I would use trapdoors. If you’re using carpets you need to use moss carpet

Not sure if you'll see this but i'm having a problem where the hoglins seem to be breaking the fences. What can i do?

They probably aren’t. The fences might be too close to the lava, try using nether fences

You can't accidentally build the AFK platform too high as it is at build height limit.

If you have more players in the Nether the mob cap is getting filled by them. Either fry afking when no one is on or make sure people aren’t in the nether

@@shinings the only thing i can thing of is make sure your distance is correct, if you're further than 120 blocks than nothing will spawn and if you're closer than 30 nothing will spawn

Unfortunately you can’t go on the nether roof in bedrock. You could build in it a perimeter but it would be less efficient
