A very useful aide memoire to kit building. It is long time since I last did any serious kit building so thank you for this, it will be a great spur to starting once more. Personally I found the complexity of a kit depended on whether to paint first or leave to later to paint. If there are lots of intricate parts then this could turn into a nightmare to paint if the kit has already been assembled. So it's usually best to see how the kit is progressing, perhaps do some paintwork part way through, for me there is no hard and fast rule other than to avoid getting glue on parts that have been already painted for it can turn out quite messy if not careful. Great video Hattons and looking forward to some more…………:-)
Thanks, Dave for this video. As for painting or decorating a building, I sometimes find that it is easier to paint the interiors as you build the kit, especially if you are going to add lighting inside the building. I would really like a pot of that glue you used as I cannot find it here in Thailand and I do not know what the restrictions are about posting it. Martin. (Thailand)
Hi Barry, our website always has the latest live stock information so any info you see there will always be accurate. Is there a certain controller you're looking for?
There used to be a time when Hattons was a one stop shop, now they do not stock Bachmann, also their shipping software does not allow you to order & mail acrylic paints (in jars) by Royal mail overseas even though it is Legal (all other UK model shops do including Gaugemaster, Kernow etc)so in my case I wanted to order 2 Parkside PC41 van kits & Railmatch late bauxite acrylic paint, however only way is via DHL @ a vast cost due to the paint!
Ah nice! I was looking for more info about the plastic kits!
You are always a resource of info, since i always go on the store site! :)
Thanks Dave another well presented video. Those kits are the perfect way to get items quite cheeply for you layout and you have made them yourself.👍
Thanks Richard, we got there in the end! :-)

Some great tips there and the most important of all in that the rules don't always have to be followed :-) Thanks for watching.
@@HattonsModelRailways By the way, forgot to add, it was a nice clear presentation too, Ian :-)

Thanks Martin, unfortunately we can only ship glues inside the UK but if you search for the name and code you may be able to find a local supplier.
One would hope that before the up and coming controller showing, that Hattons will have some in stock.
