The core component of this show is that P&T don't *want* to catch people out. They do catch people, all the time, because them's the rules. They're consummate pros, and exceptionally knowledgeable, and if you can't fool them, tough - they're going to say so.
They'll settle for "We know how you did it, but it was beautiful to watch" because they have the respect that all craftsmen should have for one another, and find joy in inspecting a near-perfect piece of work. But what they really want is to be amazed - and they don't mind letting it show when it happens.

I mean there are a lot of slight of hand tricks that dont show up on youtube videos even frame by frame bc of the angle and/or sudden motion by the magician to blur over what’s happening. But then at that point you could just argue _everything_ is slight of hand. And idk why I think I’d figure out what P&T didn’t. That’s just my best guess at some sort of “evidence”

At some point, probably when the camera wasn't looking, he swapped the deck with a deck that had dirty looking backs on one side and clean on the other, except for the top card. Then to 'change' them he took the top card off and slid it into the deck, when he lays the clean cards out on the table you can see the dirty card mixed in. At 5:11 you can see when he sets the deck down he turns it over, which should be face up but it still shows the backs.

The signatures are proportionally different so there's no transfer going on, and while the second guy method is a possibility, I'm going to say that didn't happen here for the following reason.
Rachel Wax's act on the very same show relied on an obviously prepared signature. I believe the producers are assisting some of these magicians with their performances (to get more people on the show, they're really starting to pad it out with repeat performers) and that Alyson has been instructed to do things in particular ways. She signed both objects the exact same way, lengthways across it and in proportion to the dimensions of it. In Rachel's case she was kind of limiting her options, but with Kolos she was already signing the card before Kolos told her how to.

The whole trick is based on a wonderfully timed slight of hand and forgery (the signature). The switch of the cards for the last part of the trick was done while Alison was signing the card, so in fact the whole time he was playing with different deck of cards (two-sided, one "old", other "new"), which he just rotates for the last part and only leaves and then takes away the first card (the "old"). He tries all the time to hide the other side of the cards, but closer look at 4:37 clearly shows that the cards are two-sided.

Yeah. Its a good routine, but I can't imagine that could've fooled them, unless they were just down to guessing at the specific signature method and decided to let it go, rather than have a technical judgement. The "fool" doesn't have to be the act, nor even a specific trick, but just something they are unsure of. There's also an adjudicator off set & if the fool isn't really one it will be denied by the adjudicator. There's been couple acts where that's happened, as well as the several acts where Penn & Teller said they weren't fooled but it then comes from adjudicator that they were, as P&T "code words" were wrong suggestion. Alison has an ear piece & being spoken to all the time. Some of the corny line she sometimes says after the act are told to her. Though many are hers also. Been watching these (full episodes) from since before Alison started hosting, when Jonathan Ross stated hosting, & have noticed a lot re the production. As well as am in entertainment industry so know production tricks.

So, most people noticed that the last two signatures are faked (and also different from one another). As it's very unlikely that he's had 104 cards prepared, my best guess is that there's an assistant beneath the table who signed the 2 correct cards and loaded them in the box they handed to Kolos halfway through the trick, or that there's some stamp/ink-transfer tomfoolery going on. 🤔
It's really a bit of a shame that the signatures are so obviously different, the trick is amazing nevertheless but were they more similar it would have been even more effective. 😍
Anyway, the key moments of the trick, if I managed to suss them out correctly: 🕵
2:30 - offscreen deck switch from the normal aged deck to a so-called doubleback deck of cards - where each card is printed with 2 backs, in this case one side looks like an aged back of the card, the other side looks like a brand new back of the card. For the whole rest of the trick, he is using that doubleback deck, even though the reveal comes at the very end. You can confirm it's a doubleback deck for a split second here and there during closeups, at 4:37 for example.
2:40 - quick card switch to keep the signed card at the top of the deck, while he throws a random card in the middle pretending he threw the signed one.
3:06 - he quickly sticks the top card from the deck (the signed card) to the bottom of the box before he says 'allison come can you see it'
3:13 - he flips the box and pulls out the signed card from underneath
3:46 - after he places the card in the middle and starts dropping the new batch of cards from above, you can see a gap forms which stays there even after he 'squares everything up real nice'. I suppose it could be as simple as just a piece of rolled up blue tack or whatever he snuck in, just to keep that separation. At 3:52 you can barely catch he's sneaking the card out, he then cuts the deck and sticks the signed card underneath the fan of cards he makes in his right hand.
4:08 - he grabs the box with his finger beneath the left fan, and drops the signed card which he was holding beneath the right fan.
4:12 - possibly the moment he quickly ditches the box over the edge of the table? bad camera angle to catch it better 🤷
4:15 - the table is conveniently just the right height to hide his hand, which is now grabbing the new box, preloaded with 2 faked signed cards (one aged and one new). At 4:21 you can see the awkward hand position, he's holding and hiding the new box, and at 4:23 he is just revealing it.
4:55 - obvious faked signature is obvious.
5:14 - he flips the deck 180 degrees after tapping the box. So far, all the aged backs were facing up, now the brand new backs are facing up (except the very top card, which is there to hide that fact)
5:22 - just flips the box, nothing special
5:30 - he slips the very top card to the bottom and that's it. He has already flipped the deck 180 degrees 15 seconds earlier so all the other cards are facing the right way and ready to be spread out. You can actually see the aged card that he slipped from the top peeking as the second from the bottom at 5:33
5:42 - this card was also in the box since 4:15
Overall this was one of my favorite tricks on the show, very clever and wonderfully executed. Well done Kolos!! 👏👏👏

It's not unlikely that he had prepared cards at all. There have been plenty of acts on Fool Us that have gone to great lengths to have as many outs as possible, there's no reason it couldn't happen here. Alyson's signature is well known. Unless the performer specifically asks Penn & Teller to come up, they're always going to get Alyson as a participant because there's literally nobody else. There was even another act on the exact same show that used a faked signature of Alyson's that was obviously prepared ahead of time.
And it's not ink transfer going on, because the signatures are proportionally different from each other.
