After 6 attempts I finally found this channel and finally managed it.. it continues tomorrow.. and I can finally go to sleep.. Thanks for the great instructions. 😊
With such amazing instructions Stephen makes these interesting shawl starts makes his shawls interesting and fun to knit. Thanks as always. This would be a beautiful shawl in so many yarns just wow. A fade, contrasts what ever your choice, Stephen makes such fun texture knitting. Thanks for helping us start another beauty.
Thank you, Stephen West, for another amazing shawl. I just bought the pattern and will be knitting it soon. I love your Batad Shawl. I showed it to my daughter and when I showed her the pattern she was shocked because it’s the place she and her husband went on their honeymoon. The Batad Shawl is a rice terrace made into a shawl. I was so impressed with the shape of the shawl that I had to have it right away without knowing that Batad is a place in the Philippines where I was born. Totally amazing!❤️
I love listening to your description and watching you knit. And this is another gorgeous shawl. Also, I just have to add that I absolute adore the cotton loops as stitch markers
Thank you for this fabulous tutorial for this shawl. I love the way you give me the confidence that I can do this and it doesn't matter if it's not perfect. 🥰
I’ve had my eye on this for awhile- but my stash is full of fingering weight- suggestions on using a smaller yarn, but keeping it exploration station size?
Sei bravissimo, peccato non capisco la tua lingua e purtroppo neanche il traduttore funziona. Mi piacciono tantissimo i tuoi lavori, ti guardo, volentieri, i tuoi video. Complimenti per la tua bravura ed originalità ❤🫶🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝
I need help!!! I have the correct number of stitches (109) after R12 in the twisted rib section, but when I start the first row of the triangle section, I don’t end up with 5 sts before the marker after completing the (p3,k9) repeat - I only have 3. I have counted and recounted, but I always end up with 3 sts. An someone enlighten me?
Based on my own experience with a simple lace pattern I am currently working on - likely you either dropped the two missing stitches or made a mistake with the pattern in the intervening rows. I hope this is helpful, or better yet, you already figured it out and finished your Pierre.
Love r the design, and sad that the whole shawl was not discussed in the video. I am retired and living on disability. My budget is tighter than Scrooge's purse strings so i was saddened when i saw the pattern was on Ravelry. Over the years i have tried to purchase patterns from this site and they always downloaded with some kind of fatal flaw, or i had to order them twice to get one pattern.
I like your pragmatic approach on either missing stitches or picking extra stitches. “Nobody going to know…” 😂 so true.
I am becoming a shawloholic and damn proud!!!!! Give Brioche a hug.
I didn't know I needed another shawl, but whenever I watch Stephen's tuorials, I need to cast them on!
Your tutorials make me happy. You give me actual confidence that I can do a technique I'm afraid to try. This shawl is so beautiful.

Thank you for the tutorial. After seeing so many beautiful Pierre shawls, I decided to cast on today. The visual is very helpful. Cheers ❤️
You're such a good instructor. I wish I could take a class (or many!) with you in person.
Why do you always make me want to start something new immediately?!?!
😉
I made this at least three years ago, in tones of green. It is a work of art for me.
Thank you, Stephen, for such a great pattern!
To pickup some of those tight stitches, I will use a crochet hook to pull the working yarn through. Love your tutorials Stephen!
Great idea!!
I really like your examples of how to start, make stitches and finishing. You make it look so easy. Thank you.
Ooo you are an awesome instructor !!! You made this so uncomplicated , I can do this !!!
