You also don't need to pick it from etc, but to have it as an option is super useful. Otherwise you get aggro decks, reno warrior, wheel Warlock and plague dk as the entire meta. It's not very fun.
@@seanbeckett6633 maybe just slow enough? DH seems to be a slow control deck. And against control you need either value or speed. I think it's not fast enough, so let's try to grind?
My favourite moment here was seeing the first game actually losing. It shows a sort of sincerty to post games that have good back-and-forths even if one doesn't win.
It's really not that rare for Kibler to show interesting losses. Boring wins and losses don't make the cut for a youtube video, they're a dime a dozen. "Oh, that Aggro deck killed me turn 4 because I was slightly unlucky on my draws and couldn't do anything." Greaaat video there. Wins are more fun obviously, but a funny or interesting loss is not something bad either. Some youtubers don't understand that though, they MUST be shown winning at all time, indeed.
Reno decks will never not be triggering in some way. Too many powerful cards auto included into a deck thats essentially bad without Reno. 2nd opponent completely lost because they renoed on a small board
God I don’t know why I always give this game another chance each year at rotation. It’s the same problems they refuse to back down from. Mana cheat letting you completely break otherwise balanced cards, and discover letting you pull random answers out of your ass that can’t be played around. Multiple three and one mana Magtheridons is fucking ridiculous and I’m seeing it every other game.

But it's for nouns in a different declension (third rather than second), which is where the -us in octopus or platypus comes from: they derive from "pous, podes" meaning foot or feet
God, this meta is so miserable. If its not plague knight, it's DH, and both of them are just gonna run Reno anyway. It's insane that they nerfed Paladin without nerfing the things that Paladin was keeping at bay.

This isn't really true from my experience unless I get off the Helya in time the Brann Warrior can still get off their Brann and win the game.

I have found great success in my Zilliax being a perfect + copy one because of how strong it is to get 4 zilliaxes with shudderwock.
