Krystoff texting a sim repeatedly makes sense as the son of Bernice, seems like something she'd do.
Some man busts into your home with his six kids, blows past you to hang out with your toddler, then invites them to a dog park after dark.

I think the crystal is fine. It was a gift from the Sims God. Playing this challenge myself and having 2 sets of twins back to back was near imposable. I wish I was able to find a Plumbite.

Seeing James struggle is fun though 😂 I’m doing the challenge too and in the first round I ended up with triplets! I was constantly passing out and getting notifications my babies might get taken away lol

James forgetting things he’s changed or forgotten to change are always my favorite moments 😂 One of my most cherished memories of James are Prinson Architect when he’d forget to turn off intake and get a bunch of new prisoners and then panicking because he had no money and nowhere for them to go. 🤣

The Adult>Elder task for the main sim could either be "have furnished rooms for every child" and/or have x amount of simoleons in savings....or maybe "have a completed renovated home" as a final task
Or maybe something aspiration related? Since Semaj will become an elder after this task is completed, he should reach his own life goals (an aspiration apart of being a super parent) by this point...?

Pro tip : if you need to be friends with a certain age group start a group and allow only that age. And it will bring up all of sims of that age

Suggestion: buy the Creative Visionary reward trait for Krystoff when you have enough satisfaction points. This way there's a higher chance to paint masterpieces. I'd love to see a few paintings from Krystoff decorating the house...

This episode was so chaotic. I was so entertained but also at the same time feel so bad for both James and Semaj. I say, just use the Plumbite crystal! It's not cheating if it's in the game, plus you got it from your good luck whilst playing the game, the Sims Thunder God gave it to you, you should be able to use whatever resources that was accommodated to you by the game! Please rest up whenever you can and sending lots of love and a speedy recovery to Bowser! Stay strong Deli and James!

Tip - I have found that Prom usually works if you attend high school with your teen on Friday.
For the YA to A tasks I'd suggest be MAX friends with all children as the goal to add a little bit of effort/challenge.

i definitely feel like the crystal is not cheating, otherwise it would be kinda impossible to keep up with all the kid's needs😭😂
I don’t have the crystal creations pack and I’m trying really hard to not cheat needs while I play this challenge. I had triplets the first round and kept having the babies’ dad stay over a week at a time so I could have the babies request help from him all the time 😂
It really is hard, I don't have the kit so had to rely on moodlet solver potions when my sim had one child, one toddler, triplet infants, and twin newborns. I legit felt bad for her.

It is cheating. What's the point of a "challenge" if you're going to find a work around to make it easier.. At that point, it's not a challenge. Same as creating a challenge just to speed through the whole process. Making non genuine relationships or forcing them just to take a sim to prom or date them. Then, changing the rules for high school grades because of not doing it properly and realizing later on how it should've been done. It's cheating regardless. If you're making it easier to do, it's cheating and a parent dying of a toddler during a toddler play date should be considered a failed challenge. It should be added to the rules. No parent of any child your sim or sim's child knows can die or you failed the challenge.
@@CharXP I mean you're not technically wrong but a little bit of cheating is sometimes more fun then an insufferable lot of eating sleeping feeding repeat and not getting to do any challenge related stuff cause you're busy keeping your sims alive, especially to watch. Like playing for yourself sure why not everybody can play the sims however much "cheaty" or not as they like but on youtube it would probably just take like 50 parts and get boring REAL quick
Also I get it's not ideal in real life but how would a parent dying during a toddler play date mean this task (that is not even a main goal but only a fun side quest) is failed? Like the toddlers met, the toddlers played, that's a toddler play date to me😅 also I think a parent dying just adds to the chaos we all love so much
And why would it have to be a rule that no parent of your kids can die? I mean how would you even prevent that like they're not in your household they can go die all they want😅
If Krystoph stays and lives with the family, you should move in Rahul and have them have an apartment on the same lot and have them pay rent! So they would technically live on the same lot but not in the same house
I think James's experience with the For Rent Let's Play will probably make him reticent to do that XD

Im sure someone else has allready done this, but a suggestion for those who want to play this challenge but dont have growing together or highschool years, heres some suggested basegame modifications based on some suggestions Ive seen:
Infant:
- find 2 foods the infant loves, 2 foods they like, and 2 foods they disslike using the high chair
Teen:
- earn an A in school
- reach level 5 in your teens chosen skill
- earn a promotion in a parttime job
Great idea. Cause I don't have those packs. I have parenthood though.
Isn't Growing Together the one with the milestones, though? So, I don't know that the food in highchair one will work.
@@user-qx4nr4cp6v it is the one with the milestones which is why I replaced the milestones with food in the highchair cause you cant unlock the milestones without growing together but you can try first babyfood in the highchair even if you dont have growing together, its actually easier to do the highchair for infants without growing together than with since you dont have to unlock loestones to be able to sit in it.

