You can clearly see the drivers are on two different skill levels. The Deere driver was moving his bucket to counter the weight. The others until the new holland just kept it in on position
Its true
And the John Deere tires are filled with fluid
Ya you can see him moving his bucket over ever bump
What shame
TT 66 ni ni
The problem is that they tip back. The JD with a higher and further forward center of gravity can decelerate at the top of the hill, and "throw" himself over the top. The others actually would work better in the real world, but they lose this test that is rigged to benefit the objectively worse machine.
there,s another video going around from 1997 that,s rigged for newholland
@@rickyp3218 Being involved in the New Holland skid steer rodeo, they were not rigged. They were machines taken from the local dealer
in a real world contingency, should the machines with normal weight distribution (rear heavy when unloaded) need to climb that steep of a hill, they could still make it, in reverse.
Our skid steers at work pop wheelies coming up on our pintle trailers all the time, you just keep the throttle down and drag the ass end on the ramps all the way up. That operator looks like he could have done the same thing to get up the hill. The dirt looks compact enough to accomplish but instead he kept letting of way to early
This demonstration was created by deere for a deere skid steer.... if it was a bobcat, cat, or case demonstration... they would all come in place first too
Matt McNeice if you watch close. The deere driver is properly moving his arms and bucket to make it over. The drivers of the others were not. Hence you wont make it over that engineered hill with out dropping the bucket. Lol my 9 year old noticed it before he even showed me the video. 👍
No shit Sherlock
The drivers in all the other skidsteers were not operating properly
yes. This is john deere setup stage, so what you expect :D
This was a stupid video lol.
Newhollend and John Deere skid steers are made exactly the same with different badges.
More weight in the ass end of a loader means it can lift more. i know for a fact new bobcats can out lift john deeres in the same class.
I've been operator for a years..
What I see in this video is John Deere's tilting there bucket forward to make it over the hill, if you pay close attention to the other buckets are tilted way back to prevent it from going up the hill..
All 'competitors' of the john deere are heavier at the back (counterweight) When driving a load thats a huge advantage. Not to mention it is prohibited (safety wise) to go uphill forward with a skidsteer with no load in the bucket. No john deere for me.
Greetings, a heavy machinery safety instructor.
exactly!
Cat should of just droped his bucket and plowed right thru mount skidmore
ButchE30M3S14
ButchE30M3S14 ф
ButchE30M3S14 if the deere was so bad ,it didn't have a problem with the liad
Bobcat has always made great machines, we have a T300 and its a beast, love the UC as well, it has some longevity..
your right about bobcat
We have an S300, absolute beast of a machine
I would like to know where they hired the operators for the competitors, common sense is to lower bucket when going over hill
This was designed for JD to win. Those other rigs have a lot of weight in the back. This was a JD commercial.
Thank you for calling them operators,so many people call them drivers, you don’t drive heavy equipment
The J Deere driver tilted his bucket down to shift the weight slightly lower to get up that little hill without tipping. The other drivers did NOT. That could be the difference right there (and I believe it is).
Haha yea only reason I came to the comments was to see who also noticed that lol
@ KEVINALLENMATTHEWS WRONG the new Hollen tipped the bucket forward and it did not help, make sure you actually watch before stating wrong information
@@220jonnyblaze WRONG. First of all, it's spelled "New Holland". Second of all, it is NOT a New Holland. It's a John Deere (versus a Bobcat). Where's the New Holland (correct spelling) you're talking about? Talk about "stating wrong information"...
How fucking stupid are you? it’s at 3:50 in the video clearly you can see you stupid mf. That being said new Holland who cares if I misspelled it? You understand what I wrote you stupid bitch
@@220jonnyblaze I was talking about the FIRST PAIR of competitors in the contest, jackass. Also, ANYone with intelligence will care if you misspelled it, jack ass. Before you speak or write, read a book. Perhaps you ought to LEARN English before you ATTEMPT it.
All this means is that the John Deere is front heavy
James Grier you can see deer puts the bucket down when it goes over hill
James Grier agreed
that is only party of it, the deere is front heavy. let's repeat this with the max load in the bucket
still john deer is more back heavy then anyone else in lifting buckets... but this is john deere setup stage, so what you expect :D
who cares it looks like fun to me
Rhis looks more like a promo-vid for John Deere, than anything else.
