no because if you watch the video the back plates of the forks were not touching the weight except for the John Deere, so according the laws of physics the John Deere had a major advantage over the other competitors
I have personally used every machine in that group with the exception of New Holland. For lifting, or concrete work I would choose the CASE everytime. The hydralics on the 450 are pretty impressive. Besides power, I would also say it has the fastest cycle time of any of those machines.
the bobcat t-250 is a brutus machine and is a pusher, and heavy mover, an unstoppable beast. there is a reason why most people commonly refer a skid steer loader or CTL as a bobcat. the other brands dont really compare when you actually use them on a jobsite.......
Bobcat S-850 R.O.C. is 3,950lbs and the T-870 is 3,525 lbs. but the t870s operating tip is 5000 lbs and full tip load is over 10,000 lbs. jd cant even complete lagitamitly because theyre published specs are fattened, ive seen the Bobcat Company specs breakdowns of the 2, the actual breakdowns, not the published ones that jd puts out. the bobcat was beating the jd in every catergory except pushing cap. but why push stuff when you can just pick it up haha.
The reason why Bobcat is so low in the score is because Bobcat is one of John Deere's biggest and most prominent competitors. We all know that the Bobcat could have done it. I can't speak for the other manufacturers because I haven't operated any of them besides Bobcat.
I did this test today. I work for a Bobcat dealer and used the rental T-870 to lift 6,000lbs with ease. I tried to lift 8,000, but it was too mush but it did start get it off the ground, maybe 6700 lbs or so. The weight was 2,000lb bundles of rebar we sell. As soon as the S-850 comes in, Ill try again.
I'm a big John deere fan and that was rigged something awful. The only type of costumer you can get with a demonstration like that is simple minded ones that prolly don't think that deep on machinery anyways. I think it's embarrasing for deere to show that sorta arrogance
The CASE was powerful too, just 200 lbs more weight in the rear-end and he could had lifted that block up to the bar no problem. For those of you that don't understand what 6,000 lbs is, I will make it simple for you. A minivan weights 4,000 lbs. Now imagine you crammed 10 guys that weigh 200 lbs each into the minivan. That's how much those little machines were trying to lift.
@MotoScootMech actually JCB and Volvo worked together to create the best skid steer on the market and they did! So Volvo and JCB have the best skid steer today!
Good point. I never noticed. Yeah. Although. I did have the opportunity to drive the Deere skid steers and I prefer it to CAT, New Holland, and most others. I would however buy a deere or Case.
This is setup by john deere but there is a few flaws. i work for a bobcat brand skid steer dealer and i did this test myself. here are the results- the tip load on a 320 and 300 are the same and the 300 wont lift it either. bobcat t-250 WILL lift 6000 lbs and not tip, the reason, its a radius path . i use a t-250 for a rebar loader at work and unload the rebar del. truck 2 bundles at a time(2,000 lbs each). if they got a t-250 they could've carried that thing back out to the truck it came in on
The Deere was almost ready to tip, there was over 2" of air space under the rear idlers. A more fair test would be to take 400 pounds of weight off the concrete block, then all machines could compete more fairly.
Its funny because as soon as i saw all the JD tractors in the background, and the JD skid steer advertised on the concrete block i knew that John Deere was going to win.
All the forks on the skid loaders were not all the way in making the load unliftable or making the machine tip forward the Deere was the only one to go all the way in these tests were set up for the Deere to look better when it’s not
I believe that John Deere had leader than all. because I used them often times since there is excellent designed. Long time I worked there. Cat and other kinds are not easy.. I only prefer to use John Deere is more comfortable for me to work there. Depend you had good skill.
they probably couldn't, my dad has a farm tractor with a loader rated to that weight but we couldn't curl the forks because the cyclinders didn't have enough power
It’s pretty easy to turn the relief up so it can pick it I’m a heavy equipment mechanic and all those other ones could out lift a jd on a job still junk
Sad thing is our 40 year old 975 bobcat would destroy all those machines and any current model available. Rated at 3700lb lift but could do a lot more than that. Ours was across a scale at over 14,000lbs wet and we could load 450bu manure spreaders in under a minute. They don’t make them like that anymore.
No way. You don't have to see all the way down to the back of the forks. He could easily see the backer fence was 6" away from the top of the load so obviously the back of the forks weren't flush either.
I seen a lot of videos and the ASV and John Deere 333G it’s the best power which one has best quality and better customer service ??, What a bout John Deer 333G ??? + ASV not building US it’s Australian product if in case it breaks down who is going to fix it ?there’s no dealers in every city or town + the $$$$ it’s 1/3 more expensive What is the point? I seen a lot of video but I never seen with ASV RT-120
The new bobcat t870 has about 3400lb ROC and the s850 has almost 4000lb Roc. For bobcat their roc is usually about half of tip. I use a t-300 to move things including other skid steers, especially the new holland trades we get. This is typical crap from a company who sells more tee shirts than equipment.
