I normally have to eq the KZ ZAX 1Khz, 750hz, 500hz, 250hz to get the best result, its dynamic range and details retrieval is in a class of their own. To those that don't like EQ, they could get TempoTec Sonata BHD Type C to 2.5mm to pair it. The warm and vocal focus negate KZ ZAX weakness making it the best combo IEM I currently have and I have about over 10 DAC and 20 IEM. Just order the TRN VX Pro, 8BA+1DD CNT which is used in TinHiFi T4 which I also owned.
@@utubuddy I don't use auto eq, there must be a reason to use eq in the first place, to fix a flaw. If the earbuds sound great without eq that's a win.

I’ll have to try them in noisier environments to see if I notice. I found the sound isolation pretty good but haven’t been on public transport or anything similar recently.
Ironically I was looking into these *because* they had less sound Isolation so I see that as a win, my plan is to pair them up with Fiio Utws3 to make a super nice set of True wireless buds that I can use on the go and still hear some of what's going on around me. I can't say I've seen any decent true wireless adapters that have audio passthrough so it seems like the next best option

You kept saying “for the price”. That implies that they’re really not that good. The only reason they’re good is because you’re rating them based on how cheap they are. Let’s say money wasn’t an issue. What’s the best IEM set in your opinion. I’m new to this. I only have one pair and they are the Kz ZS10pro and I love them. I can hear every instrument loud and clear. You mean to tell me there are better sounding IEMs? I want them! So which would you say is the best?
Hey Juan - good question! What does sound better? Well, I do address at about 3:31 that I wanted to avoid saying for the price but ultimately they are good, for the price. I have used IEM's like the JH Audio Roxannes which are about $1900 and my own Custom IEM's cost about $1200. I've also spent a lot of time with the Sennheiser IE800, Shure SE846 and 535 and the Westone W60 and UM Pro 50 and more. So, when you're used to such high end units it's perfectly fair to suggest that the KZ Zax at less than $70 are great, for the price. I was impressed and, if the ZS10 are rocking it for you, that's awesome man! It's all about finding your happy place with your music which it sounds like you have. If you have the chance to try some UE Universals, 64 Audio, Nobles or JH Audio you might find they bring an elevated sound also, for the price. Thanks for the comment man - enjoy the music. Mark
I have these but I can't find a cable length over 1.2m. I would like something around 2-2.5 since the 3.5mm extender bought destroys quality. Do you know of any quality cables or extensions? not interested in doing Bluetooth unless it's my only option.
Yeah. Harder to find in a 2-Pin. Much easier in an MMCX cable. You could get a custom cable from hartaudiocables.com/collections/iem-cables or null-audio.com if that’s an option.
I have the Shure SM535 earphones and looking to get something better, not that 535 is bad but I would like to upgrade, what earphones would you suggest? I use it for live performances.
Ok. Cool. If you like the Shure sound signature (I do) then going up to the SE846 is the only logical next step. I personally really like the Westone UM Pro 50 for vocals and guitar. You could also look at the Sennheiser IE300 (similar price to your 535) or IE900 which is a bigger step up. Finally, if you want to have a play with something cheaper, try the KZ Zak for a budget range experiment. My thoughts. Hope it helps.
Just want to know your opinion, currently using zs10 pro and usually listen to alternative and rock genre. I like it for the bass to be lively and punchy but not muffled. With these in mind, wc is better tje zs10 pro or zax?
Just got mine. How do they wear for longer time with glasses? Many over the back of ear pieces I have tried ended up causing pain on the back of my ear through contact with my glasses arms.
Yes, I understand what you mean. There are some over the ear cables that have a memory element to them which makes them a little bit stiffer. You could look to get a new replacement cable that isn’t as rigid. I will also often relax the cable behind my neck if I am using a tensioner. If the cable does not have a tensioner you may find adding one also helps by reducing the movement of the cable over the end of your glasses. How did you find these over time now that you’ve had them for awhile?
Detail retrieval, micro details, cymbals, anything that is hidden under the high spectrum can be heard. Its so unbelievable that I think should be illegal to have this kind of treble

I have these and the bass is accurate and tight. They're not as strong as the bass heavy iems coming out now but they're still plenty strong. A good dac+amp is important for the bass, my fiio btr5 made a night and day difference in bass coming from my pc audio.
