    CLARIFICATION - The Tuf B650-E is NOT a B650E motherboard - BAD ADVERTISING!
    It's still worth picking up to save some money, no question, BUT for a 4080 and 7950X3D, the Strix B650E linked below would be my pick :)

    To be out straight with you, I was going to get the PS5 Pro, but not when I hear what they are charging for it on its own. If I was to get it completely with everything I need to use it, ie: dish drive, and stand, it would cost me around 1000 euro to get, far to expensive to get I could use this towards purchasing a new graphics card.

      Consoles are done. The only thing they had going for them for the longest was game selection but now everything is on steam. I recently got a PS5 to play Rebirth and was disheartened to find out I was forced between choosing 60fps or 4K but not both. I ended up playing in lower graphics at 60fps because the 4k was just too choppy to use. If I waited for the PC release, I could have both assuming I have the proper build.

Even on older builds that have core parking issues you just have to use a driver uninstaller to remove all files and references of the old chipset drivers on your computer and do a fresh install of the latest chipset driver and all the parking issues will be gone. The X670E boards are cheap enough to recommend them over the anemic B650 boards. Especially with PCI-E 5.0 cards coming with the RTX 5000 Series. The PCI-E 4.0 is already bottlenecking the RTX 4090. And Gen 5 2025 drives will be significantly better than the first gen models. And you dont have official Gen 5 support and im sure AMD does not allow it. Like they did with the AM4 boards.
    My Asus X670E Hero has 2x Gen 5 PCI-E slots and 2x Gen 5 NVMe plus, 1x Gen 5 via the extra card supplied with the board and 2x Gen 4 NVMe slots. I use 4 x 4TB Gen NVMe drives and cant go back to a SATA SSD, let alone HDDs.

    • @Audiosan79
      @Audiosan79 28 дней назад +2

      You don't get more PCI-e gen 5 support on X670E than you do with B650E. The limitation is still the CPU. It only support 24 lanes + the chipset lanes. You can get B650E with 2x m.2 gen 5x4 too. And 1 PCI-e x16 gen5. And your CPU do not support more than that. And NO, PCI-e gen 4 do not botleneck the 4090. The card it self is gen4. Even run it on gen 3 only gives you a 3-4% performance loss. And if you run 3 x 4TB gen 5 SSD's + 1 x 4TB gen 4 SSD, well than your PCI-e slot is running at x8 gen4, and not x16. So you get the bandwith of a PCI-e x16 gen 3.

    • @thornstrikesback
      @thornstrikesback 28 дней назад

      What do you mean "Am I cooked?" The N7 is a great motherboard and future-proofed. It's essentially an ASRock motherboard so high quality. However, you should never buy PC components just because ONE RUclipsr uses it. You got lucky in this case but maybe do some of your own independent research. Also saying you want either a 4070 or 4080 is like saying do you want the vehicle with the V6 motor for $20,000 or the V8 model for $30,000. They are two very different tiered GPU's and two very different prices. Not to mention the 4080 is no longer being made (4080 Super is the only 4080 in production). And there is a new 4070 out that is only GDDR6 when the OG 4070 was GDDR6X so if you go for a 4070 you could very well get screwed over. Based on your comments, I am assuming you don't have a lot of knowledge in this area (no judgement, just an observation) so please make sure you do as much research as possible. Get your budget, get your time-frame, understand your needs (i.e. are you gaming at 1080p, 1440p, 4K?, is it purely for gaming or productivity as well? etc.) and go from there. I am assuming you upgraded your motherboard because you also upgraded your CPU to AM5? Just remember, there are certain CPU/GPU combinations that work well and some that don't.

