Mid Atlantic Hammock Hangers Association Summer Hang - July 18 thru 21, 2024

16 hammock hangers converged on the Minister Creek Recreation for 4 days / 3 nights of food, fun and conversation. The weather was absolutely PERFECT with daytime temperatures in the high 70’s and lows in the mid to low 50’s. I finished my weekend by filling in a 3 mile stretch on the North Country Trail.

Hey David, just an observation, that whole stretch where you guys hung for the weekend, there was pretty much 'nary any wood around to even have a twig fire. But there was enough wood piled up in the creek and along the banks to last for years even as busy as that place gets, I'm not including all the punkwood laying around on the ground. I had the luxury of smelling a punkwood fire all evening on Thursday. UGH! Oh the joys of camping! LOL.

Strange all the folks that wont go anymore … has to be a reason . We used to have many many … guess it’s like what we thought because we were have hundreds now at every hang .
