  • Don't take sides in Mexico! In this video I will show you the difference between the two major tourist regions of Mexico. These are the Caribbean coast - the Mayan Riviera (Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Akumal) and Pacific coast with Puerto Vallarta, Riviera Nayarit, Nuevo Vallarta and of course San Pancho! Which side is the best place for you to travel, winter or retire?

I bought a bracelet on the beach in PV in the early 80's. The best quality silver for an amazing price.

Thank you! I just stumbled on your channel. Hubby and I are looking for all the information possible before moving to Mexico, and this was extremely helpful.

I think the differences in beaches is a minor concern. The Pacific side--as it is in the United States--just has better weather. More predictable, gentler and drier.

The Pacific side has warm, dry, sunny weather virtually year round. The worst months are September and October for rain and storms.

People tend to forget, Mexico has many different ckimates for how big the country is. In the mountains it can get pretty cold.

I had an All inclusive booked for April 2020 with my 14 year old son, but it was cancelled due to Coronavirus. I chose Vallarta because the hotel was right and so was the price.
However, we now have a year to rebook and I'm considering the Caribbean side.
The two most important aspects for my son is the quality of the beach and crystal blue waters. Oh, and the hotel must have at least one huge pool and be right on the beach lol. I'm seriously considering Cancun now.

For white sand beaches and crystal clear water, you definitely want the Caribbean side. Besides Cancun, don't forget Playa del Carmen and Tulum. Most places will have a pool!

Well for Mexico it is Caribbean. But for just the countries in Caribbean and Pacific, the Pacific countries have better beaches.

I’d like to retire and considering the Caribbean side. Seems less crowded with Expats. Idk the trash is a concern though

Sounds like the Caribbean side is pretty nice too.

Might as well go to Belize tbh, Quintana Roo is now a cartel spot thanks to Playa's techbro expats and Tulum's hipsters creating a demand for weed.