      @thornstrikesback 27 дней назад

      @@Heretobehere Always a smart move to ask lots of people. You will find everyone has their own opinion on something, but the more you ask, the more you will find yourself aligning to a specific direction. Personally, if you have a somewhat limited budget, go for the 4070 Ti Super, but if you have the money to spend, you can go for the 4080 Super. But the general consensus is those who are looking at a 4080 Super or 4090 are better off waiting to see what the 5080 and 5090 will bring when they are released in the next few months (hopefully). Honestly, go for the 4070 Ti Super if you need a GPU now. I have one and it's a great card. It won't break the bank and will give you plenty of time to watch the 50xx series unfold, where you can then make the decision to sell the 4070 Ti Super and make the upgrade to a 50xx series in the next 12 months. Or if you don't care about the 50xx series, definitely go for the 4080 Super as that will possibly see you through until the 60xx series is released.

    • @jatinmarcob2128
      @jatinmarcob2128 28 дней назад

      If you're going for 1440p and already willing to spend between $500-600 for a gpu, I'd say it's pretty good. Just be sure to check a lot of benchmarks with it going against the 7800xt, as it can change from being a 14% performance increase for $50 more, to no difference in performance (depending on the game) with that extra cost.

    • @thornstrikesback
      @thornstrikesback 28 дней назад

      Asking what GPU to go for without giving a time frame is an impossible question to answer. Are you upgrading in 2 weeks, 2 months, 2 years? The 7900GRE is a great card and there isn't much around that you can compare it to when it comes to power/price, but who is to say that one of the new RDNA 4 GPU's released either late this year or early next year will be 50% more powerful and for the same price? If you have a card that currently runs all your games, I would wait until RDNA 4 is released.

I ordered a monitor (msi 271qpx) already so don’t wanna wait. I’m just “scared” that the prices will drop like €200+ or is that not something that will likely happen?
      4070 super looked nice but everywhere I go I see people saying 12gb vram is not enough for the future

    • @thornstrikesback
      @thornstrikesback 28 дней назад

      @@AoT540 12GB is enough for today's games but not in the coming years. 16GB will (should) see you through for another 3-5 years. You could always go the extra few hundred and get the 7900 XT with 20GB VRAM as it not only has more VRAM but also better lighting and reflection handling. But the 7900 GRE is a VERY GOOD GPU if you're not too worries about Ray Tracing. When it comes to prices, you are always going to get that 'buyers remorse' type feeling because there will always be a better price at a different time, so try not to let it worry you too much. We all buy something and then a week later, we see it cheaper. I try to look at it this way... "I got the parts I wanted so even if a better price comes along at least I didn't miss out on the product itself." So in saying all of that, the prices will drop when the RDNA 4 GPU's are released late this year or early next year, but if you wait too long, you might just miss out on the product entirely. Yes, you will then have the option of buying the latest gen GPU, but the cost might be well above your budget and then you will have the remorse of not buying the product you originally wanted when you could have. I have been building PC's since the late 90's and you can never really predict the market so I say "Close your eyes and take the plunge mate."

    + tax, + gaming monitor, + desk, + chair, + mouse pad, + controller, + shipping, + keyboard, + mouse, + build time (or paying someone to build it if you don’t know how)
    These videos are hilarious. No one that ever does these videos adds that stuff in to the pc budget. I can appreciate you trying to inform people that there are other options out there; though I wish when you guys make these videos, you were realistic with total costs and not just for the pc parts themselves.
    Consoles are a plug and play setup. Sure, someone could argue that you need a tv for the ps5, and that you could use the tv as a monitor, but then what’s the point of pc gaming if you’re going to lounge around on a couch with 10-15ms TVs, having to drag keyboard and mouse over to the couch, etc. it just isn’t a realistic setup.
    Even if we take the monitor out of the equation, you still didn’t account for everything else I mentioned. That doesn’t even include restarting your gaming catalog over again.
    The point is: yes, you can build relatively decent spec’d pc on a budget, but once you start adding in everything else that goes with that pc build, that price starts adding up. The pc you mention in this video all told would probably set you back around 1500$+
    I agree completely that the PS5 pro is insanely overpriced for what it is, but it’s not meant to be for your average consumer. It’s a niche market. Just do better, and be more transparent with total costs, not just the parts.