Lucky Charm promo for suckers. Lol. My 9 year old figured out the trick in the first time he viewed it.

Yup. It's just an infomercial made for RUclips instead of television.
Really?
Now, when they break down, let's see who gets repaired quicker.
Or cheaper
Haha good point
Neither one. They are hell to work on.
The best hilarious comment so far....
Thx... Makes me grin...
RCMXX is an American saying
deer driver is tilting bucket down when going over Hills. the machine is not outperforming it is driver error
Shawn P yeah ikr!!!!!
Thats what i aboit to say
I agree
andrew
Shit who's never wheeled a bobcat and stopped. No one on the construction sites I work on...thats the fun of running them. They are Swift, turn sharp, and wheelies
I work for a rental equipment company as a driver. I promise you if you pull up with a john deere skid steer, you will be pulling back off with it. bobcat is the best by far. they also don't spend as much time in our shop.
Cat is hands down the best..but wacker neuson is a close second. Bobcat only last a while because they don't have enough power to destroy themselves.
This is so stupid, the Deere lowered his bucket at the top so he did flip backwards, the others didn't so they did, then the holland notices and did it the second try when he went up and it worked, the Deere was just a better driver who's not stupid and balanced the weight better..
1:08 making a mountain out of a molehill 🤣🤣🤣⛰️
So obviously John deere doesn't have as much lifting capacity.
This is exactly was i was thinking, they're all over loaded except him
He he keeps putting his bucket down on the last hill gravity helping him win John Deere the Best
It's not the machines, it's the operator. Bobcat skid loaders are great work vehicles.
It's like when my 6 year old makes up rules for a game to where she always wins. They perfectly engineered "Mt. Skidmore" for the John Deere to win. If you notice, the operator on the John Deere always levels the bucket out at the top to get just enough weight out front. That's how close it is to tipping backwards. When coming back with the "loaded" bucket, the bucket is never full. its loaded to the front to look full but it has plenty of extra room in the back for more dirt. BUT, if it had a full bucket it would tip forward going down the "mountain". Perfectly rigged to not tip either way
02:20 john deere his bucket down, bobcat did not....
if anyone thinks this is real read up. the driver slows down slightly at the top to put more weight on the front as it peaks over the hill. it's all operator. John deere skids do nothing better than any others
for me the best is CAT
This is amazing!
I see many of you haven't studied physics. The John Deere isn't necessarily more front heavy. Because if that was the case it would almost have the opposite problem and be prone to tipping forward on downslopes. It's not because its tilting its bucket going over the last rise because the other ones did try that trick too and it didn't work. It's about weight distribution and center of gravity. The John Deere has a wider wheelbase front to back than most of the other, especially the Bobcat. And it has its rear wheel especially set further back. Also where the loader arms attack and where the pistons attach to the frame and arms also makes a big difference. Better weight distribution and lower center of gravity. Makes a ton of difference.
they didn't show case because it beat john deere 😂
exactly
Doubt that can't afford something else
Matt Thompson case machines aren’t cheap😂
@@cadestrange1735 a case TV380/TV450B is around 65-75,000 depending on spec. I’d say that’s competitively priced for the market
I dont think case makes a skid steer
Not surprised with its climbing capabilities.. familiar with JD 313 skid in a rental fleet we had 6. The wheelbase is slightly different & weight is shifted more forward. This does help with climbing but driving on hard surfaces especially asphalt the machine tends to jump and bounce in turns if not careful. They were structurally strong machines but often plagued with annoying electric issues. Foot petal lockout solenoids often fail or freeze in cold, starters quit, interior instruments panels went bad, failed safety switches. Some older models had the wiper motor on cab and not the door it was a terrible design would cause the door to open and crush wiper blade. Worst part was JD couldn't supply our company a decent wire schematic for the units & parts are ridiculous expensive markup. Remember one wiper motor was somewhere around $500🙄
John Deere doesn't have any shame about rigging these, so called competitions.
