my thoughts exactly :D she spent her complete time in front of a camera defending some made up "standard" (which, when it comes to taste - can only be subjective) just because she knew the quality and creativity of her own creation won't match others... people that cannot cope with losing, should not participate :D

Tom got so robbed. He gave Mui's such a good score even though it was classic. Whereas Mui could not appreciate the creativity Tom put into his cheese on toast. His was most definitely 1000% a cheese on toast that beats Mui's over flavor.
Not trying to hate but Mui's is basically the vanilla of the cheese on toast world. Everyone loves it, its classic but it's the same old flavor/combo everyone knows. Just saying, Tom shoulda been second place. 😆
Really i honestly felt like it was not very creative would rather just make real pizza rather than Tom’s which i found i big waste of money

Chloe was so sweet! She said she was excited and enjoyed everyone’s, and she always would talk about her child hood memories with the cheesy toast.

Did we watch the same video?? She was complimenting stuff all around and even popped a chef’s kiss. She likes classic cheese on toast, so it’s not surprising that a cheese on toast that was just a pizza would make her question it and give it lower points. A 5 is not bad, and she gave the other an 8, so like?? Also, instead of everyone jumping on Mui, maybe jump on the fact that the “winner” was only based on two scores when they could have had more people to better determine the winner here...

Also if we wanted to criticise Tom’s because it had chorizo and not just cheese, then no one actually made a proper cheese on toast… I’m sorry to say this but she should have given it a higher score since she said that she did like it a lot but lowered the score because she said that it wasn’t a cheese on toast! That doesn’t make her a bad person and I personally have no problem with her but that s really why everyone’s a bit annoyed at her (they shouldn’t but that’s RUclips for you 😂)

Some nice ideas, but odd how little focus there was on the cheese! Was that all just a bog-standard supermarket cheddar? I like a couple of different cheeses in my cheese on toast - one for flavour and the other a good melting variety.
Same!!! I go for the strongest cheddar available and then some Red Leicester on top. It melts really well and it gives it a splash of colour 😋😋
same i usually have red leicester and cheddar, sometimes even mozzarella
I get a mixture bag, usually cheddar and red Leicester. The red Leicester has a really nice level of flavour, packs a punch without being overpowering

I loved toms it's was classic. Chloe's was fancy and imaginative but I'm not taking that much time on a snack ...mui looked blah and boring why even compete?

No no no. Grill one side of the bread, then flip it and spread a very thin layer of butter, a generous layer of smooth Branson pickle and slices of smoked cheddar on the untoasted side, then grill that side until the cheese is bubbly on top and has gone a bit chewy at the edges.

this method without using the toaster is the way I've always made cheese on toast but I may have to try the pickle and smoked cheddar combo, sounds tasty

Toast in the toaster , add butter , sliced mature cheese, sliced tomatoes , black pepper and wack under the grill , that’s how you do cheese on toast no other way

I have always done my cheese on toast the way tom makes it and I absolutely adore it.
Bread grilled on one side, flipped. Spread some spread cheese on it, then loads of thin slices of cheddar and back under the grill and do it for just a tad too long and it is SO good. Even better when lathered in brown sauce!
I love pesto on mine! So toast, then a layer of basil pesto and then the melted cheese! 🤤

While I do like a traditional cheese on toast, my mother taught me one that I love:
You toast the bread till it's lightly toasted, and then you mix grated cheese with some chopped ham, black pepper and an egg till combined. Then you grill it until the cheese is melted and the egg is cooked. Delicious.

@@leubell8341 Yes, sliced packet sandwich ham, chopped small. You don't have to add the pepper, just a little bit of seasoning. Can be left out.

