Be sure to mark your calendars for April 2nd, 2025 and join me for the first Switch 2 Direct Live! Wow, it’s really happening. Thanks for the support.
The reason we give credit to Nate is because he is the first to officially break news on lot of these leaks, taking responsibility upon himself if he gets it wrong. Of course lot more people know about these leaks. That is why people corroborate him instead to breaking the news themselves. Because they don't want to take the heat if plans change and the leaks don't come to fruition.
12:07 Just wanted to chime in on the clocks and where they came from. They are from 20.0.0 firmware and datamined from hacked Switch units. The CPU received a bump in this firmware from a prior one on handheld, it use to be 998.4MHz in both modes, and what is likely going on here is that whatever they were testing required a CPU bump, but they were in handheld mode, so the docked mode lagged behind. I expect Switch 2's CPU to have the same clocks at launch in both modes, and they won't reduce the handheld mode, so you'll get 1.1GHz. The CPU at worst is A78C, which is 3 times faster per clock than A57's CPU core, which is slightly faster than the Jaguar cores found in PS4/PS4 Pro, in fact with these clocks the CPU is around 50% better than PS4 Pro's and about 40-45% of PS5's CPU, as A78 is vastly more performant per clock vs Ryzen 2. Bandwidth, Ampere requires about 25GB/s per TFLOPs (this is what all Ampere desktop GPUs get on average) in handheld NS2 has 68GB/s meaning it needs ~45GB/s for the GPU and the rest can be used by the CPU. In docked it's 102GB/s, meaning the 3.1TFLOPs gets about ~80GB/s, leaving the rest for the CPU. Bandwidth should be perfect for the architecture used here. GPU? It's faster than Steam Deck in handheld + DLSS, it's going to be pretty close to PS4 Pro with 3.1TFLOPs Ampere + DLSS vs 4.2TFLOPs GCN4 + checkboard upscaling. It should have some advantages over XBSS, but will lose in raw performance to that platform, while having Ray Tracing performance when docked on par with the PS5 thanks to Ampere being at least 3x more performant than RDNA1 which PS5 uses. DLSS 4 should also be possible here.
Iirc dmips/core/clock for A78 is about 2x A57. And specint 2006 has A78 in the IPC ballpark of 168 per core per clock to Ryzen 2 at 144. RDNA1 doesn't have any ray tracing acceleration. Ps5 is Rdna1 with the RT component from RDNA2. In ray tracing limited scenarios Ampere is about 2x as performance per shader Tflop on PC, but that's when RDNA2 has infinity cache, which ps5 and xbox series are missing. Considering how as you say, the CPU is likely/must get upclocked in docked mode as the firmware matures, I'm having a tough time believing the GPU will stick to only 1GHz considering how cool it should run and how low the power draw is (even at 8nm), how big the cooling component is and how much heat exchange area there is thanks to the 'u' stand. And considering how the earlier leaks and sleuthing (pretty much all proven correct) indicated more like 4tflops. After all, 1080p to 4K is a much bigger jump than 560Mhz to 1Ghz. If 560 runs that efficient then +1Ghz should be easy.
I don't understand most of what you said, but I have read it and I'm more excited now! The question i hope to get an answer to is: do you think we'll start getting 60 FPS performance in docked mode?
@@Albassam90 Depends on the game and what the dev wants to do with it, the Switch 1 has 60fps games and PS5 has some 30fps games. ;) Its more likely for more games though. I mean you can easily use up all the power for graphics or u use some of it for better performance. More likeley for Nintendo games or PS4 ports than for PS5 ports though, which should be obvious. Its a big jump over Switch 1.
@@currywurst2434 Wow I never thought of it like that, you're right; even current gen consoles have 30 fps games and it's all up to the devs. Who am I kidding? I'm excited anyways for the switch 2 haha
Regarding the sd card express, I hope they sell 1 or 2TB micro SD express because I don't want to keep shopping for each drip upgrade they release. I want them to get right to the point.
