Intressant i såna fall. Dynamiskt!
Rob'n'Raz featuring Leila K - Got to Get I remember Bill Bailey had a funny bit especially about Swedish people clapping, when I was at his standup show a few years ago.
The song they are covering is "Living next door to Alice". In public when you hear this song, it is kind of a thing that the audience shouts "ALICE ALICE WHO THE FUCK IS ALICE" in the middle of the chorus. Thats what they did here as well.
What I really hate is egoists who refuse to blända av, despite me blinking one time, waiting a second or two, then blinking again.. Love their classic series Full Frys btw!
You don't know "Smokie - Living Next Door To Alice"? I was hoping that The Boppers had done a cover of it but sadly I don't think they have, so we don't have a Swedish angle to it so that you can react to it here. But still, you need to listen to it, it's really good! Also, you should react to The Boppers, they have done a lot of good songs but you could start with "The Boppers - Jeannie's Coming Back", it's my favorite Boppers song, but there's a lot more, they also did a lot of covers, but their own songs are just as good if not better :)
I would say the point and the meaning of this song is to "parody" the phenomena of "Svensk Samhällsinformation", as presented by 80's tv programs like "Anslagstavlan" for example.
There's no other meaning behind this lol. They're not that deep. There's many people who don't like their kind of humor(my mom is one of them haha), their humor can get pretty dirty, but I've always found them funny. They've done alot of live shows and stuff. Mostly about Sweden back in the 40, around that time.
It's funny how people who didn't grow up with a language makes mistakes, I do it myself mistaking some Scotish accents for Irish, or messing up the US accents. It is clearly not Skånska, Blekingska, or Småländska. It is defenitely not Mälardalen or Dalmål, or "Norrländska". My guess would be close to Gothenburg, but not in the city, I hear some of the aspects of Östgötamål, so I would guess east of Gothenburg
No, no deeper meaning. 😂 I think its like as if someone who don't know a word of English hear Living Next Door to Alice, and they think the song is about remembering to blända av till halvljus.
The clapping annoys me too, when I am watching live sports or what ever and people start clapping to the singing totally out of sync or like in this video
Idea for a tuesday night hang: listen to (watch) Så Mycket Bättre covers of songs you have reacted to on this channel, especially the ones where you have previously also listened to the artist making the cover. If we take your next reaction as an example, Magnus Carlson (the singer from Weeping Willows) made an absolutely gorgeous cover of Kärleken är. And Jill herself made a great cover of Öppna din dörr, a song which you recently reacted to.

This is CERTAINLY NOT a ”swedish classic” song?!? 🙃 Don’t get this suggestion at all?? Maybe this suggestion was meant to be as a “viral classic”? But really don’t get that either. This is neither funny or classic (to me). 🤷♂️ (PS. This is a narrow type of humor that mostly only elderly people find funny)
He sometimes listens to songs that are classics in certain communities. And Stefan and Christer are huge in the countryside in some parts of Sweden (but also well-known generally because of their tv-shows in the 80’s/90’s and farces and buskis that are still shown on tv).
They are actually not talking skånsk dialect, they are from Halland or south Västergötland and it is their original dialect

Right on time for the morning coffee. I'm starting to like this routine ;)
Perfect!

Nära nog

I can't say anything about this song. 😅 But I have a suggestion: Because i'ts April, maybe you could react to April April, with Lill-Babs? 🙂
Or Siw Malmkvist?!

Love them and this one. The other studio version or whatever is better.
The best dialect. Very close to mine.
You didn't miss any jokes, there where none. It's disappointing that you picked this instead of basically any other Swedish song.
Haha, don't come to Skåne after this, and if you do watch your back ;). Just joking ofc, but thats not skånska
"Kärleken är" is a skånsk banger btw
