Sakaguchi actively plays FFXIV obsessively and has appeared at a number of events. CU3 probably helped ease any bad blood there was. If there was any.
Square changing the name from CBU3 to CS3 is weird.
If I remember correctly, Sakaguchi left after the failure of The Spirits Within nearly bankrupt Squaresoft and the company merged with Enix. So, I wonder if it was more of an issue of pride/honor and his failure? I mean… these days, with all the movie bombs, Sakaguchi is actually looking quite good. 😅

Having an Apple TV 4K and not using it is... weird. There's no better streaming device. I know that some LMG guys (and possibly gals) simply refuse to use it, and my question is... How do these people achieve judder-free streaming with proper switching to and from HDR? This is something I've never seen mentioned anywhere, in any video. I guess everyone just accepts the shitty version on those Google streaming devices?!
Apple TV is kind of awesome, use mine as a really power efficient Tailscale exit node. It's also just really well supported by devs. Love or hate Apple (both?), software offerings that's lack polish just don't really make it onto their platforms. Everything from VLC, to Plex, to Tailscale on the Apple TV has just frickin worked.
I have a Jellyfin server and the official app on my Chromecast was pretty horrible. Subtitles took a really long time to load, navigation was slow (also the case on PC BTW) and it had a lot of problems with MKV (constant crash, slowdowns even on low resolution, hardware encoded video, subtitles desync, etc.), that you technically could solve by switching the video player, but that would introduce other problems. I now have the Apple TV 4K and the Jellyfin app (which isn't official) just works perfectly with no problems whatsoever. Android TV is good on a lot of things (mainly streaming, being more open and pricing), but for games, local streaming and performance, Apple TV is just so much better (and it needs to be considering it's triple the price of a 4K Chromecast or a 4K Fire Stick).
Ive been using Infuse for probably 5yrs and it plays literally everything and never fails. I had never ending issues with Shield etc. AppleTV is so underrated and not talked about, probably Apples best product.
Similarly, the NVIDIA Shield still is a great media player.
After Google forced it's advertisements in the home-screen, it does require some ADB shenanigans to change this to FLauncher or similar.
But with that, it's a no-nonsense streaming box that just works and above all is detached from the TV but is fully controllable with HDMI CEC.
Which is especially great on vacations, where you can hook up the device to the TV there and just use it without concerns of logging in to an unknown device.
But it also avoids having to connect newer TVs to the internet, which might worsen their software on OTA updates in a harder to overcome way.
It's being published by Square Enix so there new multi-platform approach almost guarantees they'll be putting it on as many platforms as possible.

I still use my AppleTV HD nearly daily and it’s snappy as it was day one. For a 9 year old AppleTV that still gets software updates, I’m not complaining.

At the last Boss and considering NG+. Its old school hard... very satisfied playing it on the kids iMac with a Switch controller.
Ya apparently the PC port is going to have a normal mode as the normal mode on Apple Arcade was made in more of a hard mode lol

I got an iPad simply to play cod mobile with a controller.
The console/pc mainline games just don’t feel fun to me and I love the greatest hits approach to their maps.
I’ve been an on and off player of it for 4 years now, and I think their battle royale mode is better than war zone.
It’s also way less tryhard than war zone or cod proper. I don’t got time or patience for that.
My friends clowned me for a while till I convinced them to try it. They didn’t all stick around but some did and it’s the only online game we really all play together anymore.
Made a few friends online as well who are normal people and not hArDcOrE gAmErS and people actually talk to each other.
Most fun I’ve had with a multiplayer shooter game since reach/black ops 2

Have to start that one again. Was really good but got stuck at 1 boss and messed up the game save.
That is a nice quote luke, but mix it with some perspective brought by the Robert Frost poem "the road not taken" and you realize that you don't always know who a good person is, and it's best to treat everyone you can with respect.
Strange thing happen when you like something.... I upgraded my PC for one game. Now, granted, I use my PC for other things, but I think my old PC would have handled all of those fine, mostly because I don't normally play RPG which tend to be the demanding genre.

Played it way back when first got added. It was fun.
Don't do both an hour long boss fight and a gimmick boss fight. I'll submit as the counter point, is a boss that you fight for an hour, not a gimmick? Like the secret boss of FF12 or the adamantoise of FF15 are kinda notorious for being long drawn out fights

Same reason, bought apple tv and use the apple archive trial that come with the apple tv to play this game and now I will buy the disc version of fantasian neo dimension on ps5 to don't need to connect to internet or fear the system update will break the game in the future.
It really is a great - true to the OG series - Final Fantasy game.
If you're not using "JRPG" & "tedious" in the same sentence, the game devs aren't doing it right.
yeah no original JRPGs were actually good and fun, like final fantasy dragon quest breath of fire etc. Modern games are just fetch quest simulators busy work.

Just bc a game can be tedious doesn't mean it can't be fun too. Catching all the Pokemon is tedious, but it can be fun. Earthbound is one of my favorite games & can personally attest getting the Sword of Kings is tedious. Hell, just grinding for max stats & levels is tedious. I know I was somewhere between hyper determined & gauging my eyes out when I grinded out a perfect Mathematician on FF Tactics, & it's one of my gamer achievements I'm the most proud of.
On top of stuff like that JRPGs typically have a problem w/ menu management. You _have_ to navigate a megafuckton of menus throughout the game - heal characters, change equipment, level up, even the combat leans on menus, which rly makes the tediousness more ...well, tedious.
Thing is, I knew those factors coming into the game.
Apple Arcade is cross platform, could’ve just played on a Mac or IOS

Lol i thought the Apple tv was the best streaming device😅 i own a chromcast and a fire tv but the Apple tv has 1gig rj45 , most ram, best cpu of all streaming devices and for linus it is only a console😂😂😂

Wrong. There are a ton of games that was released on Apple only and have been very good games, and successful. The platform you release on doesn't dictate whether or not a game is good. The developers had made stuff like Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, and The Last Story, so there was major pedigree behind the game. They decided to make it Apple only because they had been focusing on smaller mobile title due to being a smaller studio, and Apple was able to fund the project.
