- Hey guys, today we are looking at Sony's yet unreleased party speaker the 2019 GTK-XB72. It has some very fun features as far as playing with the sound/light show right from your phone. This speaker will be released at the $350 mark, give or take. Hope you have fun checking out this party speaker.

Is the bass deep for the size or does it sound like a cheap plastic box? I GOT THE 250$ one in the mail today (MHC V21) and its a pos.. i have a 50$ Blackweb from walmart that has a better sound than the one i just got and even the Sony xb 132 my daughter has (which was 150), has a way better sound tgat the MHC V21, which looks like yours but has one 6 inch speaker that sounds like a 4" cardboard speaker. The XB series seems like BOSE quality and the MHC series seems like Emerson, lmao
@@Sceneyour I would have to say that the base is not great for its size. It's ok. I was a bit disappointed with that. I've heard better sound out of others for less money.
I’d love to see a comparison of this and lg rk7. I got the lg rk7 and it’s a pretty good speaker with clear treble and punchy bass. Only problem I have is with bass boost on on some songs it’s a little under whelming. Also it claims to be 550 watts and I couldn’t find the advertised wattage on this speaker.
Ive had the old one for awhile but i just bought this today and its worth every penny if you like to listen to music and dont want to worry about blowing a speaker. If you get the warranty you can get it replaced or fixed for free
It consumes 60w, as much as gtk xb7b did, so i presume that it has the same 470w like de previous one ..i guess that's why Sony didn't mention the power of the speaker

They are far difderent with eachother.. Its like co. Paring a microwave into a toaster.. But to answer u.. Sound quality always jbl.. This has stronger sound with good quality. Worth the price.

I wish Sony would add a feature to import you own sounds. Fiestable is pretty lame.
With the speaker volume on full and the speaker being controlled by your phone...how loud can you go without blowing the speaker?

In my opinion it is very quiet for 470w. I have bought one and on monday im going to replace it with mw42d. 55 euros difference for much better sound and louder. Also extrabass on gtk xb72 is not working at all, tested home shop... Same thing.

This one. I just bought the xb60, tried it out, returned it. Bought the xb72, and it sounds way better.
How many watts is the speaker? And would this be good for a DJ..
I think it would be good for a party but I do think you would probably need two. I'm not sure of the specific connections a DJ would need so it's hard for me to answer that

Got this speaker as a gift, how do I keep the lights off? Even when I power off the speaker the lights stay on
Hold down the party chain button for 3 seconds or until it turns off. I thought mine was possessed in the middle of the night 😂

I had mine for a week and then all of a sudden it stopped making sound. The lights work but there is no sound

This model does not have battery. The XB90 has built in battery, but cost more. They look the same.

It's the sony app, I haven't had a chance to use the XB5.

I just bought one of these. Can’t believe the great sound & bass out of this thing. I don’t care for the Fiestable app at all. The Sony Music Center app is good. It has lighting controls in it that I like better. The preset EQs are pretty good but I turned on the Sony recommended for clearer sound thing & wow! The lights are fun & have a lot of patterns that don’t get boring quick either. I have quality DJ lights & the speakers lights are pretty good, in my opinion.

I think the JBL is more streamlined and more connection options but they are drastically different in sound. It's not fair to compare because the boombox is portable with a rechargeable battery, the sony has to be plugged in. The sound is better, louder with better bass and mids then the boombox...but they are different types of speakers. thanks for watching

Yes it has a mic (xlr) input!
It has a wonderful mic phono input, not XLR input.
Is is better than the MHC-V81D pt the XB90?????
In my opinion it's the little brother to the mhc-v81d. The v81d has more options; amplifier, DVD player, control panel, guitar and mic inputs and overall more speakers: 2 extra tweeters and mid cones. It's a louder speaker but it's not convenient to move around.
I prefer the portability of the xb72 and the sound is very good too...its a basic party speaker that sounds great.

jbl ight but nothing has hit me like these gtk speakers, its a decent price for something that can shake the whole house with bass and without.
This! I’m testing both out at my house and 72 is better, 72 is also better than the 90 with clearer vocals and just as much bass

there on the right and left front of the loudspeaker there is a double Led Circle bar because you can see more clearly how it shines or is it just a reflection?

@@jcobx937 it's the light shining off of the speaker cone, each speaker cone has its own flashing light...looks amazing in the dark

Yes, use audio (red & white) cable ($10). Connect both speakers with cable ([out] of host speaker [in] 2nd speaker. Hit party chain button on back of each speaker. Works awesome!

It doesn’t have HDMI, how can I connect it with TV apart from AV cable?
it's not set up for television speaker...I have not connected to a TV. I have connected to tablets and laptops via Bluetooth.

Its a peice of junk. The jbl 100 will probably beat it even though its smaller, and the jbl 300 would throw that think our of the water even though its the same size
