belajar menggambar it's not a part of our culture or something we generally grow up with, so for us it's hard to adjust to often. It's like how many Asian people can't tolerate cheese or our alcohol, because they're not used to them, but for us they're a staple in our diets and have been for centuries. Plus getting a lot of these tropical fruits is pretty new for a lot of western places because of our climate, and finding fresh ones is sometimes just flat out impossible.

for me, this is kinda weird… i mean like, they eat raw fish, they eat rotten cheese, they eat snails, goose liver, caviar… but they don't like the king of fruit, their smell is so good, indicate that they're ripe…

Actually in my opinion, it depends from where you get the durian. As an example, if you get durian from Malaysia it's better I think? Most the durians in Malaysia has a bright yellow and usually, the brighter the yellow is, the sweeter and yummier, creamier it is

I've come to a conclusion that when tasting durian for the first time there should be someone who love durian present with you, so you know whether the durian is a good one or a bad one.
Exactly, there is a massive difference between a good and bad durian. A good Monthong can be like vanilla ice-cream.

Look up some more Durian taste test videos, they're reactions aren't nearly as cancerous as the ones I've seen.

Here in the Philippines, there is a variety of fruit we call Marang which is like the cross between Durian and Jackfruit. It is also smelly and taste a bit like durian but the peal is similar to jackfruit.

Lol did you know that durian not only reprocess to be a dessert but also savoury dish like fish gravy, spicy sauce, bbq, etc.
The best part about durian is "the season of durian hunt"..you have to stay awake a whole night near durian tree wait for the ripe one fall from the tree...in my place, durian trees grow up near the jungle so you have to camp in there...make a campfire,have some mindnight snack, hot coffe, scary story, (sometimes you'll meet wild animals), and of course fresh durian for who like it

Most of westerner who tried durian, seems they unfortunately pick not a good quality durian. Durian can be so good if it ripes and from good variety. But also can be very bad if you happen to eat poor quality one.

Tips to remove the smell.. Flow water through the durian internal partition and into your hands...durian internal partition contains resin that can wash off the smell.. Kinda like when u wash oily stuff of engine during overhaul using diesel... Also to minimize smelly mouth after eating durian, drink water from the partition too

You gotta take a big bite into the inside and you will taste the sweetness. You gotta know the right way to eat it. My husband tried the first bite, it was yucky to him because he took a small bite just from the outside. Then I told him to take a bigger bite and bite to the inside near the seed. He said it’s good and very sweet.

Let me tell you something. I am from Malaysia. We do love durian. When you wanna try the taste, eat it with big portion. Then you will know. But not all people love it. When you like it, you'll love it. If you dont like it, you will hate it . There is no in the middle..

The other 2 groups probably got the bitter or semi sweet taste while the other group got the sweet version. Not all durian will taste the same even from the same tree. Some people like bitter taste while others like me like it sweet. They should try again but with different grade, yes, just like wine, there are a lot of grade for durians.

Everyone who tries durian for the first time : try it frozen! It’s like an ice cream and there’s no smell whatsoever coming out of the fruit that way. Tastes good but you might get a weird hint of flavour while eating it which becomes like a pineapple hint after. That was my first experience with durian as a Canadian and it was very interesting. What’s even weirder is that the aftertaste is actually incredible. I actually like the fruit even though it’s a bit strange. Could be awesome in an actual ice cream I believe!
