I remember wanting Bioshock on the DS back in the day so badly. And honestly I would have 100% been cool with it if Bioshock 2D was that fabled “Bioshock DS” game, would have been like “Yeah, it’s not the First Person Shooter, but it’s scratching that Bioshock Itch” would love to see someone do a fan remake of it one day.

Thank you for this video, I was always fascinated by these mobile versions of Bioshock. They are lots and lots of mobile games that are now lost which were made with a lot of love and passion. And they deserve some recognition. So thanks a lot for pointing it out in your video

i remember playing Bioshock 2D on my little prepaid flip-phone when i was young.... i was So scared i'd be in trouble for spending ~$8 so frivolously but i was way more excited to be playing my favorite game on my awful phone ahdhsjhb. looking back it was such a strange thing to have been made and wasn't the highest quality but my little mind was blown
Upon revisiting it I was actually pretty impressed by the quality. Like I hacked a security bot and it followed along with me and had a little health bar and killed enemies. It's pretty impressive that they made a point to implement all the features.

I actually knew about the 2D mobile game and the later full game 3D tablet versions, but not about the 3D mobile one! That's crazy they made so many versions of it. Mostly feature complete too! I have a weird memory of being on some Christian version of RUclips and I searched up "Bioshock" and found the trailer to the 2D mobile game, small world.

It's crazy because there are so many fan "demakes" that make bioshock 1 2D or low poly but theres already an official version. I bet there are some fanmade infinite demakes
I only found out of bioshock mobile literally right now at this moment when I bought bioshock infinite complete edition and checked the game Manual and the back said “relive the magic with the game that started with it all:now available on mobile devices”

Im actually trying to play this now on the J2ME loader , the version i have is all touch screen and very glitchy but its amazing hopefully the rest of the levels can be retrieved i want the full game to play properly , im getting a Cat S22 flip for work and proper Symbian/Java Emulation

@@RivetingMaterial I've found there are 2 versions of the 2D BioShock one with button supports and one that is touch screen only like the one im trying to play but it's broke or incomplete

There's an emulator for android called j2me loader that can get the 2D version up and running pretty easily.

Bro i'm using a emulator for play 2D version and i see that in the menu i don't have the lights of the lighthouses , is it normal ?
There are 2 main versions of the 2D so maybe one has a different looking menu screen? It's probably normal...

@@micheleluparello2468 it's not impossible but it's very unlikely. You probably have the super stripped down version. Does it have simpler sprites and colors? There are 3 versions that I know of and only 2 of them have much footage at all.

@@daraonsharon Ah, unfortunately that one is not available online (to the best of my knowledge). All of my footage is borrowed with permission from another channel. I think the 3D version only exists on devices it was originally installed on. Unless that's changed since I made the video.