The Amish in their bobcats would absolutely own this comp.
I bet the john Deere had fluid in the front tires
I wouldn't trade my CAT 257D for anything.
@nordhorny then you get get as many cats as you wanted
damn bro, I grew up on this. it's all coming back to me and it's glorious
lol
I get the feeling that the Deere guys were driving the other brands.
Watching this I wonder if all the loaders that were back heavy... could pick up a bigger load than the deere skid steer?
You'd think that would be the case from.. watching.
Take that same Deere with no add on"s and do the lifting competition... lol
Give us a break. Where is Kobota? One challenge - who can keep the wheels on the ground when going over unlikely terrain. Terrain that could be modified if need be.
because this compition is rigged. They want the outcome to be JD as the top Skid machine.
I dont see how anyone could get this excited for this
I can’t think of any real life scenarios where being able to drive up a grade that steep would matter.
Love JD tractors but Bobcat is the best skid.Complete B.S. the other operators didn't roll their buckets down to make it over the moguls but the JD did.So much for good operators.
Bobcat operator just needed to drop his bucket like the JD operator did and he would have been there. Set up!
No it's a lighter steer
This will be a great promotional video for John Deere
MorganGaming it is because its rigged!!!
I got punked... I just watched a John Deere commercial. :(
Yeah..me too..
what a joke. why don't they let the operators keep going? Because of this stupid video, I'm not buying a deere and I'm buying a CAT! Now how did your marketing pay off?
Paul R CAT and Bobcat is the best.
Paul R fuck yeah bobcat ever
We've run just about every machine at our company: Kubota, cat, Deere, takeuchi, case, bobcat, new Holland, etc.
Cat has always been the best machine.
cat sucks who wants delayed hydraulics?
what delayed hydraulics? lol......
John Deere had the shovel full of mud, clear advantage!
Great Video!
I would like to see them all go uphill on reverse.
fine print at bottom of screen:
This is a paid advertisement for John Deere.
pathetic.
I think it's rather impressive that a baseball cap manufacturer put on such an extravagant show.
Also I don't know what you haters are all going on about. When I was an operator it was a pretty common thing to have to carry a bucket of dirt over 3 perfectly engineered and manicured hills, the last of which was really tall and pointy.
Good races. Fun to watch
Did u notice that Deere tipped its bucket and the others didn't
ZachtheMack 21 I noticed that they actually tip their bucket back a few inches to help them lift the tires the first time they hit the hill and yeah the John Deere tipped his bucket down that's bullshit this is all promoted by John Deere though they probably put weights in the engine compartment to on the other ones cheating bastards
Tino Tarantino IKR!!!!

Good wholesome fun for the entire family!!! Where I live there is a CAT dealer within 15 minutes. The Deere dealer is 2 hours east. CAT IS THE WINNER by 120 miles!!!!!!! We never failed to complete a job because our CAT skid steer couldn't go up Mount Skidmore.
Também já operei uma new holand desse tipo aí, muito boa também!
I could do the course on my front tires in half the time. I could even do it after 15 beers.
Lol Come work for me then
I'll do it better after 15 beers lol
Half the time on two wheels and 15 beers, I'll pay good money to see that.
Pete Miller look up new kubota. Pay me later !!
Pete Miller it’s a new post on my channel. Scroll way down “new kubota”. Video is just for you Peter.
shit i can go over that little hill with the bobcat and win everytime.
Independent test shows that case can do that best.
Shit a asv rt40 is better than a Deere skid steer.
I've been working with a Case skid loader since 1989 it's a 1835c and in 2001 bought a 40xt both are very good machines! That test was mostly show, dropping the bucket at the right time will help on the hill , the new Holland missed the timing a little, the other two didn't try. Never had the chance to run a Deere ,I'm sure they would do a good job, but please "
they are all good machines
Volvo MC115C ?
The John Deere has foam filled tires and the rest have air filled......this competition was RIGGED !!!!
What a suprise a john deer promotion and they win every race.
This is fun!
It's the bucket tip...JD rigged this up.
Nicholas C. Massey ikr!
