The landlord visit for the stove was so funny 😂 I have a feeling this will be a common problem for this LP..
This is the most accurate rental sim ever, nothing gets fixed and you have to pay for everything
Helpful Hint: For the best profit on the food stand, I've found that Challah (jewish bread; cooking level 2) will sell for $189 at LEVEL 2 and it goes for like $500 up at higher cooking skill😁 good luck getting rich!
P.S. imo "give sales pitch" is useless. It just distracts the sims from buying and it just takes longer ... Running the food stand and just standing there is the most effective way to make money😂
The give sales pitch thing has repeatedly gotten sims to buy, in my experience. (And IRL I just got done with a challah sandwich...mmm I love challah...)
I think if you have the recycle challenge trait that you'll have a better chance of things getting tossed in the dumpster. Namely, because the regular bins will get filled up pretty quickly. And then you can use the (almost) infinite rummage trick to get more parts for repairing and upgrading.
Here's how it works:
Rummage trashcan.
Trashpile appears.
Scavenge trashpile for parts.
Rummage trashpile.
Sort recycling or compost until trashcan is empty.
Throw trashpile away.
Repeat.
I had reuse and recycle on and my dumpster was filled at all times.
We also love the McGlorbins. Please include them in the family tree 😊
Maybe you should put the new mini fridge and pressure cooker in your room so if the stuff in the shared space breaks you have back up
I’ve only had the white cake glitch when visiting a lot once and it was in a household I made of Mr. Rogers, Levar Burton of Reading Rainbow, and Steve from Blues Clues 😂 It was kind of cute because wanting to make cake anytime someone visits is a very wholesome thing but literally every surface in the house had mixing bowls and cakes on it 😂
It is odd that the glitch hasn’t been fixed yet and that sims do it in the shared space in the rental space

I’m excited for this let’s play! My sim rented one of her apartments to Kitty Lu last night and they ended up dying from over exertion on the treadmill lol. It completely messed up the apartment. The game though they still lived there and wouldn’t even let me forcibly evict.
You should save some of the furniture you repair in your household inventory to furnish your first couple of apartments when you become a landlaird!
You should cook and sale all white cakes that your roommates start! It's free money!
Not surprised you got an insurance payout for the grill. Tenants can freely build, and sell existing items, in shared spaces. I did a bit of this myself about 2 days ago. Sold off some ugly little planters and set up woodworking bench and nectar maker on the lawn of the building run by Thi Linh.

I have had the puddle issue before, if you can see it through the ceiling on the floor beneath its a glitch, The only way I had fixed it was doing shift click I belive to get the option "debug delete" and it fixed that issue!

More maker space stuff! And maybe figure out a work around for getting the ability to fix furniture. Spell casting is fun but maybe getting to level 10 of handiness or soemthing and then you can just cheat it?

if you click on the appliance, there should be an option somewhere for "Complain About Condition" if it's rundown enough. I think I did see it on the fridge at some point, but you prolly missed it. I've been playing with the Handyperson career and it is kinda frustrating how sometimes they give you work-from-home jobs that are literally impossible to do. like one time, it said I had to repair something but nothing was broken. I pranked the toilet and then repaired it but that didn't count. I felt so cheated! great start to this Let's Play! Laird is already living her best life with a bike and a food stall!

Idea: buy a mini fridge for the room and go on a cooking spree in the shared space. Save everything in the mini fridge so that the other tenants don't help themselves to it, but it doesn't go bad in the inventory. Take things out when you're ready to sell so that you have a variety ready to go.
I had the same problem with my oven 🙄 cost my sim $1000 after I asked the guy 3 times.

The Sims team should update the woodworking table for sure! It's so sad that we have to use mods to make it fun to play with.
With the animanga inspired stuff in High School Years, figures for example..! Dog and cat figures with that pack, toys, etc. It's like they completely forgot it 😅
Meanwhile, we have like 8 drawing tables for kids 😅 I appreciate how many different styles of drawing table we've gotten, but it would be nice to see this passion for other objects too!
@@TeruteruBozusama even toys for kids. Because there are some wooden ones in the game. And with the new packs, we have so many wooden objects that look like they could have been made on the woodworking table.
It would be great to be able to build cribs, infant, and toddler beds on it, too!
I really love when James gets SO excited about how convenient and 'perfect' it is to have a maker's space in the world as if he didn't do it intentionally to help with handiness. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Haha, well I had it set as the regular community space - I figured I would have to vote to change it to maker, but it seems to have happened in game without me doing it! That's why I was excited by it haha

when u find a bike (or any draggable item) in the dumpster.. you have to put it first in your own lot. then go to build buy and put it in the household inventory for the game to consider it as your own

Thanks! I never knew there was an actual work-around 😂 I just always had to pay attention to be sure my sim didn't forget the bike somewhere lol
The game will eventually return the bike to you if it gets left somewhere, but it takes a little while.
@@mel_diamonddove9913 Same here, I was going to suggest selling the bike and buying a new one from Build/Buy for the game to consider the bike as Laird's.
@@FiveOnAFriday Only if you 'own' it, which he doesn't technically until he uses the work-around in the first comment. The game is treating it like he stole it from another sim atm.

Also why is it kinda really easy to make money in this game by just scamming your landlord and spreading secrets? I swear this is the strongest start for any of the bigwallets

For the White Cake situation, it's the Foodie NAP. Get rid of it, and disable NPCs from voting for NAPs in the options. This is why I don't play with any of the NAPs, most of them just cause really annoying stuff like the white cake making to happen.
Yeah, and might also be the other fitness nap that was causing so many sit-ups
I've disabled NAPs but still have sims making lots of white cakes in my game so I Imagine there's some other bug
Yeah, I use some mods that affect NAP behavior because I got SICK of that.

The pressure cooker requires chopping up for making food. I don’t think you can use it on the table. Although plain rice might work. Ice cream might be good in the summer. I don’t know how good the return is

For the Complain about conditions: click on a scuffed item, like the air conditioner, and complain to a neighbor about it. That will check it off!
There was this guy at the marketplace Alon Sadya, who bought and ate 3 portions of the poorly made food, which would make such a great storyline for a romance - it was a love of first sight, so strong that he risked with food poisoning for her. 😃 He could take over the marketplace and cooking(potentially opening a restaurant one day) , she could be the landlord-boss-lady.
I love that the McGloorbins are having their moment to shine as neighbours in this let’s play 😂

Ravasheen has a set called filthy fabulous and there's a spray bottle that lets you repair burnt furniture for a dollar. I think the sim sprays the object to fix it.

For those who doesn’t know halo halo is a shaved ice with milk and lots of different toppings. Usual toppings are ube, leche flan, pearls, jellies, sweet beans, and coconut meat.
If anyone has the 'have the property owner visit your unit' bug where it doesn't fulfill even though you asked the owner over, instead invite them to your lot via the relationship panel, not the phone, that should make it complete the task
Seems like it's just as difficult to get a landlord to fix things in the sims as it is in real life 🙃