One thing to keep in mind about CPU clocks is that it doesn't give you a complete picture. It's possible that the Switch 2 could turn off some CPU cores while in handheld mode and turn them on in docked mode, meaning that the cores don't need to be clocked as high and you can get better performance. Or even utilize something akin to "efficiency" and "performance" cores in modern computers. Until we have more information, I will keep that as a probability.
Or it could just be like PS5, where CPU and GPU speed are adjusted multiple times per second based on load, and clocking one lower means that you can clock the other higher.
True, and I guess having mouse-type controllers in the box makes certain types of games more likely. Are lots of people going to play their Switch 2's at a desk, or with a board on their laps, though?
Switch 2 is the biggest engagement for the new console reveal ever ! Official video reveal X Japan 28M, X America 22M & RUclips America 11M in not 1/2 day yet ! Advanced specs are just for a small group of peoples only
The Nintendo Switch sold 15+ Switch in 2024. Even if those sales drop 50%, it might hurt the Switch 2 sales. The support for prior switch might hurt just a tad. @SuperMetalDave64
@@JumpMan64. Boosted by DLSS, but the GPU will be held back by only having of the 40% memory bandwidth of the XSS. It won't impact performance on matte textured mario and zelda games, but on games with high res textures like Cyberpunk 2077, it significantly will impact performance in comparison to XSS. This is something Nintendo has no choice over, humanity hasn't yet invented ram that is both energy efficient and extremely high bandwidth like GDDR6. They had to make a sacrifice, and ram bandwidth is the sacrifice.
@@2drealms196 Isn't bandwidth comparable to most RTX GPUs? Which should be ok. Nvidia doesn't need as much bandwith, at least i heard that. Also it has decompression hardware, which could help. Imo the biggest difference is the CPU and rawpower of the GPU. What speaks for Switch 2 is DLSS and more Ram, as the Ramsize is the biggest complaint of devs about the Series S i think.
XenoSaga and Xenogears HD were possible on Switch 1, the problem is probably money. Square Enix likely doesn't think that series would sell at this point.
I have to give credit to Nate, he was bang on, and Mario Kart 9 definitely will a launch title. I’m looking forward to see in the launch games for Switch 2.
Nope. Prime 4 is a Switch 1 game. And will release after the Switch 2 is already out. Gotta have Prime 2 and 3 Remastered before 4. Prime 2 shadow Dropped next month in the February Direct and Prime 3 a few months later. Then 4. I suspect Prime 4 will release by no later then September.
If Switch 2 sells out it's 20 million in it's first year, that alone beats Wii U's entire life span lol. Honestly I don't think 20 million units will sell in year one. Maybe 12 million.
Hopefully it's a lot of automatic updates with resolution and frame rate, depends on how Nintendo implements it. Some games will require a patch though, like those designed and locked at 30fps.
Well you need to look out on deals because look at the eShop as they ended up putting some of the best games back at full/insane prices. Like Atelier ryza etc to name one game never stay cheap & go right back to their day1 prices. Missed dlc from day 1 that they say will come on a later date never end up for sale. So don't expect to grab them dirty cheap. Put the ones you want now on the wait list & keep an eye out for it. Anyway good luck.
@@SuperMetalDave64 I think for first party games there will be a good jump. 3rd party games may be iffy but I don't buy Nintendo consoles for 3rd Party games.
We have hit the cap with visual quality in tech, there is no more big leaps EVER for humanity when it comes to visual tech. This was always going to happen.
Maybe in specific conditions, generally demos, but I think we've always been biased to consider cutting edge as near perfection until the day we look back and realize how janky it was. Visual fidelity has to go hand in hand with whatever a project has to present, in video games it has started to be considered as a burden for AAA by players who would like more focus on gameplay or just shorter development times. Tools and tech management will keep improving, and I have no clue when VR/AR may become convenient and good enough that it would become a critical part of gaming. The problem is that with such heavy investments, lots of big projects will shove these advancements into games because "if we can we must". In theory the limit is simply being unable to tell if you're in a game or not, granted that's more than just visual, but I'm not sure I'd want to keep playing if we ever get there.