Try this!
Mild/medium heat chopped green chillies, dice onions and add your choice of cheese (mozzarella and mature cheddar - grated), sweet corn, salt and pepper of your choice and put it in the grilled oven until cheese is melted😍😋
I toast one side then add extra mature cheese on the other side then grill it, on brown bread/ granary, nice with Red Leicester too and red onion or tomatoes, tomato ketchup is nice on the side too

Wouldn't necessarily classify these as 'cheese on toast' - it's at least not what comes to mind when I hear that (literally just toasted bread with slices of cheddar - maybe some black pepper and sriracha/tabasco). As soon as the cheese is melted or loads of other things are added, it turns into something else. The first one was pizza, and the others were basically a version of welsh rarebit and croque monsieur. Probably would have picked the pizza version though out of these.

right heres mine that literally nobody asked for:
bread (any bread ig, i use white warburtons toastie)
toast bread kinda lightly but so it’s a bit brown
dice a brown onion. butter the toast and add the onion on top.
slice some cheddar off of a normal block of cheddar and shove it on top
grill
slice (diagonally because we all know that’s supreme)
eat plain or with ketchup
okay but these are all the fancy ways of making a cheese on toast,they best way is to just get a piece of toast and some cheese and muah,the best!

Multi-grain bread, melted cheddar, sliced tomato topped with a bit of salt n pepper n fresh basil or alternatively some good ham. Or baloney/poloni ( I don't know the cheap round meat of unwanted pork?) Layered with cheese (slice of cheese on top n bottom and a little sauce on bottom n top of layering) tomato sauce and chilli sauce, melted to sauce perfection lol.
I love toasting bread then adding dried parsley and garlic then cheese sometimes a dash of tobasco then grill it 😘👌
My favourite cheese on toast is toasted sourdough or rye bread (rye with caraway is amazing), buttered and topped with slices of old cheddar. 🤤
For me it has to be two slices of bread with a generous amount of Red Leicester whack it on the grill maybe a bit of butter if I’m feeling lucky then add Hendo’s to one and tomato ketchup to the other yum
I toast one side... Turn over add thick cheese slices.. Add sliced tomatoes.. Cover in salt and pepper and grill... Perfect

Toasted crusty bread + French mustard (the brown stuff any French person would throw out in despair) + ham + mature cheddar. Amazing.

Must admit LOVE cheese on toast so simple. But every now and then do add a small amount of marmite to the toast then add thinly sliced onions then top with cheese and grill

I go wholemeal bread (ends preferable) toast one side under the grill, flip, toast other side very lightly. Remove. Add tomato purée, mature (or even extra mature) cheddar, top with bits of cut up sandwich ham (because I’m not fancy enough to have chorizo at all times but I do have ham). Grill until bubbly and golden brown.
Perfection.
The first one is exactly the way I make it I just add chili flakes as well, and if I’m too lazy I’ll skip the chorizo

@@brook1718 the “bread” you’re referring to isn’t just any kind of bread, it’s made from a dough that’s specially made for pizza. Hence why when you buy it at grocery stores it’s not just called “bread dough” but “pizza dough.” It’s as different as a bagel and a donut. They’re fundamentally different from each other. And he used a regular tomato sauce, not a pizza sauce which has an entirely different consistency and flavor profile, they’re as different as ketchup and spaghetti sauce. And he didn’t use pepperoni either. If I put ketchup on macaroni is it spaghetti? Not at all. Food is like chemistry and if you alter a formula you end up with an entirely different result.

I make mine in my airfryer with white bread and comté cheese
Chloe and Tom kind of had the same kind of toppings on the cheese toast but Chloe had her ham and onions under the cheese and Tom had his tomato sauce under the cheese and pepperoni on top. Mui is an ass**le. I know Tom wanted to kick her in the stomach😂😂😭 then it took me out when Chloe was complementing Toms creations and then expressing that she doesn’t understand why Tom got last 😭😭😭😭😭😂😂😂

I like to toast the bread then put some Levi roots reggae reggae sauce on the top, spread it over but not to much, just enough to re-moist the toast then some chopped red onion covered in cheese. Banging

Molletes from Mexico are literally the best cheese on toast in the world... and also the best beans on toast in the world. You have to try it.

I’m not a Brit, but I eat cheese on toast. I just call it cheese toast. I put a piece of bread with cheese on it in the toaster oven. I like a little smoked sausage on it sometimes.

OK but y'all here's a great recipe for cheese on toast:
Toast sourdough bread lightly
Spread a thin layer of mayo on it (yes, mayo)
Cut up grilled chicken into tiny cubes and put it on top
Cover it with mozzarella (or any white cheese)
Stick it in the oven till the cheese I melted
IT IS DELICIOUS TRUST ME ISTG ITS SO GOOD.
The world is a much place with this in it.