@bobcats330 Can you PLEASE then make a full video walkaround and inside or outside cab test drive in both the t870 and s850 and post it, PLEASE AND THANKS I've been dying to see a video walkaround and test drive of the t870 and s850! :)
a takie TL150 would do that no problem. We all know this is a deere show though cause u see there equipment lined up to the left. Look up this vid " Takeuchi TL150 Skid Steer Benching 7000LBS! "
JD should know better. Whoever came up with lying, cheating, manipulation, and treating potential customers like complete morons as their marketing campaign should be fired and then flogged. It doesn't take an experienced operator to call bullshit.
This is so ridiculous ,the Case and the NH will have killed the Deere ,but apparently no one notice those two machine were not all the way against the block, RIGGED by Deere.
notice how none of the competitors back plates were against the block except for the john deere definatly rigged
no because if you watch the video the back plates of the forks were not touching the weight except for the John Deere, so according the laws of physics the John Deere had a major advantage over the other competitors
so are you agreeing with me or not? I don't really understand what you are saying
@@thomasspurling756 notice that bobcat and cat dont even try to lift the weight
@@unstoppablecaseskidsteer1453 8 years and nobody even noticed he never swittched accounts
Bobcat at first had it right, but didn't lift. Otherwise, I agree, rigged.
The case would of had it if the back plate of the forks where closer to the crate
Exactly,,,which is why the operator lifted it wrong,,,
this is john deere setup show for marketing. So what you expect
the case forks didnt even go all the way in lol, this is so stupid, actually make jd look bad
Case for the win, he stayed back from the load 8" and still lifted it
I like how the Case was set up and could still lift it.
Funny how the announcer said about the Case "not enough raw power" when clearly it had plenty.
Why was the load not placed all the way against the mast? Note they did it with the Deere. Contrived nonsense.
I have personally used every machine in that group with the exception of New Holland. For lifting, or concrete work I would choose the CASE everytime. The hydralics on the 450 are pretty impressive. Besides power, I would also say it has the fastest cycle time of any of those machines.
I agree, the Case machine was clearly set up. He could have brought that load in by 4 more inches at least.
I wonder if these machines are at full rpm
No its at idol
I want to know if the rev's were all the way up in all these competitions. I like how they don't show inside the cab
Where is Volvo and kubota?
Asv with there almost 4000 pound lift capacity
I think that case deserves 1 point
Fake all the way.
Natalia Germanovich I no rate
The Cat 299C was missing the standard counterweights on the rear
You win Case ! John Deere cheated 😡
the bobcat t-250 is a brutus machine and is a pusher, and heavy mover, an unstoppable beast. there is a reason why most people commonly refer a skid steer loader or CTL as a bobcat. the other brands dont really compare when you actually use them on a jobsite.......
why did so many people dislike this video because john deere makes the best machines in the world and always will for ever
We used to do our own competions at jobsites but the other equipment dealers quit because we always won, then sold the machine to the guy.

Im as fond of Deere's as any man but why weren't the others lifting with the load as close to the headstock!!
Ya so fake case would have had it if his forks were in all the way and tilted back, I'm a cat guy myself,6 year skid steer operater
i'd take the bobcat
I'm a big John deere fan and that was rigged something awful. The only type of costumer you can get with a demonstration like that is simple minded ones that prolly don't think that deep on machinery anyways. I think it's embarrasing for deere to show that sorta arrogance
Nice try to make your green crap look like it has some power.....

did anyone see all of the JD equipment in the background, I wonder who is being sponsored
Good point. I never noticed. Yeah. Although. I did have the opportunity to drive the Deere skid steers and I prefer it to CAT, New Holland, and most others. I would however buy a deere or Case.
im seeing a viral video ad here, gotta be honest, cat are market leads with brute power, always have been
This is setup by john deere but there is a few flaws. i work for a bobcat brand skid steer dealer and i did this test myself. here are the results- the tip load on a 320 and 300 are the same and the 300 wont lift it either. bobcat t-250 WILL lift 6000 lbs and not tip, the reason, its a radius path . i use a t-250 for a rebar loader at work and unload the rebar del. truck 2 bundles at a time(2,000 lbs each). if they got a t-250 they could've carried that thing back out to the truck it came in on
thats y they had the biggest john deere loader they make
and if it matters, the t870 and s850 both have optional 2 speed. top speed is 11 and 12 mph.
The Deere was almost ready to tip, there was over 2" of air space under the rear idlers.
A more fair test would be to take 400 pounds of weight off the concrete block, then all machines could compete more fairly.

Notice how Takeuchi is not included
I swear these are set up for Deere to win these comps
Cat needs to tilt the forks back
on the cat, the main lift cylinders were strong enough but the cylinders that curl the forks weren't
The case did what we call a "tip lift" is when he doesnt go all the way to botom out the forks before lifting.
