Is it worth considering the Intel Arc A750 if you're building a desktop in early 2024? Well, surprisingly yes and no, but take a look for yourself!
The Intel Arc A750 is a performance segment graphics card launched as a part of their first generation, code-named Alchemist, of discrete graphics cards! Surprisingly though, Intel has been in the GPU business for decades and you have probably experienced one of their GPUs integrated into a CPU. By percentage of devices sold with Intel graphics, they account for the majority of graphics solutions sold per year- however can their mobile expertise translate to the high performance, high power budget desktop discrete market? Well... surprisingly yes and no...
    Test System Specs:
    - Intel Core i5-13600k, 5.5GHz-P, 4.0GHz-E
    - Corsair H150i 360mm AIO
    - Gigabyte Z690 Aorus Elite AX DDR4
    - 64GB 3600MT/s G.Skill DDR4
    - Intel Arc A750 Limited Edition
    - WDB SN770 1TB PCIe 4.0 for games
    - Samsung 970 Evo 1TB PCIe 3.0 for OS/Boot
    - 650W EVGA PSU
    - Resizable BAR Turned On for Testing
A GPU is a separate bank of ALUs and FPUs, designed to offload heavily parallelizable calculations from the main CPU onto a dedicated chip. The Graphics Card refers to the entire sub-system, containing the PCB, Memory, and Cooling solution.
Building a Budget PC can be tough. Not only are GPUs and CPUs so incredibly expensive, but they can be hard to find on a budget... But, there are tips and tricks to finding you your dream Budget GPU, and pairing it with a CPU that will give you the performance you want!

As someone who does tests with my A770 on my B450 mobo, I can confirm PCIE Gen 3 works perfectly fine without issue. Same with REBAR.

@balunghero4708 Yup! I'm running it with a 5800x3D and it works flawlessly. Enjoy the A750, depending the games you play, it might be the best price to performance brand new gpu in its price range.

Just bought an A770 for my mini ITX media pc and it seems pretty solid for the price. was able to play helldivers on 1440 ultrawide at 60-70 fps. much more than i was expecting from it. havent used it much but still happy with the purchase. Curious what future driver updates might bring for the platform.

A770 for 4k mid to high settings in most is very playable. In XeSS XMX supported games also makes a good difference. Overclocking can give a good boost. 2786MHz at 1.16V at 271W. Very good value Xe32. Waiting for the predicted B980 Xe64/24gb/256 bus.

    PCIE 3.0 don't matter for the A750, since it uses 16 lanes unlike the 4060(Ti), 3050, 7600(XT), 6600(XT), 6650XT.

So much information. More I think about this more convinced I am that this card is driver limited. Hardware is there to do lot more. The question why isn't it I see only one reason that would give a bit sense. To sell this card it has to run very similarly with both AMD and INTEL platforms. Here is where it gets interesting. Battlemage I see will be optimal with 14th gen INTEL CPU and APO. Will this mean that when the drivers for the Battlemage come the Alchemist will also get the optimization for INTEL? There was a comparison for 4070 where my impression is that A750 has better hardware that on paper should deliver better results. Is this a driver compromise to work on both platforms? And now that sales are doing well and cards sold will we see split drivers for AMD and INTEL? Would make sense. APO will be a big jump when it gets more supported games. 10-50% gains predicted and the little taste we got has a big promise. Is this why we are waiting? The silicone is ready and INTEL is hard on the software side. I'm hoping they will make the drivers suitable for 13th gen CPU also as it has the same die. As it is now only 14th gen will offer the future with APO. But the reality is that $450-500 GPU is cheap and INTEL wants to make money and sell you the CPU also. I get that but 13th gen is very new still and I would personally feel a bit cheated.