Taking the food home is not so unrealistic, my mother's work organizes these big gala events every few months and they make the employees take tons of uneaten food home with them 🤣 It looks somewhat like Semaj's inventory!
TOOL Mod Tip: In case this happens again, if you encounter a snow pile glitch in your room and can't move it out of the way. You can actually use your TOOL Mod and shift+click on it, toggle move object and move it out of your Sim's way. To move toggled object, just click on wherever you want the object to be moved, then you can access your room again. Also, the good thing about the TOOL Mod is, you can also use it on your Sims. For example, if a Sim refuses to move out of your Sim's way and blocking the fridge or whatever, you can shift+click on them, toggle move object and done. Sometimes, you may need to reset the Sim that you want to move away before using the TOOL mod on them.
It usually works to just delete floor without MOO and then Ctrl+Z. Floor comes back but none movable objects should go away.
Or, build a wall across the item without MOO, should also do it.
@@JustSaralius It's easier with the TOOL Mod, because it can be done in Live Mode without entering BB mode.
For the trendi outfits you could make them themed on their likes, favourite colours etc
I thought you would plan the toddler play date at the rec center, not outside. Too funny. Also, I think it would be fair if you made jewelry that fills needs for Semaj so he didn't need to eat or sleep, but let everyone else have regular needs that have to be filled. That would make it challenging but not impossible.
That entire scene during the play date was just too good. And at the end: the candles, the candles … I could almost feel how tired you were at that point. Awesome episode! Thanks, James!

i had a random thought last night in bed for a mini sims challenge which is, "try to complete a sleepover event in a room with rotting fish" 🤔 But i think this every life stage challenge is a little difficult lmao so maybe adding an extra challenge is a bad idea 😂

MCCC lets you change anyone's outfit if you click on them, go the MCCC menu, click dresser, and then you can change their outfit to whatever you want! RIP that kid's dad lol
I think it makes sense to mentor all of the kids because you're taking the time to learn each of their skills.

Just got to baby number 4 in my challenge save. It’s definitely been interesting 😂. When the adult sim (or whoever is carrying the toddler) stalls in doing something, check the toddler’s task panel to see if they’re watching that sim… it happens quite often for me and when I cancel the “watching” task, the same holding the toddler can actually do what you tell them.
Semaj breaks up with his wife in front of their kid, a parent dies in front of all of the children, and Krystoff misses out on his first kiss. Classic and hilarious 😂
As a toddler parent who does most of the childcare alone, i completely empathize with being tired and just done with things. 😅

First of all loving the long episodes. If you are looking for a suggestion to replace go to Prom as a teen to young adult requirement you could change that to earn a promotion in a part-time career or after-school activity.

First let me say, as a cat mother myself, i understand completely how estressful it is and I hope your little guy gets well as soon as possible...Por thing :')
Secondly, you shouldnt have to apologize to anyone for how you choose to play or not; i think people forget that gaming streamers are just PLAYERS...and even if they are "pros" (making money for sharing how they play), they have lives outside this... You wouldnt expect a cashier or a fireman to make themselves and their whole lives available to you, right? Well, James doesnt even have to let us know something is going on with him if he doesnt want to, and if he wants to use something thats a feature IN GAME, and a feature put there with the intent to be used that way at that -, he can do it, cause he doesnt even cheat very much and barely uses the most common mods... not like if he used them would be bad, im here for the stories he tells and to get inspiration for my own gameplay xD
Idk, i feel like James is constantly apologizing and explaining every little thing he does that helps him continue telling the story and I really feel like it's not that big a deal...It's not like modding/cheating is frowned upon on the sims...It's about telling stories!
And James already challenges himself SO MUCH to find new challenges and ideas to do for US and then to complicate the gameplay and not always go "the easy way", idk if anyone has said anything in comments before cause i dont really interact that much on youtube aside liking videos, but i hope if you have read all this you maybe thought about this

