the best way to describe durian is, a sweet vanilla custard with intense of creamy taste , along with a tiny hint of garlic. thats all. its super delicious. in conclusion, durian is a super natural custard God’s created for human

Found this channel by accident and I am thoroughly entertained. Rob is a mad, mad man with his spice, but Chayne's durian knowledge is crazy good! Since everyone already mentioned tempoyak, some people actually ate durian for breakfast with kopi tubruk and I think Chayne will love that. Give it a try and let us know :)

The first time I ate durian was in 1995 when I was 3 years old, my dad came home from work he brought lots of durians, everyone in the house loved it except me, I vomited immediately after the first bite, and that was also the last time I ate it. Until now I can't even be around people who are eating durian, it can make me very nauseous and dizzy, feels very uncomfortable. Whether it's some kind of disorder or something, durian is the thing that confuses me 😂

We know Rob likes Chilis a lot, Indonesians do like their food mostly with sambals, and he's on another level that only a few Indonesians can reach, but, he weak against Durians, even the best one.
In the other hand, Cheyne as we see in this vid, he is (Surprisingly) a Durian expert, like, How can you eat those daily?!. But he is not handling Chilis like Rob does, still, it's on average of Indonesians level.

Wow.. Cheyne is amazing you knows how to look for a good durian. I still can't do that, although I love durian too. For me local durian taste better than durian monthong. Monthong is too sweet and because the flesh is too thick usually will easily feel full, unable to eat alot. While local durian can make me want more.

You should try durian Bawor in Kemranjen, Banyumas, Jawa Tengah . It also have unique taste with thick meat and small seed.

Next time when you visit Sumatra and Kalimantan. You need to try durian mochi ice cream from Pekanbaru, Riau and tempoyak (sambal durian) in both islands. Let us know what you think! I never like tempoyak because of the smell. But, five months ago I tried it and the taste is mind-blowing-ly soooo goood, really different from the smell. I was surprised. Tempoyak would be a best blend of Rob and Chayenne 😅

fun facts about durian:
1. yeah, durian is a love-and-hate fruit. Whether you love it or you hate it, there are only a few people in between but it is very rare.
2. durian is mostly enjoyed by South East Asians, and only a small portion hate it. but it's the opposite for the non-SEA people, most of them will hate it and a few will love it.
3. I never met/saw people that love durian because they get used to it, at least for now. whether you love it from the start, or just hate it throughout your life. correct me if you've met someone that tells otherwise, I really want to know.
I'm really curious about the science behind it. I know that people have different types of preferred smell, but are there any other kinds of smell pallets for each race?? mostly South East Asians will love the smell of durian, while the non-SEA people say it's a putrid type of smell. because some people will love durian smell, while others will hate it, and the weirdest part is it does not depend on what you think about the taste, cos I know people who love durian but hate the smell, this is such a mystery for me. 😅

guys when you're back in Jakarta, you can check out this durian place 'MATANG DI POHON'. there's one near my house at Kemang Selatan, South Jakarta. the durians are insanely good although they're a bit pricey so it's worth it!
