2. Actually do stuff - write code, create builds, deploy software etc.

If you watch the video, I've clearly stated that AI will NOT take away your job if you're updating yourself and are proactively adapting to the changes. In fact, this is a great time to learn new stuff and move ahead in the career. Only people who could be in danger are the ones who're still doing age old, manual things and refusing to upskill.

"AI Engineer" is not a common opening, unless you're in California and working for the likes of OpenAI etc.
I'd suggest - focus on your core strengths and then, add the AI elements in that as applicable.
