This is a perfect example of, it’s not how many notes you play.. but how you play them!
Merry Christmas to you and yours!

You sure taught the meat & potatoes on this one.
Learned to play like this over 30 years ago. My sister sang, and played acoustic while I made up solo's like this. We landed a lot of gigs and hosted over 100 parties. I may have already known this but I Subscribed. Because you've taught me several licks over the last month or so. Thanks for all your lessons.

Very nice lesson on getting started with soloing - simple, concise and a lot of room for practice and getting comfortable with it. Thank you, Davey!

Great lesson Davey. Who woulda thunk you could get such cool sound out of just 7 notes. It’s all in the fingers and feel. Sounded great!👍

Great lesson man! Was your backing tracking track A7 D7 E7? Any suggestions for good backing tracks? I usually just pull something from RUclips and practice the licks your sharing which helps. Thanks again. I like when you show the tabs as well, that was really helpful when you posted the video of chord shapes the other morning.

Yes, just A, D and E are the Chords. I just pull backing tracks off youtube as well.... the one I used here was called... swing blues backing track in A...I think...

Dave, thank you for this lesson. I completely understand. I know my major and minor pentatonic scales and triads on 7 different chord shapes. Between all that I can only say keep it simple and start using backing tracks when practicing. Thank you Dave for the lesson. I have watched about 4 of your lessons so I subscribed to your channel. I encourage all serious guitar players to subscribe and take your guitar playing to the next level. And it’s free. Happy holidays Dave.

so it looks like the 4 notes on frets 5 and 7 are from the A minor penta and the notes on frets 10, 11, and 12 are from A maj penta. if so I could add blue notes at 3rd string 8th fret and 2nd string 13th fret?