I feel like this teaser was a bit phoned in. I am happy, but they should've shown some more games cuz Mario Kart can only really look marginally better than the beautiful Mario Kart 8.
agreed, tho it looks like the tracks are much bigger now and theres double the amount of players. such details isnt gonna impress people tho. they shouldve shown sometihng with a greater graphical jump. Nobody is gonna care about that after the Direct tho so it doesnt really matter at the end of the day. tho i hope they push the graphics a bit further until release. another possibility could be that its running at 4k60 and that might explain why the other graphical effects didnt get as big of a jump. who knows.
Seemed very basic true, at least we got a nice look at the console though, and Mario Kart is going to be great, even if the graphics aren't too wild, but it's Mario Kart, basically Nintendo's Grand Theft Auto.
@@vlodek-193I just wish the textures on the track looks better, the tires don't even leave a trail in the dirt or kick up any dust they don't feel connected to the track at all
I hope they will update the whole interface. There should be a ingame chat / party and also discord maybe all ingame and not by using your phone. I hope the game store will be updated as well
The Nintendo console is already done. They are trying to have 8 to 15 million consoles available launch day. That's why the leaks are coming out because so many people have already seen the finished product
not just triggers, but the sticks as well. playing mario kart on the gamecube feels so much better and more responsive compared to the switch, and thats because the switch and all its controllers uses digital buttons and sticks.
I'm shocked that a lot of people overlooked the fact that when Nintendo revealed that their next-gen hardware would be backwards compatible with Switch games, they essentially confirmed the Switch 2's existence, yet people were still throwing shade at the rumor guys saying that a reveal was happening soon. Like people couldn't have possibly denied it at that point and should've simply taken it as a mere possibility, but I guess canceling these guys were a lot easier than anything else. That being said, I am quite interested on the way they showed the joy cons moving in motion on the surface. Maybe hinting a possibility of using them as mice? Could work really well for Metroid Prime 4 imo.
imagining how a next gen Xenoblade could look like. I am also really curious about back compat. If the usual suspects keep up their great polishing we are looking at some fantastic looking games. I probably wont pick one up for the foreseeable but I cant wait for the reports
Launch titles need to be on point. Bring back some loved series that have been gathering dust on the shelfs for decades now and watch the money flow. Come on, new Star fox, Mother, F-zero, along with the ever-present marios, zeldas. Fire emblem, smash, etc. Some 3rd party studio games and you're good to go nintendo!
Star Fox would be a good game for the mouse functionality. Unfortunately, Mario Kart has shoved F-Zero off the screen. It hasnt had a game since the gamecube. If they do make another F-Zero this Gen, it probably won't be till 3-4 years after launch, and Mario Kart 9 and all dlc are released. It's kind of the same for Advance Wars. Fire Emblem went mainstream, and Advance wars has only gotten a remake since 2008.
The Nintendo Switch 2 is finally coming this year. I apologize to Nate the Hate for being one of many of the naysayers. Furthermore, the Nintendo Switch 2 is gonna be a worldwide seller once it launches. I will be getting the Switch 2, a new Pro Controller 2, and two games-- a new Mario Kart title and Final Fantasy VII Remake 4K.
Dave I know you want to give credit to who you feel gave the info first, but no one else was willing to put their neck on the line. Also, I know it's not your intent: I've been watching your videos for years, so I feel like you're a genuine person. That being said, that whole section came off kind of bitter. You don't need to point out everything that you did in that section. Great video as always though. How do you feel the "Mouse mode will change how people play metroid prime?
Thanks. Yeah that's true, Nate did put his neck on the line for that, so good thing for him it turned out right. Others though did in fact pretty much rumor it before him though, that's why I felt I had to mention that. The question I have though, is why does the guy keep doing that to himself? It's a lot of pressure riding on you, you're either a hero or completely hated. It's a rough life to be a rumor guy lol.
