The course is a huge factor when it comes to the time taken, some courses we would play in groups of 3 in 3:50 - 4 hours no problems, then others it would be closer to 5 - 5:30 hours.
Sadly though there are obviously those players, like Bryson, who are apically slow no matter where they play :(

Anyway, we weren’t running or in a major rush or anything, but you just don’t need very long by yourself. On the back-nine we are coming onto a green and a marshall comes up to us and says the course is closed due to the tournament. We looked at one another and started laughing. Not sure how much he’d been drinking lol but it was very bizarre. We went round in well under 3 hours. Can’t remember what I shot but it’s in the score archives. ;)

If you play golf in Japan, you are forced to take a mandatory lunch break after 9 holes, and because they send you off both tees for 26 tee times, you often have a 90min break between nines. Wesley finished a round on the PGA tour while my foursome had a tempura soba lunch at Narashino Country Club last Saturday. What an inspiration - I wish all the 30+ handicappers out there that are plumb-blobbing from 2 feet would watch this! I just love his personality - it's even more magnified when seeing the interaction with his brother George.

I think rewarding players who complete their rounds under a certain time threshold could be a good thing to consider than penalizing slow players cuz i would love to give this dude additional 2 or 3 birdies on top of the two he made in this round.

Congrats Wesley Bryan!!You’re ranked as the number one golfer favored by Korean golf course owners! However, you still have to pay the cart fees and caddie fees separately though you play a round under 90mins :)

He was the first one out and they had odd number of players, normally a pacer might play with him but he decided he wanted to see how fast he could play a round.
