Wow. I bought a condo in Puerto Morelos. I am kinda right in the middle of these Cozumel and Isla Mujeres. I can be on one the islands fairly quickly. Your video definitely made me feel good about my investment. Wow...that water was so beautiful...I really enjoyed when you were snorkeling. The visibility seemed to be absolutely amazing!!! I don't know living expenses well for Mexico. I think it would depend where you want to live there. I think it has gotten expensive as many expats have moved there over the last few years.
My wife and I went there in 1988 before the hurricane. Nice to see it's come back . We ventured there because we didn't like the vibe in cancun, took a taxi to Punta Sam and paid 50cents for a boat ride to Isla Mujeres. Spent our time at Playa Norte, found a little establishment named 'Bujos on the beach' that served us drinks and Shrimp Cocktails as we sunbathed. Actually found a room there for 20 bucks a night and stayed there. It was a wonderful place then and just what we needed at the time. Thanks for the nice tour of modern Isla Mujeres.

We have just returned...it is everything you said it is and much much more...we are in our mid 60s but still only 20 in our heads so jumping off of the high rock at Cenote Azul was a breeze..too much tequila on 5th avenue.. snorkeling on the islands,beach days..the friendly local people all made it on of the best holidays we have ever had..thanks again for the inspiration it was truly brilliant
Whoa, $2 to enter Punta Sur?! We just came back from there yesterday. It is now $6 USD. We could not walk the entire paths due to a thunderstorm nearby, thunder crackling overhead seemingly. Looks even more beautiful with sunlight like in your video. Note, from the ferry port to Playa Norte, all the horizontal roads are one way, west direction. To go east, need to get on the busy road along Playa Centro. Yeah, can go a football field and be only waist deep in clear turquoise water. We stayed at Mia Reef. Their buffet is amazing. I remember seeing all those stores in your video. Great video guide for those who want to visit or vacation here!
Hi, Renata, This is Hisashi from Rosarito. To be honest, I have been waiting for this report because I visited Isla Mujeres about 1 and half year ago and I knew it that it was a wonderful place. I was impressed by the beautiful beaches and I enjoyed marine activities such as snorkeling and kyach, etc. Personally, I loved it more than Cancun because it is much quieter, so it is good for people who loves nature. Your report was as good as I expected, too. I want to take my wife there who lives in Japan now in the near future. I will keep watching your report!

I never go to any tourist trap in Mexico. And I’ve been all over! But Isla Mujeres May be the one I will go to eventually. The places that Instagramer mentioned are all so typical! Mexico has way more to offer than just those places.
A small island located a few miles off of Cancun's pristine coasts, in the state of Quintana Roo, Isla Mujeres (the island of women) is one of the top favorite destinations for beach-lovers.
I visited Isla Mujeres in 1963 when it had few tourists. The police had the only radio for communcation and I stayed in the first motel that was under construction. I do not recall its name, but I do recall the group of French speaking tourists, all men, that were the only other guests. We were 4 college girls, students at the UNAM in Mexico City. One of us spoke French. It came in handy to learn the guy's plans when they tried to break down our door. We had pushed all the furniture in the room in front of the door and waited in the dark the whole night with broken bottles in our hands in order to defend us. No phones. We were lucky and by morning the guys had left. I am sure that things are different now
I just discovered your channel when RUclips suggested this video, due to me doing some research on the island in past weeks. I think you've given one of the best views of the island that I've seen. I've been visiting the area since Playa was a small fishing village with just 2 phone lines and all the businesses shut down for afternoon siesta. I haven't yet, though, visited Isla Mujeres, but we have a room booked in Tres Mentiras for December. We'll also visit Playa, Valladolid and perhaps some other places; I'll check out your other videos to see if there's anything new since our last visit to the area.

Place was very crowded when we went and water looks nice but when got in it was a little murky. Beaches short but nice. I see it getting more all inclusive developed soon
I wish I would’ve seen your video before I was there. I went there end of August…. Beach is phenomenal! But traveling with 3 kids made it a little bit hard to just walk around.
Isla has the best beaches in the whole of Mexico,better than Holbox,Cozumel and even Banco Chincherro...Playa Norte is best visited early in the morning,i spend a week every year on Isla..will be there in October..
There are several beaches that one could enjoy so yes 2 days would be good. BUT, it would make sense to hotel on the island and if you do that then you might as well spend 3 or 4 days. I do not know what the hotels are like so you have given me an idea to go back and spend a week there to cover better for non-day trip visits. Having said that I think I would prefer to see more of the main land. Playa and Cozumel are so close and then there is everything in between. I like Playa Gordon likes Cozumel.

Place was very crowded when we went and water looks nice but when got in it was a little murky. Beaches short but nice. I see it getting more all inclusive developed soon
I suspect you will be right. Cancun and area is going all inclusive...shame
I wish I would’ve seen your video before I was there. I went there end of August…. Beach is phenomenal! But traveling with 3 kids made it a little bit hard to just walk around.

Isla has the best beaches in the whole of Mexico,better than Holbox,Cozumel and even Banco Chincherro...Playa Norte is best visited early in the morning,i spend a week every year on Isla..will be there in October..

There are several beaches that one could enjoy so yes 2 days would be good. BUT, it would make sense to hotel on the island and if you do that then you might as well spend 3 or 4 days. I do not know what the hotels are like so you have given me an idea to go back and spend a week there to cover better for non-day trip visits.
Having said that I think I would prefer to see more of the main land. Playa and Cozumel are so close and then there is everything in between. I like Playa Gordon likes Cozumel.
If you go to Greece, you will see many churches with a sea view. Very beautiful. 💙

Also I din't understand if you went to La Isla Mujeres from Playa del Carmen or from Cozumel. If I go from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel firs, do I need to go back to Playa del Carmen to go to La Isla Mujeres, or can I go directly from Cozumel with the combo ticket?