I could honestly see it as low as 480p upscaled to 1080p in handheld and it would still look better and consume less resources than native 540 to 720 where we stand now with the OG switch. While for the CPU in docked i can see it actually missing a 1 before that 900 frequency and actually being 1900 MHz. Keed in mind the dock is rated at 60w, the cortex usually consumes only 5w and the gpu would consume a max of 40w in docked (probably around half or 60% in handheld) making a total of 45w with the rest up to 60w being used for the ram and other system components. In handheld we might see a tdp of around 30w-35w total system consumption with a possible turbo mode to a max of 40w. Agressive dynamic resolution will probably also be implemented in handheld and game settings will automatically change in handheld to lessen cpu and gpu burden probably the cpu burden will be lessened by means of eliminating some visual aspects of the game (like dust particles and other similar things that require compute power)
The bezel is necessary since the controllers have to go into the body cavity. You need a solid frame/body to hold them in place unlike original Switch that had an external rail.
@@Yae_1995 yeah it would be nice if it were thinner but it’s still an acceptable size to me. As long as it’s not glaringly large like it was on the og Switch I’ll take it. Still a slick looking console especially compared to something like a steamdeck
MicroSD Express cards are significantly more expensive. Though MicroSD Cards have been getting a little more expensive lately because of information overall.
Mario kart 8 online supports 2 player online from one system. Probably due to framerate being dropped to 30 fps since 3 or more players taxes the system to hard. But with switch 2 they should be able to get 4 player online from a single console. Then like Dave mentioned they could get more creative with online like 6 teams of 4 or even a battle Royale type mode where you play 6 races and the losing team drops out after every race.
You think the switch 2 has the hardware of the switch inside? I say that because emulating the switch is probably not what Nintendo would do . I expect the new Nvidia ARM CPU can emulate the switch no probs on the hardware level.
Emulating the Switch OG would be the way to go vs having the actual hardware inside. Remember the original PS3? That had an actual PS2 Emotion Engine installed into the console, and it increased the manufacturing cost greatly, and later Sony removed that chip and B/C for PS2. Switch 1 is pretty easy to emulate (as you probably know), so with Nintendo/Nvidia working on directly making it work, I'm sure it will run great just on software emulation.
@AksilDihya I read that the GPU will be at 560 Mhz and the CPU will be at 1.8 Ghz. But that is still slow. This is clock speed. Not power. I am sure sure how powerful its going to be compared to the PS5. But I think you are right. I don't think it will be as powerful.
3TFLOPS Docked? Sounds good to me. Assuming Nintendo Consoles are historically and ingeniously very well optimized, backed-up with one of the best optimization processes for DLSS (since it is on a Nintendo Console), I think it could easily simulate a performance of 4 to 5 TFLOPS. Docked and a 2,5TFLOPS handheld.
For sure I don't hate the guy lol. Remember Marcus Sellars back in the day? He got a ton of stuff wrong, and he was attacked like crazy by people online, but he was a nice guy and I actually liked him in my convos with him, he was kind of a funny guy with a good sense of humor but he had to give up rumoring stuff because he was always wrong. I don't hate people for rumoring stuff and getting stuff wrong/right, it's the culture that goes with it that I don't like, and also being fair in giving credit to people who get things right first I think is just fair. Nate gets stuff right enough to be respected, but he's also got a lot wrong, so it's mainly the inconsistent nature of his rumors is why I tend to not cover him on my channel. Just a bit too unreliable.