All this proves is that John Deere has a smaller counter weight on the back. All the others can haul more without tipping forward.
Seeing that John Deere put this out, you know it's rigged.
The John Deere tires are filled with fluid.
In the real world you can't beat a New Holland
When the Operator has become one with his piece of equipment
I'd just level the work area better with my excavator, duh.
skid steers are not meant to replace all equipment you are correct
it is evident that in this "competition" the operators of the other mini-loaders were badly conducted, in my opinion CASE is better machine.
I run a Yanmar skid steer every day. Definitely kinda funny to watch this. Kind of like Monster Jam the way they set it up. I know for a fact the Yanmar wouldn’t be able to do this, the front end tips with not much weight on it.
That's why I like a tracked machine, this is the limitation of a wheeled skid steer, especially if it has some heavy counter weights in the back. Take the weights off the back to make things fair.
Shouldn't they compare the same models? Long wheel base john Deere vs short wheel base everything else. S130 is almost the smallest Bobcat available but that Deere is a much larger model
Cat bobcat are better
i like bobcat too
Dylan Slahtovsky the deere clearly won

Because their weight is in the back to help support heavy lifting. I run a bobcat every-day and when you pick up 3,000 and 4,000 pound tires you need that weight in the back.
Cat/Bobcat > everything else.
100%
notice how the deere operator uses his bucket as weight to get of the hill and none of the other operators hardly do anything? deere is shit. cat all the way
Dave Rybak yuppp!!!
I need this soundtrack for when I’m super constipated and working hard to get the job done.
This has got to be in Iowa, only us Iowans would enjoy something like this lol plan the whole day out just to go to this event
JD had weighted tires for sure
If this isn't self-promoting by John Deere, then I don't know what is. Cat beats the shit out of Deere any day.
I know right lol
Loomi
Cabage
Loomi ii
yea john deer is junk compared to cat and the cat in this video is not rolling the bucket down as he goes over the hill
We have heaps of John deer dealers in Australia but I can't recall ever seeing a John deer skid steer on any construction site I've Been on
my gtand daddy had a deer skid it was amazing... had it for 30 years and only changed the oil a handful of times and thats it
They got the smallest john Deere possible
this is complete bs and an advertisement john deere skid steers are absolute shit and this comes from experience in working with them. bobcats are the best designed skid steer
You are very correct i've been running bobcat since I was about six and I've ran John Deere case new Holland and cat and I'm still sticking with bobcat
Deer cat and bob cat are great machines. for me cat is the best
Mentirada deslavada, conheço todas essas máquinas, new Roland e a caterpillar são as melhores
They told the rest of us not to tip the bucket down on the uphill slope
John Deere is junk my Bobcat will go up way steeper hills .
my cat can beat that i went up a seven foot hill with my cat
Jd skid steer is way small than all the others
Congratulation!
John Deere!
U realise this is fake right? Because the john deere moved his bucket down when at the peak of the hill
Seems legit. Stick around for round 2 when we find out which company can extort the most for repairs!
I have a bobcat and cat it goes up 70 digress like nothing doesn't pop a wheele
Dylan Slahtovsky asvaltkesmeataşmanlıbobcat
I'm calling complete bull shit... JD had a factory operator when the other guys were general contractors. Notice how they didn't compete with a GEHL/mustang? Hahahahahahaha.
A John deer would still be my last choice of skid steer
I really don't know much about these type of machines, but i did notice the other machine drivers lifting the front shovel up to tip it back and not go over the hill.
This right Here false advertisement
Where is gehl? John deer sucks!
Timothy Sternberg they didn’t put gehl in there because Deere knew they would lose to them.
I would like to just inform the “fan” in the stands laughing that skid steer racing is not a laughing matter all competitors risk their lives for this passion the least they could do is show the same respect as others.
yeah. if you pay attention closely, the deere tilts its bucket down when at the apex of the inclines, using the weight of the bucket to bring the nose down while the others dont.
this is a set up its fake cat and bobcat would kick john deere to the moon any day
John Deere is a piece of crap. CAT all the way.
dude my cat holds a lot i site there for a minute trying to fill my bucket my cat cost me 10 thousand dollers
