If you have no natural leadership characteristics then this cannot be taught. Some of what it takes to be a leader must come naturally.

I delegateda responsibility to one of my co worker...she was pathetic and horrible in the approach and delivery

That's a shame Satish. Did she have appropriate guidance for the tasks you delegated? Was she at that level of competence to complete those tasks, or did she require additional training? You can see this an an opportunity to sit down with her and give her feedback on her performance so she can improve in the future.

@@kararonin I think the problem is I expect perfection and committed..she seems to be lacking the sparks ...I also took time to tell her the task being assigned is a very meaty piece of work...not many people are fortunate to get this task...she has been longer in the organisation and I recently joined...the ex boss is all about keeping people happy and less work that why management had challenges with him.... people are used to this lazy culture of no work and no self improvement, not all but this person at least. I understand as a manager we might not always get the best resources, however getting crucial work from disinterest resources is really difficult
