Flying rings - Kolos

The amazing routine of the flying rings. (rings and routine originally from Victor Voitko) Music: La La Land, City of Stars
TV edits are always hard to gauge, but I'm truly curious how long Penn & Teller deliberated on their dissection of how well-polished this act was. I love a story time where the story presents things as all being above-board where the action is. Juggling isn't as easy as people think, especially when you just use one hand and your back isn't facing the audience. It's all about the flick of the wrist and a flip of the box. That code all said, I really do wonder if the producer had less obtuse guesses from Penn & Teller cut to avoid spoiling parts of the trick they may have figured out but just didn't have enough figured out to satisfy what the producer would agree didn't fool them, so it's better to hide it all than show disappointment in Allyson's face as it falls apart.
Im confused
Ok the part im not totally clear on is either A. when did he forge the signature or B. How did he force the 7 of diamonds at the start I get that he could have psychologically forced to the seven of diamonds with his preamble and the initial spread the 7 of diamonds is the most visible but that seems more risky than forging the signature during the trick
Which to be clear there are 2 forgeries and 1 of her original signature, the 2 forgeries are one old and the one new card, I do not want to edit my original post
5:35 you can see one of the old looking cards in the left pile near the bottom. Seems like a mistake perhaps.
that was very impressive to say the least.you got a new subscriber and hats off to you.
one of the best routines iv seen in my life ...would love to be able to perform this myself but first i have to know how its done XD but man this is amazing. the creativity to think of the trick, and to think of a method to pull it off not to mention the skill to do it as cleanly as this ....... for sure kolos is up there with the best magicians with this trick.
Imagine you go to film Penn and Teller and it's like 12 people in an apartment.
4 different signatures. Still, it's an amazing trick.
Alisson is so awkward.
4:57 🤨
how did this fool them? i mean it was well done but incredibly obvious. the 3 different ways to do the trick were really just a red herring. he needed the first "stage" to press her card against the back of the box, which we can see that he does. not sure what he used to do it but it makes a copy of her signature from the "old" card "new" card that is already inside the box. we know that because thats where it comes from in "his" version of the trick, or stage 3 if you like. that sticky surface on the box is perfect for him to apply a false "new deck" piece for later. notice he only shows that side of the box, this is done in stage 2 where he palms the old box and moves it under the table applies the new box false front palms it and makes it appear when he is waterfalling the cards. again, he only shows 1 side of the box, which at this point is the old side. stage 3 he pulls new cards, if you pause at 5:22 you can see the much whiter new cards under a few older looking cards because he didnt square the deck. now all he does is pull the few old cards under the new looking deck. if you pause at 5:33 you can see a tiny piece of the old style cards poking out and an EXTREMLY obvious new box false front stuck on to the box. but, as i said, he did a really nice job doing all that just a couple slip ups. EDIT, i forgot to mention how incredibly different the signatures are. take a screen shot of the original and compare to the one at the end.
It's interesting to watch, but there is something wrong in the idea of recovering a different item...The beauty is when you return what was barely impossible to return. However, when you just return a look-alike item it can look good but in the core of the trick it lacks the class. If only you could find the way to do that with exactly the same card. That would make it all prefect and moreover - classy! P.S.: this trick works only with famous assistant, who's signature you can find in the Web, which also makes this trick very limited. Amazing performance! Wish you more cool ideas!
Do not come to Greece with this name!
Those signatures sure kept changing lol.
Das sind verschiedene styles bei den Unterschriften der 7 Karo ♦️
how in the world did he fool them? He obviously worked with Allison before to make sure she picks the seven of diamonds so he proceeds to write her signature on the new card before the show. Come on now you can easily tell. It’s a new signature each time.
Meanwhike Greek people bursting into laughter everytime they say his name!!! 🤣🤣
Card at 4:55 is not the card she signed. Nor is the card at 5:48. but Penn & Teller were too far away to see the difference.
So many of these card tricks always use shiny new decks, but I really like the idea of using worn down cards, it's got a lot of appeal, not to mention they're probably harder to control. I think it adds to the mystique of it a little, that's what I imagine a truly magical deck of cards would look like, it feels less artificial.
You cannot say „That‘s not my signature!!!“ during a magic performance. Yep!
Look at time stamp 2:35 and time stamp 4:55. Not the same signature.
Szenzációs, lélegzetelállító!!!
1:56 if that is the Same deck of cards that his grampa used shouldn't there be signatures all over them?
amazing..
The comments missed the point the signature was not the trick they knew that, the fooled part was the new card of decks and transfer to new card
That's not the same signature..
I really hate Allison as the host of this show. She has no personality or charisma at all. The whore.
Incredible how someone can pull these tricks off while been so nervous and having shaky hands.
7:10 i think this is how Penn tells him "we saw the cards signatures but that's not what stumped us"
Barcodes weren't used until the 1970s and even then they weren't widely used. The signature(s) is a whole different story.
My Fatter.
What we need to know is that P & T are watching this in trick real time. There's no playback for them to go through each camera angle. I'm sure they would have found out later when they played it back how it was done. How many of those who are commenting would have caught the trick if they had been there in person and watched it live? If you think you would have then their seat is yours for the taking.
Wanderfool
Signature cards are different of course (pause, do a screenshot, and compare with next trick signature and you will see it). But the change of the old cards to the new ones was good. You can still spot an old car or two on the new pile, but the trick was good and I think that is what really fooled them.
The grandpa trick, you can see when he passes the cards over the box at minute 3:07. The rest I didn’t see anything.
Gratulálunk! Nagyon lenyűgöző volt.
NIce performance, unfortunately, the signed cards are slighty dfferent from the initial one....
The signature is different on the different cards
No its not cuz thats not how the trick works. And it actually makes zero sense to do the trick like that. Moron.
Where can you buy those worn out cards? They are beautiful!
2:36 4:55 5:45 3 different signatures 😊
Signature is different 😂
The first two cards revealed appear to be Alyson’s, which is brilliant magic, but the third one and the final one are obviously not the card Alyson signed, but top marks for the rest of the performance!
It must be the fact that the camera was close up, because, I saw his move on grandpa's version, and I noticed that the signatures changed throughout. Even though they a tablet showing the monitor, from their angle, I can believe that they missed the move on grandpa's, but there is no way they should have missed the signatures being VERY different throughout.
Absolutely fabulous trick. Congratulations.
Incredible illusion. Nagyszerű. But if the grandfather's box of cards was supposed to be 50 years old, why did it bear a UPC barcode? They were not introduced until the mid-1970s.
For the first time I am so disappointed and even mad at penn and teller that they doesn’t find how he is doing the trick ,.. it was so obvious. All the signature are so different and even a blind could see yet BUT THEN I REMEMBERED SOMETHING, Alison has choosed a card from her mind.. so how he did sign 3 times the specific 7 of diamond and pull them at the moment he want !
Wow i'm actually just surprised I followed the grandpa trick perfectly.
Cool tricks and good story! But I have to say, the duplicate card had a pretty sloppy & too bold signature @4:52
Why is the theater empty?
The deck was swapped between 2:21 and 2:34
