Hey Daniel! Loved the video! It was cool to hear the story of the old school you used to go. And oh man you just reminded me of my best friend here in the US John, he bought a 97 NA miata and we had so much fun working in it. Unfortunately he never finished it. I was an automatic and he left it with the transmission off. We never got the new manual one on but when i saw you driving it i remembered how uncomfortable the windshield was, the top bar was literally where my eyes went but what a good experience. I never had the chance to drive a convertible before and I'm glad it was one of the most iconic ones and not a Chrysler Sebring hahahaha
The metal trim are all aftermarket stuff, I'm not sure about the speaker surround for the door panel though, see that on a lot of MX5s. The seats are stock and there's a headlight toggle switch right below the hazards.
Wow very cool really enjoyed, that young girl is a breath of fresh air Dan, we need more people like this, shes alot of fun, nice vid mate cheers KC Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺🇦🇺🤝🇦🇺🇦🇺🤝🇯🇵🇯🇵👍😎🙂
I liked hearing a little about where you worked and in what area, for someone who has still not traveled to Japan I enjoy learning about places and having a conversation with someone wanting to learn English :)
I had 2 of these NA6 MX5's/Roasters one soft top, one with hard top. I never took the hardtop off. Great little cars. I also had a ND1 Club which was great and felt like a NA with a good upgraded suspension stock. However, mine just wasn't very reliable. I had more reliability from a 25+ car than I did a brand new one. This one has a lot of aftermarket on it, but the seats are OEM. The door speaker covers are aftermarket, as are all the other over lays. and chrome trim. The cup holder is styled very much like the OEM just an improved design. Under the hood the car also looks like it has a aftermarket exhaust manifold on it. Exterior wise the headlights and front turn signals are also aftermarket. BTW. I love the awkwardness that takes place inside the car. I feel I would have acted the same, and I'm single. lol
I read your comment the other day but no time to respond. BUT, it really got me wondering about what the heck has been happening over there since I left. Lol
Its the Australian Jason Statham again! I drove an MX5 once, cracking little car. Dan, are there actually any older Fiat's in Japan? Say older than 15 years??
Consider her followed.... Man that was not supposed to sound so creepy. Lol Some nice scenery there Daniel. And some nice cars too. And Yua was kawaii....
Nice video to see a bit of a different car and country side in Japan! Fun to see where you used to work. Really beautiful scenery, but I guess when you worked there you wouldn't notice as it's your fault commute. I was only wondering... Middle aged man wearing a cap with Death written in it walks into a car dealership, asks a young girl to join him for a test drive in rural country side. Begins the drive with mumbling "let's kill..." and then searches for a deserted road to do a video shoot. Yua really must have had a lot of faith in your good intentions! 😲
I like those cars , I think it's kind of neat with the headlights permanently up ! , It's also very interesting to hear some of your past like when you mentioned teaching , When you 1st arrived might be interesting to do a back in time video , Anyway take care Daniel
I had some of those exact wheels, in a five bolt, on a Ford Probe 24V that I junked about 5 years ago, sold the wheels on for as much as I paid for the car!
Glad to see girls being in to the car's, they are rare this day's at the younger generation. I loving the addition speaker trim 👍. So Daniel how was the driving experience? Remember when Sammit first introduced Hannah in his channel and the comments exploded 😂. Well you introduced Yua👏. Uh and by the way, Chrysler input was a nice touch 👍.
Wasabi Goats Tour? Thank you very much, Daniel, for sharing your video with us. PS: You can go there again because I have subbed to her Instagram channel.
We need more of Yua. She's a cutie! Sorry Dan. lol
Lol. I'm not offended. ;-)
I have one of these. A 1991 V Special in green with tan interior. Completely stock and I love every minute driving it
Oh! I love that colour combo. Nice

Hahahaha. Thank you. And, thanks for the story. Unfortunate you'll buddy didn't finish the transmission swap
I miss my NA MX5, sitting in storage Australia. I haven't been about to go home for 2 years now because of covid ;(
I hear you. I haven't been to see family in Australia since 2018

Love your shifting action
"shifting action"? Lol. What's that?
@@wasabicars your manual driving technique
Very cool video! She's cute, and so is the roadster! They were sold here as the Mazda Miata.
MX-5 in Oz. The whole name-change thing... Makes it hard
Yua is gorgeous!
Is that you in your avatar? You look pretty sharp yourself ;-)
Dan, you truly are the man :-)
Well, there are other "the mans" ;-) Haha! Thanks, Denzil

Here we see a wild Dan, the deranged Australian in Japan lol. Love the range of facial emotions while you relearned how to drive manual.
Hahahaha! Perhaps those who recently had Botox injections could try it to loosen up their faces ;-)

Thank you. I'm hoping to do more videos like this one. :)
"He probably thought we'd broken down."
Yeah.... that's probably what he thinks. Sure Daniel.
This video makes me miss Japan more than usual.
Lol. I really am sure that was the case. It didn't dawn on my until days later.

Dan´s face instantly when driving:
"I`M A FUEL-INJECTED SUICIDE MACHINE, CRUISING AT THE SPEED OF FRIGHT!!!"

Hahahahaha! Thanks for all that first-hand experience and info. Lol. It was a little awkward. I haven't quite got my interview technique down ;-)
If the cops in Australia found you on the side of the road with a lady, not sure they would believe you were teaching English 😂😂

This is awesome
Thank you, Wan :)

Hey, Oleg. Definitely are older Fiats here. I saw a 124 Spider 2000 once ruclips.net/video/mVgsRaRcGPw/видео.html

Hahahaha!
You better watch out Dan... My dad let me drive his Mk1 1.6 I had so much fun I had to have one and bought my mk2.5 1.8vvt about two months after
Hahaha. Fair enough. I'd have one of the later ones for sure. The NC (2005 to 2015)

Closer to the mountain range really is spectacular. Such a dramatic view. Hahahahaha! I almost never kill anyone ;-)

avoided stalling! nice work :D
Or, I edited it out... Actually, I didn't stall ;-)

I did shoot vid of the wheels but edited it out. They were Inter Milano. I remember because of the soccer team ;-)
At least you said the name in the vid, so I knew they were same ones. Somewhat collectible to the right person, vintage JDM from the 90's/00's!
Nice Mazda and nice Yua.
Thanks, Michael
You need to take that Miata out on those legendary mountain roads in Japan! You’ll fall in love
I wonder if the garage owner will allow it. Lol
Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuu Yuaaaaaaaaaaaaaa 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

Hey, Ljubo. It was only a quick drive. Literally around the block. Felt good though. I probably didn't get above 50km/h though. :)
