I just used sister htv and totally forgot it wasn't cricut htv and I totally burnt my item🤦 I did cricuts heat settings for cotton which is 400 degrees which is probably nearly 100 degrees more than it should've been.. This was a first for me in the 2 years I've been crafting and I'm now terrified to finish the projects I have to do. But this video was SO informative and I thank you for that. You're so knowledgeable and I'm envious of it. I've wasted so much vinyl all bc I simply just don't know or forget. My machine ends up lying dormant for months and months bc I lose interest in it as every project I tackle never goes my way. Like when you weed, that neverrrrr happens so easily for me. I just laugh when I watch you weed with ease AND so quickly! Lol
so helpful!!! Working on a project and have not used Siser yet. Had it for two years. I think your tip with warming up the pad first is going to be helpful. Great Demos! Thank you!
I have so many unfinished projects, the next generation will have something to do! 😅 I don’t know what the problem is! You have definitely inspired me to at least finish half umm one quarter of them.😂
Lol well we would love to see what projects you are finishing! Are you a member of our Facebook group? You can join here: facebook.com/groups/1930716583871665 - Dawn 🙂
Loved both projects 😂 I am not a seasoned crafter but I have learned a lot of tips n tricks the last two years from watching your tutorials as well as other talented crafters. I love how you explain each step and share any tips for those oops moments. I use a sticky lint brush when weeding. It sticks to my table so no worries of it rolling away 😊
Thank you, Shannon! We're glad we could be here to help. Are you a part of our Facebook group? It's very beginner friendly: facebook.com/groups/1930716583871665 - Dawn 🙂
Thank you so much for stopping by and watching with us today, Grace! We hope to see you at our next premiere, today at 4pm EST! Jump in the chat and say hello! - Dawn 🙂
I love this video. I got away from all my projects for far too long and I'm more of a get all the tools, gadgets, supplies, etc. gal and not get around to making something. I'm glad I at least used my Cricut for one project. That said, I do love this project--I think I'll put that on canvas and hang it in my craft room. Your tip about heating it up briefly before weeding was new to me and I will definitely heed that advice. Thanks for a really great video. I also love the "I can totally make that" project behind you--I guess I'd have to caveat the "when" to all of that, LOL! ONE QUESTION I just remembered: as you mentioned some folks LIKE ME get all excited and buy every color imaginable (I definitely got carried away!). Well, I bought a bunch of beautiful GLITTER Sisal Easyweed. Do you have any tips specifically on the glitter vinyl (HTV)?
New to all of this but enjoying all the videos. I’m confused as to which side goes face down on the mat though for htv. How do you know which side is ‘shiny’?
Can you tell me what setting would you use for glitter vinyl htv? I bought that one before I knew about the sparkle and I have a cricut explorer 3 as well. Thank you in advance 😊
Every time I try to use scissor on my cricket and use other HTV in the settings choice it cuts completely through the vinyl and so when I go to pull it up, it leaves the letters behind any tips for that because it is incredibly frustrating. And yes, I did change the settings to less.
I use empty tissue boxes…they have that film that’s split ( that you pull the tissue through) which grabs the weeded vinyl from your weeding tool. It keeps my work area free of little bits and pieces .
Hi. Thank you for the tips and tricks. I’m VERY new to Cricut. I haven’t tried htv yet. I only have a mini press that I was gifted with my Explore 3 for Christmas. Can I even do htv with that tiny mini? Thank you
Hi Tiffany! Siser is a great brand to use and very user friendly, we highly recommend it, but you can use whatever HTV brand you have or that is available for you - Dawn 🥰
What do you use to transport an iron on sold to be mailed out? Without ironing it onto an item? (So that a customer can iron it onto an item they already have at home)
Hi Elisabeth! When transporting iron-on transfers that are not yet applied to an item, it is important to keep them protected from heat, moisture, and other potential damage. Here are a few options for packaging and shipping iron-on transfers: Plastic sleeves: Place the iron-on transfers in clear plastic sleeves to protect them from moisture and scratches. Rigid mailers: Use a rigid mailer or a cardboard envelope to protect the iron-on transfers during shipping. This will also keep them flat and prevent creasing. Bubble wrap: wrap the iron-on transfer with bubble wrap before placing it in a mailing envelope or box. This will add extra protection during shipping. Use a heat sealer : If you have a heat sealer you can use it to seal the plastic sleeves, or bags to make sure that the heat transfer vinyls are protected from heat and moisture. It is also important to provide clear and detailed instructions for applying the iron-on transfer, including any specific heating and pressing instructions, to ensure that the customer can successfully apply the transfer to their item at home. In summary, when transporting iron-on transfers that are not yet applied to an item, it is important to keep them protected from heat, moisture, and other potential damage. Hi Crystal, Atina here from Orlando, FL 🥰
Thank you for watching with us today, Atina! - Dawn 🙂
New to all of this but enjoying all the videos. I’m confused as to which side goes face down on the mat though for htv. How do you know which side is ‘shiny’?
I am wondering if you have tried to use the Siser HTV with the Cricut Venture? Would love to see you work with that.
Can you tell me what setting would you use for glitter vinyl htv? I bought that one before I knew about the sparkle and I have a cricut explorer 3 as well. Thank you in advance 😊
Yes
Amazing!!!!like both of them. How or where can I buy the exact siser sparkle vinyl? I love it. Thank you for sharing.

Do you have a certain Siser HTV you recommend for Corded Crew Sweatshirts?
What type of parchment paper do you use? I have heard butcher paper and am getting confused between the two
Did you put shining part on the mat
I use a lint roller for the tiny scrap pieces.
Yes! This was one of my favorite tricks - Dawn 🥰
Hello! I tried using white iron on vinyl on a black shirt but when I washed it it turned brown. Do you know what I might have done wrong?
Shiny side up or down when using siser on Cricut maker 3?
Every time I try to use scissor on my cricket and use other HTV in the settings choice it cuts completely through the vinyl and so when I go to pull it up, it leaves the letters behind any tips for that because it is incredibly frustrating. And yes, I did change the settings to less.
Hi Crystal, I know what you mean; I made a valentine's day shirt for myself & I put the ❤on the wrong side of the words. lol
Oh no! I bet only you noticed it though! - Dawn 🙂
@@DesignBundles no, other ones noticed & told me about it. Sad 😪
I use empty tissue boxes…they have that film that’s split ( that you pull the tissue through) which grabs the weeded vinyl from your weeding tool. It keeps my work area free of little bits and pieces .
That is such a smart way to reuse a tissue box!! Great thinking!! - Dawn🙂

@@DesignBundles thanks 😊
I resurfaced a Huggies baby wipe container for my weeding pieces to dispose of.
We just read about this as well! Smart thinking! - Dawn 🙂
What font did you use, that was an easy weed!
Hi Maria! It was an SVG from this bundle here: designbundles.net/regulrcrative/2063437-tote-bag-svg-tote-bag-bundle-shopping-bag-svg - Dawn 🙂
Is Siser better to user when customizing shirts and tote bags?
Hi Tiffany! Siser is a great brand to use and very user friendly, we highly recommend it, but you can use whatever HTV brand you have or that is available for you - Dawn 🥰
@@DesignBundles awesome! Thank you so much for the feedback 🥰
I'm a beginner so this question may be stupid. Where are you finding the files? Ate you just searching in design space
