I admire you my brother Rabid for keeping mining with all these CPUs. I turned OFF all my CPU mining rigs long time ago. I could just use one or two rigs but i just want to see how things will turn out in the next 2~3 weeks :$
I'm still not sold on connecting multiple motherboards to one ATX PSU. I honestly don't like the idea to have unnecessarily other CPU mining rigs down just because of a faulty/unstable one :/
I would rather have only the faulty/unstable one down but everything else keep running :)

True it is a simple unplug the one turn on and tweak the other with a spare psu until you get it tweaked I did set up each one by itself to make sure they were good before putting them all together.
Rabid, I use splitters off of a 550W ATX GOLD PSU and I usually get a reading on my CPU and boards of around 135 watts. However, I only have 4 boards running total. Nothing at the level that you are running at.

Thank you, Sir, just what I needed! I’m about to convert some open air rigs to cases (well, primarily turn off GPUs post merge initially), then reuse the frames and whatever else I can for some CPU mining shenanigans.

Told ya barrel plugs get hot 😛 you gave me an idea...I could build a huge rectangular enclosure with rails, and have metal plates that slide in rails. Mount the mobo's to plate and slide in. Easily get 6 mobo's on a shelf in a ventilated and filtered box

Lol on hot days it gets warm down there in the winter I actually keep it cool with a window saves me more on power then my gas bill. Also not recommended to constantly breath electronics as a heater

Rabid… I had two motherboards running off one PSU. I switched off the power supply while they were mining because I could not get them to shutdown through Hive. I’ve been unable to get them to power back up. I tried hooking them up I individually and even tried another PSU. Did I somehow fry my motherboards??
try to hook a power switch up maybe the bios wasnt set to restore after power loss? or the cmos got reset

@@RabidMining I tried that :/ Even tried with a different power supply. My next step was going to test the components on a different rig…. I think I fried the motherboards somehow when I switched off the power supply… I’m hoping it was just the motherboards anyway. You’ve never seen this happen before though huh?
That's weird haven't had that happen and turn mine off and on a lot
It is not clear why do you need an PCI express splitter when your power supply unit already have CPU1 and CPU2 output available. Just use two separate cables to power two separate units.
Some don't have 2 cpu plugs and lots also have the pcie and cpu in the same locations this simplifies it for everyone

@@RabidMining I had gotten a motherboard a while back to CPU but never looked further to get a CPU for it , but thinking maybe add a CPU miner to the mix and to augment my helium miners , so to at least bring some revenue in at low power lol
