As advice for anyone who's going to the pyramids without a tour group, it is easily toured on foot and do not fall for those selling camel or horse rides which are way overpriced! If you do decide to go for them make sure to haggle down to 25% of their offered price and negotiate beforehand!
Not only are they way overpriced but the horses aren't cared for well at all! I'm usually all for giving horses jobs, especially in areas where they rely on them to live, but the tour horses are not necessary, and they are heavily mistreated. If you look at how their bodies are, their necks are skinny and their flanks and sunken in. It's mane (neck hair) is also tangled and not glossy, showing the horse has poor nutrition (horses will naturally have glossy hair with good nutrition) and probably is lacking the calories to safely carry tourists every day. To make it worse an unbalanced/inexperienced rider is harder on a horse than a well balanced/experienced rider.
What I love about Simon is that he doesn't over think things. The man is trying to break a world record and he's just like "yeah I think petra you have to walk to or something IDK, I guess we will find out" Zero research, Just vibes.

I came back from Egypt about a month ago, was one of the most amazing experinces of my life. The driving is absolutely mental but the people are so lovely and helpful! My advice would be- always have a driver to take you to and from places, make sure you arent getting scammed, make sure to bargain and if you are a lady dress a little more modestly than usual. I can see why the government has warnings about egypt but i believe if you travel in a group, (without children) and have a driver/guide then you will be fine! Once in a lifetime experince.

Hello Simon, I think you missed one Wonder. Because the Pyramids of Giza has been declared a honorary wonder because its originally part of the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World and not part of the New 7 Wonders. You have to go Machu Picchu in Peru which is the wonder you missed. But go to the Philippines first 😂

Not my favorite place Egypt to be fair, but you will love Petra, I could not fault it, and you have the choice of horse or walking, so you will be in your element. As always, another great vlog, but don't envy your rushing around, looks fab but must be tiring. Enjoy.
Love your mindset! Petra is definitely amazing, but please don't use one of the donkeys to go up to the monastery. We walked up in approx 30 minutes, down in 15, easypeasy :)
Petra is amazing, went there last year. Definitely takes a while to actually get to the monastery! Try and go the ‘back way’ you avoid going up all the stairs and the views are stunning!
Some of the best holidays I have had have been in Egypt once in Sharm El Sheikh and the other one in Hurghada. The people are friendly and there is really good activities to be done. If I was ever to return I would like to see the Pyramids.
I've just been reading that archaeologists have just discovered a mummy inside one of the pyramids covered in chocolate and nuts. Experts on site identified the mummy as Pharaoh Roche
