I needed this video so much, brother! Like you don't even know the struggle I got with my mind.. I always think I make trash beats, because I always compare myself to other producers, and it sucks.. This video inspired me to be more of myself than copying other producer's beats. It's true that rappers can't rap on over-complicated beats, and that's why I keep doing simple beats, so that they have enough space to rap/sing on. Thank you so much for clarifying that in my mind, I really needed it, because I thought I will never be able to make good beats as top producers do. The truth is nobody ain't gonna use your beat if you add 20 kicks, 10 snares etc. Stay simple and stay consistent, that's the key to success as a beatmaker! The biggest hits have such simple drum patterns and we still try to complicate them just to demonstrate that we are better than other producers. But when, in fact, our main audience should be the artists.

Again man thank you for this one. I've been mad guilty of doing the same thing with my beats, trying to include as much as possible just to make them more "impressive". After working with actual rappers I finally understood that the simplest catchy melody and hard drum bounce goes allot further. I've also been guilty of stopping posting beats online, thinking that the more simple beats would make me look amateurish. Big mistake. I need to get back on brand and on socials and your channel has been a real wake up call for the last few days, after discovering your great content. Making the beat rappable is important but a lot of producers then run into the problem of using one chord or no chords at all and just a bunch of generic mess going on. Producers need to do this but also focus on being unqiue at the same time.

Finish the beat in your tutorial too you know like jay cactus or make a new RUclips channel and upload the finished version of the beat that you made in tutorial video or leave link to that beat that uploaded in beatstars.
for example me personally have a problem with structure and arrangement .I watched arrangement tutorial too including yours but still sometimes I don't know what to do and it's really help but again it's just suggestion if you're not ok with it that's ok and I still enjoy and love watching ur tutorial 😘😘😘

hey bro, been watching you regularly for like 5 months, i really like your work and your videos. i have a problem, i make beats using my headsets and, in fl studio, when i’m making beats it sounds cool, the volume cool not too loud not too low, but when i take them off and listen through other sources like my phone, when i export them, or the pc itself, it sounds horrible, like the kick too loud too punchy, can barely hear the 808, it just sounds weird, i really wanted to know what possible i could be doing wrong, if you can help i’d appreciate
invest in some high quality headphones, that’s where the cause most likely is
Mix low and get better headphones.
If i understand the things you said correctly, It's probably because of your hardware. Not only the headphones that sound horrible, but it also might be your drivers that ruin the mix during rendering. Most likely it's your audio-interface that's in your motherboard. It might damage the sound, cause the audio-interface is old or the CPU is weak. I'd buy a better CPU and an external audio-interface. The interface helps to take the load off from CPU, so the CPU could perform better. It also provides you with more "true" sound while mixing. Hope it helps. Unfortunately, there's no free solution. Been there myself, only this managed to help