I have some concerns after watching the reveal. The kickstand, if its only plastic, seems way too thin to handle the way people will set the switch on the table then push it down to where they want it. I hope kickstand has some metal in it for rigidity. But the joycon connectors on the console itself, seems really risky. If you drop switch or someone has issues inputting the joycon, id be worried of it getting broken off. Not only that but potential of dust getting on the pins. Seems nintendo is banking on nostalgia of blowing out the old n64 carts, with that design. But if one side pins go out the whole system has to be worked on. It does seem like the controller will need to pivot in from the bottom and click into place. So hopefully people use it correctly and dont try slamming it in straight on the side. The bottom of the joycons look like theres a divet where a pin would go in on the console to hold the bottom. So if it needs to pivot in from the bottom that could secure those pins, but still a big fail point that im positive we'll be hearing about failures after launch. One thing im curious of, is if the original joycons will still connect wirelessly for those backward compatible games like mario party. I have 5 joycons thwt my family uses when we play mario games, and it would be cool if we could still wirelessly connect them to play those games. Obviously it wouldnt connect to the system for charging, but if they had wireless connectivity would be a huge benefit to people who already bought into the accessories from the original switch. Anyways thats my thoughts that no one seems to be speaking on just yet, likely due to how new the reveal is. I expect more people will dig into potential fail points in the future and other concerns that we havent thought of just yet I like that theres a usb charging port on the top like a steamdeck. Thats really good choice. And the design of the joycon triggers, the way they kind of wrap around the side of the joycon, definitely lends credit to a joycon being used for a mouse for some point and click kind of games. I hope that we get an internet option and more streaming apps on this version as well as some background wallpapers and icons would be nice. Cant wait to see what comes from the next few months. Likely a late may- early June release. Cant wait.
They are saying 68GB/s with LPDDR5X. For that throughput it matches with SK Hynix's announcements of LPDDR5X-9600. 7500 and 8533 can not reach 68GB/s with 2 RAM chips.
I'm unreasonably excited for the mouse functionality! :D It will be great to play Metroid Prime 4 and Splatoon 4 and other shooters with mouse-like controls while still being able to utilize the buttons and sticks on the joycon, and who knows what other uses Nintendo thinks to use it for!
I think it will be a real shame if they don't implement mouse-like gyro control activated by touching a capacitive surface. Mice aren't well-suited to handheld or couch gaming.
I wouldnt rush. I would get the OLED model. First 2 years will be several good games and mostly ild games reupscaled. In 2 years I would expect a Lite and a Oled.
You know, With the recent announcement of AI based shaders and rendering techniques, I think this old chip has a lot of tricks up its sleeve because of the software stack that nvidia can provide. I think the switch 2 would be more akin to a PS6 LITE than a current gen xbox series s. :)
I am so pumped beyond belief for the switch 2 I will be camping out at GameStop for it and whatever games that come out so sooooo pumped and I just ordered a tears of the kingdom switch Oled because why not
I came to the realization last night that there was no need to give an announcement about the leaked hardware. Though there was no need to throw shade at Nate. Give him his props for putting his neck on the line. Alot ppl knew but said nothing bc of the consequences. You all who provide us with info are needed & adults understand plans change. Lastly what's point of DLSS or the Switch 2 if we're stuck at 1080p. Knowing consumers are expecting some type of 4k.
I do think release will be Late June or Early July! I do think new mario game will be revealed in April alongside Zelda Windwaker/Twilight combo for switch 1/2!
There are going to be tens of millions of Switch users who won't buy the Switch 2 in the first year. Not everyone is a hardcore gamer. Not everyone can afford it. Tons of people just bought a Switch this year.
I agree 100% with you on this switch not being as powerful...then theyll end up running into a snag further down the road, like always! ..Thats the price Nintendo pays going the non-graphical route.
20 million is more than enough, they’re flooding the market to stave off scalpers & make sure you can readily get one, the Switch sold 13.6 million its first year & it came out in March, this system isn’t coming out til mid summer at the earliest. Not to mention the landscape has changed since then, portable devices are everywhere now, Nintendo will NOT sell more Switch 2’s than the first Switch. It’s going to sell incredibly well but will fall short inevitably due to the sheer amount of competition they now have.
Nintendo has their own upscaling tech in the system also so i think it almost certainly can run every game in 4K upscaled through DLSS 4 or Nintendo Magic upscaling tech
1536 cuda cores * 2 floating point ops per clock * .561GHz = 1.723TFLOPs, 1536 cuda cores * 2 floating point ops per clock * 1.007GHz per clock = 3.0944TFLOPs.
I don't think the Switch 2 will sell as well as the Switch 1. The original was a spearhead, now there's competition for handheld gaming and the less enthusiastic Switch 1 owners might be content with it, not needing more. Also some people own multiple Switches. I think it will sell well, but not as much as before.
