Kraus makes a really nice pull back plate, the t-Rex, combine that with pull back risers and a taller bar and it’ll bring things closer and maintain the look.
OMG I missed this so much. Thanks a lot Danny, Colin and crew at GHD, my day started with a 20 minutes belly laugh 🤣🤣🤣 But best detail of all was ... Danny wants to do long haul bike riding!!! YAY 🎉🎇 means we get new vlogs !!! Life is good ❤
WTG Danny, gotta make your bike your own. Last April i bought a new Sport Glide, and immediately set about customizing it to my liking. The 2 major changes were a Saddlemen seat with built in driver's backrest, and a set of 5" pullback risers, that moved the handlebars back just enough to make it WAY more comfortable, but not so far back that I needed to change the standard brake/clutch cables . Turned the bike into a different beast. Keep up the good work!
Nice work, Danny. You'll be amazed how much more comfortable the handlebars are now. They are the equivalent to 16" bars on an old bike. You will have more control over your steering now, and it's like having power steering through leverage. Stay upright, mate. Live to Ride. 👍
Always good videos. Keep up the hard work. Don’t worry about what negative people say. They are a small percentage of your viewers. We are from two different worlds but both like motorcycles and I enjoy watching!!
Look into pull back plates it brings the riser back 2 inch so u dont have run those mini apes. Then get a high bend bar from thrashin and that should be enough
Yea im 5’7 and im running thrashin rg pullback plate it (works for softail) adds 2in 3/8 height and puts bars back towards u 1in 5/8, thrashin 1in extension, thrashin 6 1/2 pull back risers, 3.5 in bars so total height is 13 3/8 in and i have a nice bend to my arms super comfortable.
Common problem with the ST. I solved my problem by changing my seat to the saddlemen seat that raised my butt up about 1.5 inches up and moved me forward about one inch. I also added a 6" riser bar with a 2" pull back. I'm 5' 10"". I am staying with the standard ST bar. The SDC Pro seat does move you back and is the wrong seat for you. I plan to get the Saddleman Touring seat that is heated and has more padding and a slide in seat support for longer trips. I needed the higher seat rise for my feet and legs to be in a more comfortable position.
To me it's your bike in the end and you have to make your bike custom for you for your best handling and these handlebars are perfect for you for the long hall, I have the same type on my bike and found them the best for distance riding Danny, CHEERS Brother!!!
If you asked me, i would take normal height risers with a higher handlebar. And choose a 1,25” thick😊. I have the Saddlemen SDC Pro (the non knot) on my RKS and this seat is fabulous! No asspain at all! Even i did the handlebar job myself and put a 14” gangsterape on it, and a new clutchcable in one piece (then you gig rid of the yellow piece). But, you have to dismantle the complete exhaust system to reach the side cover (R). When i was there put a “Muller clutch or “Advanblack” in it to make the pull 40% lighter)….
Hi Danny, love your clips i always look forward to seeing what your next adventure is, I have a Low Rider ST as well & I’m about to have 9 1/2 inch pull back risers put on mine, did you think about changing to maybe 8 1/2 or 9 1/2 pull back risers, one of the workers did say that to you, but you are happy with the bars you have chosen, I really look forward to seeing how the bike feels and looks.Ride safe brother 🤙🏽😎
Kraus kickback riser with the Trex plate and stock low rider st bars rolled back brought the bars 6 inches closer to the rider on a low rider st we built for my dad who is 5’3” tall
you need a 1.5 pull back plate and 1.5" pull back risers to make you comfy. and reach total rise 10-12 inch. i have this setup and make me real good. LA Chopppers has 2" pull back plate, just put that it will solve the issue with exisitng bars
Danny we miss you on the tube Surely you must be out of milk and need ride somewhere. How about a surprise visit to Parry just to see how he runs his business. Colin and the boys are iconic and though tough on you works so well. Why doesn’t Stan pick up you guys as local talent. Hope to see you on air soon 🍻
I always thought it was a good idea to buy a bike that fits you. You proved me wrong. Looks like the Harley guys can make anything work. I really likes that Road King you were riding before and even looked for one. Too much money. I'll have to keep riding the the old bikes that are teady for the trash bin.
gotta love Colin.
“thats if you get lonely on the road”….priceless
Col is the best.
-i've got f*king everything Colin😂 pure gold!
I came here to say exactly that. 😂🤣

Hey Dan, 4 years ago today you left Geelong for Perth on the Monkey Glide. So glad to have been there at the start. Good on ya mate.
You can also get the saddlemen san diego customs sissy bar back rest so the pattern on the seat matches the backrest

Now it's a Rolls Royce reclining lounge chair on wheels by HD...
Contradictory humor. All in good spirit. You'll like the feel of this ride now. I just know it. I'm telling you so you don't have to wonder.
Hey Danny, love those Veronica inspired shoes.

I so think that is what I need for my fxlrs 2020 ridding with straight arms starts to hurt after an hour makes it no fun
I agree in 100%.

Colin is the absolute best he brings so much to these vlogs I honestly wouldn't enjoy watching ad much if Colin wasn't envolved.
Just love the mechanic 😂
Thankyou Danny bike looking sweet 😎😎
"I've got another pair like this at home." I wish my humour was that sharp, brilliant.

When you Order a seat from Saddlemen you can have them move the Butt Well forward if you have short arms ect.
Your new low key style is not expected to last 😂. Glad to see you back though.
This garage shows are so good and wholesome haha keep it real lads!
The next adventure must be tugging away on your throttle cables Danny.. a good couple a 1000k test ride must surely be coming up😉👍
Always a joy to watch engineers wrenching

That is amazing… I did not know that Gucci made motorcycle riding shoes… that is so cool. LOL
Lepera kickflip upfront seat will push you up closer to the bars but still has the awesome look. Not sure if that was mentioned or not
And it’s a lot more comfortable than all other seats.
Kraus kickback riser with the Trex plate and stock low rider st bars rolled back brought the bars 6 inches closer to the rider on a low rider st we built for my dad who is 5’3” tall
Great video Dan, you even have the wife laughing 😊
Good morning here in Scotland
The Lepera tailwhip upfront seat will push you forward a couple of inches
