Found the OO 10 yo in NC at msrp at $100...spot on with your review...really a great year for rye with this release and the sagamore 8 yo batch 2a reserve
Bought 2 of them when I found it the other day...very available here with people just passing them up...of course, hasn't been out for long and expect that to change
I was just offered a bottle of OO10 10 minutes before this review!!! I really like your style and also the editing and multiple camera angles! Here's to both drums, and drams!
I paid 165 before tax for the Parker 10yr. at an allocated drop at a local Sam's this morning. It was a consolation prize as I was just out of landing an Old Fitz or a 10, 12 or 20 Pappy
Agreed 100% with you assessment. I had some people saying the OO10 was better than the PHC. Not quite… but the OO10 hits above its weight class while the PHC hits a bit below its weight class. I like them both.
I love the OO, half way through my first bottle and went back to ensure I had one on reserve…could not agree more with your OO assessment. Newer subscriber to your channel and greatly enjoying the content and format. Gonna join you live on Thursdays!
Nice review, Cam! I like them both, would take OO10 all day for price, prefer the PH10 overall but not worth 4x which is secondary pricing. Btw I have no idea why I labeled that PCH haha. It’s not heavy char, and even if it were it would be PHC and not PCH. LOL sorry!
I’ve heard a lot of bad reviews about the PH. I was lucky enough to snag a bottle at SRP and I think it’s pretty darn good. I don’t think it’s worth 400.
I scored two bottles of the Parkers Heritage 10 year rye (one of my few good acquisitions this year), found it quite good but not great (Handy Saz 2018, any Kentucky Owl, and older Willett are my favorite ryes to date). I have yet to run into an Overholt.
Great video! Like the comparison videos and would love you to compare pinhook 8 vs copper cask 8 year aged in Florida. Mgp off profile head to head….or to get content you can call out 13th colony double oak for being a fugazi Ala bourbon pursuit lol. Whatever you do just drop content ans keep it up!
I think I am passing on the OO10. Nobody seems to think this actually tastes like a rye. I actually love rye whiskey, and I want it to taste like rye, and not bourbon. I’m sure it’s good however. Thanks for the review. Correct me if I’m wrong though!
I am also a rye lover and I would recommend the OO10. Their are more rye oriented examples, but the OO holds it’s own as a top self rye. I went back a purchased a second bottle to ensure I had one in reserve, and again, I prefer ryes. Can’t beat OO10 at $92 here in Texas.
@@bekind1784 thanks. … you’d agree with his tasting notes though? Nutty, spice, caramel cinnamon, honey, caramel, etc? What are your other favorite ryes?
Sipping old overholt right now and it is amazing
It’s great stuff!
Old Overholt is fantastic.

I’m in NC as well and my fiance bought 5 of the OO. She loved their PA OHio release from 2 years ago so she stocked up

Totally would understand the disappointment of missing the Van Winkle stuff but the Parker’s is a great consolation prize. Enjoy!

I don’t have the Parker’s, but I picked up 2 backup Old Overholt jugs.

Haha all good man!! Cheers and thanks for such great whiskey as always 😁
Would love see review between overholt 114 and cask strength

You’re spot on and that’s something I wish I would’ve focused more on in this video!

Nice video I found the PH this year not the OO, what brand is the whiskey glass you are drinking with ? Cheers...
7:00 minutes before a taste?
Was probably nosing them first