Why didn’t they have all vertical lift machines
This is rigged by John Deere
cat any day.
a TL150 or 250 will blow any machine on the market away. Period.
Its not the operator, its the event. JD put it on who did you think was going to win????????????????
why does the deer get to put its forks all the way under it and not the others ?
It’s pretty easy to turn the relief up so it can pick it I’m a heavy equipment mechanic and all those other ones could out lift a jd on a job still junk
What is with some of the machines
An Insult to the intelligence of most operators.. They also forgot to bring in Takeuchi...
Sad thing is our 40 year old 975 bobcat would destroy all those machines and any current model available. Rated at 3700lb lift but could do a lot more than that. Ours was across a scale at over 14,000lbs wet and we could load 450bu manure spreaders in under a minute. They don’t make them like that anymore.
because on the case, it slipped off a bit when it tipped forward and I'm guessing the operator can't see down to the forks because of poor visibility
MAth in my head . 2200lbs per ton 2200x3 = 6600lbs. SO the 6200lbs block is not over 3 tons as he stated.
No way. You don't have to see all the way down to the back of the forks. He could easily see the backer fence was 6" away from the top of the load so obviously the back of the forks weren't flush either.
@JaceJacksonGT Ohh cool, did they write any articles or anything on the collaboration between Volvo and JCB? I'd like to read it if they did=D
the case could have if the weight had been all the way back and raised slowly. all comes down to operator error.
I'm still buying the ASV
I seen a lot of videos and the ASV and John Deere 333G it’s the best power which one has best quality and better customer service ??, What a bout John Deer 333G ???
+ ASV not building US it’s Australian product if in case it breaks down who is going to fix it ?there’s no dealers in every city or town + the $$$$ it’s 1/3 more expensive What is the point?
I seen a lot of video but I never seen with ASV RT-120
@hondakseries this was definitly sponsored by deere
those 450ct case are serious machines. coulda made it.
I wonder how many of these machines end up on the junk market with "low hours" after blowing every seal they have.
I love how the block isnt all the way on the pallet forks - and the "expert" operators dont try to correct the load issue. Seems unfair.
This isnt a test, its advertisement.
My thoughts exactly Wade!!
Whats with not putting the forks under all the way?
The new bobcat t870 has about 3400lb ROC and the s850 has almost 4000lb Roc. For bobcat their roc is usually about half of tip. I use a t-300 to move things including other skid steers, especially the new holland trades we get. This is typical crap from a company who sells more tee shirts than equipment.
The case easily can lift that but it has no rear wait. No counter balance. I like case and i operate a case but i hate that it has no ass end weight.
@bobcats330 Can you PLEASE then make a full video walkaround and inside or outside cab test drive in both the t870 and s850 and post it, PLEASE AND THANKS I've been dying to see a video walkaround and test drive of the t870 and s850! :)
i understand why they didn't put volvo on here because it would have won
@gunnz23 my mistake, either way this is a set up event and doesn't prove anything in regards to which comapanies machine is bettter.
Funny how they won't try the Kubotas, those mo fos are BADDD
Is this a john deere comercial?
John Deere is the winner I love you John Deere John Deere is the best then any other machine 😊☺️🥰😍💚💛
yea it is a JD comercial
Yes, it's right!
Was cat on low idle? He didn’t even try the rear would have lifted off the ground
who will win bobcat?
John deere was the only one to have the load closes to the machine..,. I wish 2012 John deere could do that
Where are the weights hidden in the jd
Thats a different class machine. These loaders are all in the same weight and hp class.
Why not use a same size machines
You can tell the operators on the bobcat and cat were told to fake it😤
Where's the Takeuchi?
The new holland and th case where the best because one thing there where on the end of the pallit and that makes a different outcome
@JaceJacksonGT The new Volvo's are apparently just rebadged JCBs
kinda weird that it can lift it when your in all the way
CATIPLER FOR LIFE
a takie TL150 would do that no problem. We all know this is a deere show though cause u see there equipment lined up to the left. Look up this vid " Takeuchi TL150 Skid Steer Benching 7000LBS! "
Der case hätte es auch geschafft wenn er das gewicht weiter hinten auf die gabel gestellt hätte!
JD should know better. Whoever came up with lying, cheating, manipulation, and treating potential customers like complete morons as their marketing campaign should be fired and then flogged. It doesn't take an experienced operator to call bullshit.
if our cat 906h can pick up 900lbs more than that block wieghs that cat skid loader should be able to pick it
didnt see an asv/terex in there?
It's funny how jd is the only one with mechanical controls
@MegaBOBCATMAN And possibly a side by side comparison to please, it would help slot thanks! :)
This is so ridiculous ,the Case and the NH will have killed the Deere ,but apparently no one notice those two machine were not all the way against the block, RIGGED by Deere.
these games is the purpose that the john deere wins, but where is gehl, mustang thomas, volvo and takeuchi?