It's obvious to me that you don't randomly host an open-invitation playdate at your house to meet toddlers, but it never occurred to me that the concept of a playdate isn't common knowledge.
edit: I get it now that James was referring to it being weird in the sims because you don't have any other ways to meet toddles easily, but I misunderstood and it made me think of people hosting toddler open houses which made me chuckle 😆
Well yeah in real life that makes sense, but in the sims 4, there’s really no easy way to meet other toddlers easily. You either have to make them yourself, or like I did search every house to find them.
Or there’s making a club and only allowing toddlers.
It is weird though how hard it is to just do a toddler play date imo
In the sims 4, to host a toddler playdate i usually have to just make a new family in the neighborhood with toddlers because they never seem to appear naturally for me 😂 you really do kind of need a "lets meet random toddlers" event in TS4 as hilariously wrong it is
@@JamesTurnerYT That's fair. It just feels weird the thought of just inviting strangers to your house to hang out with your toddler. Maybe if it was named something else, or there was another way for toddlers to make friends. In real life you typically have toddler and parent classes where you usually meet other parents, they need something like that in the sims, maybe in the community center?
I mean I've scheduled toddler playdates with toddlers I wasn't friends with because I was friends with their parents.
@@gidgetgoeshawaiian That's a good point too. You should be able to invite a friend that has toddlers for a playdate.
They should really add a lot trait for "Toddler Time" or something like it, that could be applied to Rec Centers or parks, where there are toddler interactable objects, and Sims with toddlers show up, just like the teen hangout, and university hangout ones do. It would be incredibly helpful for building long term childhood friendships, and much more realistic. Toddlerhood is when you really start getting out in the world with your kid, interacting with other toddlers, especially at rec centers. There are so many mommy-and-me classes, where your kid meets other little ones, and they can then do play dates. Sims team, please make this a thing! Also, toddlers and children really SHOULD be able to "play together" on objects, like they could in TS2 & I assume, TS3.

Maybe for elder sim task you could have to gift a home made gift to each child , but something that can't expire. Something like a painting or knitted item, cross stitch, wood working, fabrication, etc. To make it more challenging you could make the item have to be skill level 4+ or something.
Gardening's gonna be hard in the winter, so you might want to shelter them. Also, there's a bug with plants that are out of season, where they get weeds and bugs, but can't be tended to. So long as you're tending the garden, I think it's fair to allow weeds to be cheated away when the plant is out of season

Instead of "Being friends with all children" you can cook with every child separately to spend time with them And you'll get the "Cooking together" sentiment.
He won't be able to do that with almost half of them though
Just put the crystal in the house!! It holds charge for two full days, you don't need to keep charging it the way you do currently - put it in the hallway so it reaches as many rooms as possible. Then charge only when you need to - the one night it spends charging won't be long enough to make everyone's needs abysmal, so it should help in the long run if you do it this way!
Edit: Also yay! I asked about the wheels on..I think it was the previous video, so I'm excited you made them publicly accessible! I found some good ones on my own but they were a pain to get every time so this will help immensely, and also make my own run of the challenge work a bit more like yours, which is what I wanted :D
in the previous episode he decided to keep the crystal on the charging mat so that it wasn't too OP. Before that he took it off the mat and put it in the hallway exactly as you describe, but people were commenting that it made the game too easy to always have everyone on max needs. This challenge is designed to be some level of struggle/chaos.

Just wanted to say that I really appreciate how we always get long videos from James! This challenge could have been split into twice as many parts with us having to wait longer in between, which I always find frustrating.
The fact that I get excited when I see a new video, not only that, I watch them twice. I am working so I listen to the chaos first and then re-watch and pay attention. Love the longer videos!
A good tip to help ease your frustrations: If you really want your sims to complete a task involving infants/toddlers, don't double or triple speed. It basically guarantees it'll fail. If you single speed, it has a much higher success rate lol

PRO TIP: A teen can study for exams on any computer, it is in the high school category. If you do that twice during a week, they will do well on their exams, even if you never join them at school.

James, you should get one of the pet doors. Toddlers can use them. I don't think there's been any mention of whether infants can use them as well, but I don't see why they wouldn't be able to. They're shorter than toddlers, so maybe the small pet door works for infants