@Berserkism Nintendo likes to be cost effective though. So it's not going to have 4k display in hand-held, and it's def not gonna be based on an RTX 3050.
LPDDR5X can be as high as 10,700MHz from Samsung. 2133 is not a specification associated with LPDDR5X. 8533, 7500, for instance, are. The "leak" suggests 68GB/s and neither 7500 or 8533 can do that off 2 RAM chips. It does however match with SK Hynix's announcements of LPDDR5X-9600.
@Berserkism I understand but this specific leak says 2166 in handheld and 3200 in docked which makes no sense I agree with you that ddr5x should be much faster that's why I don't understand why this soec leak says it's so slow sounds like it's not accurate
WOW! It can natively play SWITCH 1 games??? Great idea Nintendo! Screw Sony for lacking backwards compatibility. Thats what got me to leave the PlayStation for a PC. Now the question is do I buy a switch 2 given that I have a steam deck…I am leaning towards yes because switch has party games and the steam isn’t great at multiplayer and couch co-op….
I think the Switch 2 will be a success but I think Nintendo is being crazy optimistic about 20m unites in it's first year especially with a summer release date (would've been more likely if they launched at the start of the new fiscal year.) I predict about 15m in it's first fiscal year.
I believe this won't sell as muvh as the original because whem the switch came out it had no competition and now they have competition with the PlayStation Portal as it can play GTA 6 and any PlayStation 5 game and then theres the steam deck and others that wasn't out when the original switch came out
Honestly leaning on DLSS is probably the worst possible move that Nintendo could go down, frame interpolation is not a good standard to set. The fake frames that DLSS produces does not equal actual performance so making a game go from 25fps to 60 using DLSS frame gen is gonna look like sh*t, feel like sh*t and set a bad performance standard for the future. I never liked the whole switch pro/2 will use DLSS to reach performance of the ps5/series x. I think a more healthy expectation is for the switch to be good enough, like lets be honest if anyone actually were expecting the switch 2 hardware to break records u are delusional. But the more healthy expectation is for the switch 2 to reach performance levels that might still be weak however still being able to develop around, not using DLSS but by perfecting the graphics that already exists. If the graphics generally stays the same or with marginal improvement we can standardise 60++ fps for this new console. Im just hoping for good games, graphics doesnt matter aslong as they are decent. No more no less, lets not force in DLSS where it doesnt belong. Whenever people talk about DLSS, frame gen and all that AI jargon it sometimes feels like they dont necessarily know/understand what frame interpolation actually does, or for that matter feels like. Its worrisome that people seem to think of DLSS as a magic wand that makes game frame rate playable. Its a crude shortcut to achieve acceptable performance but not an actual solution.
It will probably not use/even support frame gen though, not in most cases at least. DLSS here refers to AI upscaling which is much more stable and will only get better, as will FG.
@@metroidprime3863so I've had a thought about this over night and I believe the clocks leaked at backwards compatibility clocks as the CPU clock is more in line with Switch 1.
I really hope Nintendo will have a good net code of any sort or kind, because a 24 player Mario Kart sounds like a buggy, laggy, pop in - pop out nightmare.
@TonyKanameKuran a good online netcode has nothing to do with the hardware. When people with 400ms ping just spawn in and out a 24p Mario kart is probably gonna be a horrible.

Everything seems nice them 3 TFLOPS will be nice in docked!
Same.
The joycons moved like a mouse. Mouse functionality confirmed.
Mario paint and maybe even an nintendo linux distro!
Nope
True, and I guess having mouse-type controllers in the box makes certain types of games more likely. Are lots of people going to play their Switch 2's at a desk, or with a board on their laps, though?

It's tracking amazingly fast. Switch 2 a 200 million selling console maybe? What do you think?
@SuperMetalDave64 So will it be on par with the Xbox series s I'm not a tech wiss
I am looking forward to potential XenoSaga & Xenogears HD now that SquareEnix & BandiaNamco relationship with Nin is even stronger.
I hope it comes with Metroid Prime 4!
Same, but it won't be a pack in game if that's what you mean.

