Love your Q&As! I have a question about the deep lunge stretch. I don't have a platform for my newly purchased reformer. Is there a way to get the same level of stretch without torquing my body? I sit a lot and this stretch would be amazing.

It can be easily done on the floor, just stay forward either way your hips and put the weight i to your standing foot

In need of the best way to target my lower abdominal muscles, stomach for back health. I'm sure that some of my back pain is because of my stomach weight.

Hi Marjolein, you look terrific, still amazing arms. We're the same age, I've kept myself fit with diet & exercise, bought yr machine back in 2013. Pure gold. I have worsening osteoporosis in wrists & neck so I have a routine that suits, no overhead arm pulls, just lower side pulls. Lots of resistance bouncing & overhead leg ex for hips. I've been told my machine doesn't build bone density, any suggestions would be welcome. x

Whomever told you that is inaccurate. We have seen great results for building bone.

Oh my goodness, the inner thighs!! Oh my goodness...I have to figure out a better way to do this correctly. I'm adding some strengthening training to my workout regimine. I am partial to my Pilates work, but I do realize I may need to do other things some days. Is the bar mechanism on your door a specific type of pilates arm strengthening device?

I am an avid fan of Marjolein Brugman's Pilates video, which I have been doing for many years. I have several of her earlier years Pilates videos. However , I was given a gift of a Merrithew Stott Reformer Pilates machine but still follow Marjolein. I prefer her sole earlier video.
Q: If I join Lighter Living, will I be able to use Marjolein's videos for my Merrithew Scott Reformer? Thank you.

Hi Elizabeth, there may be some minor adjustments to do and you’ll have to figure out the combination of springs to use. You can try the library for free on the lighterlivinglibrary.com website and then decide. (RUclips doesn’t offere the option of a free trial).

Hello! Can pregnant women practice it?

Aero Pilates is amazing for pregnant women
Actually I had my last baby at 47 and I used my reformer throughout the entire time.
I found that I recovered more quickly and that I suffered from less issues with my back throughout the pregnancy
The only thing you have to be careful of is that after five months or so it’s uncomfortable to lie on your back so you need to avoid the lying down exercises but you can still get amazing strength in your arms and legs and great stretching in all the right areas with focus on the pelvic floor and the re-organization of your weight throughout the pregnancy