It's not going to
If Switch 2 sells out it's 20 million in it's first year, that alone beats Wii U's entire life span lol. Honestly I don't think 20 million units will sell in year one. Maybe 12 million.
Well the original Switch sold Wii U total sales in like 10 months, so it may be possible for the Switch 2 to do the same.
I'm really excited to see what happens with BOTW and how it looks when played on the Switch 2!
If you really look at mk9, it does appear more cgi like than 8. Plus, the footage of it looked compressed a lot.
You can tell in the character models, looks great.
Can't fucking wait for Switch 2. Gonna be able to play all the Switch games I missed out on at a cheaper price at a higher resolution and framerate!
Hopefully it's a lot of automatic updates with resolution and frame rate, depends on how Nintendo implements it. Some games will require a patch though, like those designed and locked at 30fps.
@@SuperMetalDave64 i hope that's the case, too. Some of the Switch games really need a boost.

Why do you say that?
Dude I remember watching this guy leading up to the NX insane
What a time to be alive 🙏🏽

The Nintendo console is already done. They are trying to have 8 to 15 million consoles available launch day. That's why the leaks are coming out because so many people have already seen the finished product
I just hope they will make enough so scalping won't be as bad 😅
Why do you think Nintendo keeps avoiding analogue triggers, when they would magnify the Mario Kart experience?
Guess they want to keep mk simple.
Very good question. We need to see what the new Switch 2 Pro Controller can do though, but yeah it's not looking great for Analogue Triggers thus far.
not just triggers, but the sticks as well. playing mario kart on the gamecube feels so much better and more responsive compared to the switch, and thats because the switch and all its controllers uses digital buttons and sticks.
Analogue is worse. That's why.
Mario kart isn’t in the “racing” genre. It’s in the “kart racing” genre.
Cyberpunk 2077 is my dream port, imagine playing C2077 on the TOILET?
I think it has a great chance of being ported to Switch 2, not any rumor or anything, but just because it can run it.
If you have a Steam Deck or ROG Ally you are already playing C2077 on the toilet 👍
@@sinister_sushi He means with normal graphic settings and not low.

Sony is going to cut the price of the ps5.
I agree
I wish the bezel was smaller but it’s fine
@@Yae_1995 oled model for sure
The bezel is necessary since the controllers have to go into the body cavity. You need a solid frame/body to hold them in place unlike original Switch that had an external rail.
@@Yae_1995 yeah it would be nice if it were thinner but it’s still an acceptable size to me. As long as it’s not glaringly large like it was on the og Switch I’ll take it. Still a slick looking console especially compared to something like a steamdeck
The switch 2 is going to be a bit underpowered, luckily for Nintendo though that I like playing Mario kart while taking a dump
MicroSD Express cards are significantly more expensive. Though MicroSD Cards have been getting a little more expensive lately because of information overall.
Mario kart already has teams
More of them basically is always good.
560 Mhz seems pretty slow. Aren't the best gaming PCs about 3.3 Ghz?
The switch 2 is going to be underpowered. Luckily for Nintendo though that I like playing Mario kart while taking a dump.
I hope you are right man. That would be amazing!
They never showed a IR sensor. Or SD card. Also what's the little button on the very front of the orange at the top?
IR sensor has been removed. Old SD Cards have been upgraded to the new SD Cards Express.
So the old micro sd cards won't work?
Wow this guy hates Nate 😅😂
I expect more people will dig into potential fail points in the future and other concerns that we havent thought of just yet
I like that theres a usb charging port on the top like a steamdeck.
It's definitely not going to sell more than the Switch
Yea, times have changed since then. Technology is advancing rapidly. Unless we get another pandemic.
I think if it sells about 60-70% of Switch 1, it would make Nintendo reasonably pleased.
True, especially since it will likely cost 50% more.
I think CF Express cards basically make no sense in cost sense. Small factor SSDs would be cheaper and faster to use.
I'm unreasonably excited for the mouse functionality! :D
It will be great to play Metroid Prime 4 and Splatoon 4 and other shooters with mouse-like controls while still being able to utilize the buttons and sticks on the joycon, and who knows what other uses Nintendo thinks to use it for!
I think it will be a real shame if they don't implement mouse-like gyro control activated by touching a capacitive surface. Mice aren't well-suited to handheld or couch gaming.

There are going to be tens of millions of Switch users who won't buy the Switch 2 in the first year. Not everyone is a hardcore gamer. Not everyone can afford it. Tons of people just bought a Switch this year.
I just sold my kidney in thailand and can’t wait to buy this shit.

Do you think the switch 2 can run the new gen EAFC26? I really want to ply football portably. Hopefully it gets Cross platform for proclubs
Nintendo will use BOTH-- AI upscale technology and NVIDIA DLSS 4.

I think everyone who owns a Switch 1 will want to play the new Nintendo games on their new hardware. It will sell at least as well as the first.
It's finally revealed. WOW. WOOT! XD I don't need to go into the deets SMD64 and all have already done that.

Sorry, but you ain't getting 4k in handheld, and there's no way the GPU is based on a RTX 3050
Actually it is. It's a 5nm die shrink of 8nm Ampere 30 Series manufactured by Samsung. The leaked die size matches the T239 on 5nm.
@Berserkism Nintendo likes to be cost effective though.
So it's not going to have 4k display in hand-held, and it's def not gonna be based on an RTX 3050.
The leaked specs are extremely sus the ram is really slow for DDR5X i don't think that's accurate also cpu going down in docked unlikely
What sense did it make to show a Switch upcoming game on the Switch 2 and worse yet in very low resolution. SMH
I hope mk9 edition looks better I like this one though

I believe this won't sell as muvh as the original because whem the switch came out it had no competition and now they have competition with the PlayStation Portal as it can play GTA 6 and any PlayStation 5 game and then theres the steam deck and others that wasn't out when the original switch came out
What if you're wrong and the Switch 2 sells more than your failed assumptions?
Looks like a switch pro we should have gotten 2 years ago
mario cart team dash
Anyone spot signs of Ray Tracing techniques being utilized in the MK9 trailer?
The game isn't finalized until it's all good and ready.
The 3050 just can not do anything meaningful with Ray Tracing. Ray Tracing crushes frame rates. Temper your expectations 😅
The CPU clock speeds are a disappointment if true. Was hoping closer to 1.5Ghz
I think the leak is wrong the CPU is ment to be almost clocked at 1.9 Ghz.
Its wrong. Its 2ghz.
That's not gonna happen with the Switch 2. Unlike the vanilla counerpart, S2 will have more RAM, improved resolution, and better gameplay mechanics.
@TonyKanameKuran a good online netcode has nothing to do with the hardware. When people with 400ms ping just spawn in and out a 24p Mario kart is probably gonna be a horrible.
@@mvr4t Dude... the game is not finalized. Wait until this game is 100% finalized. THEN, you get to analyze it.
You have failed to realize the Switch 2 has an ETHERNET plug in!
I don't care what people say about it, I'm getting one. If I happen to regret it, then I'll deal with that.
Switch 2 OLED after 3 years , better battery , more storage blah blah , rinse and repeat . I’m done with consoles . Got a Steam Deck OLED and gaming PC last year and cannot be happier . I have Gamepass Ultimate and catch games on sale on Steam that I might be interested in .Great channel though bro at least you don’t go for click bate like the rest of them .
Hazza! Finally.
Es hermosa!!! 😍
April second????! I thought that was February 4th. You people and the way you write dates! So this will not launch until very late in 2025??? Damn! I’ll get something else then.
"If it's a new console and it can't run new games then it's a fail" Try telling that to Nintendo! Also, Nintendo doesn't care to be honest. They always do their own thing (for better or worse) and that is how they operate. Expecting something else of them is just useless.
Oh sh*t, the direct is on april 2nd? I thought it's on 4th of february! 😂
Nah, can't wait that long for full reveal! 🥲
Sounds more like a Switch 1.5/Pro model. We’re probably only gonna get better resolution and that’s about it.
Yo
