This makes me feel better about getting this size of hull to match with that free 5hp 2-stroke I just overhauled and made like new.
Thank you for this video!!!
just bought me one today! was kept under a pole barn for the last few years perfect condition! cant wait to take it out!
Thank you for explaining the long th and width of the boat. You answered my question I have been trying to find out 😂
Lol!! No problem
when he said "I mean a bigger motor would be nice but this works fine" that spoke to me
I have that same Coleman outboard and it did us well for 3 years then we upgraded to a 9.9
This video actually helped me a lot. The 9.9 Johnson on my 1436 is beyond repair and I can't afford a new one. However i can afford a new 2.5 hp, looks like it will be fast enough for what I need it to do. You will love the 1436 its a good all around size.
glad I could help! definitely won't be as fast as your 9.9 but it will get you a round the lake. so far I absolutely love this boat.
I had a 9.9 on my 16 ft Jon boat and it was perfect it made that boat fly!
I underestimated how fast these little motors are for jon boats i was looking for a 25hp on a 17ft. The 15hp will do just fine. Thank you so much for these videos. Im new to boating so anything i can see helps me.
No problem! Thank you 🙏
I had a 9.9 on a 16 ft Jon, it was plenty power for me at least
Great! Happy Fishin.
🤘
That motor is a beast! I’m getting one in the spring for my 12ft John boat
I’m selling mine 👀
Looks cool! I really want one of these for the bayou!
For the price it’s tough to beat.
@@5050fishing how much?
@@corypatterson3072 I just ordered mine for my 1436. Amazon prime was 674$
@@5050fishing how many grown men can you fit in it? Is it super stable to be able to stand and fish?
@@jayrough3383 2 guys over 200 pounds is about all you want
thats a sick little boat
I love it
I have got a question maybe you can help we only have a 2013 Nissan Murono and we live in Georgia mainly wanting a river boat, not sure whether to get the 1436 grizzly or the 1648?? Can you tell me anything about this car would pull easily up the boat ramp or any info
A good future project that you will be glad you did, get a used 2 stroke 25hp short shaft outboard and convert it to a jet drive.
How much weight did you have on the boat? If you don’t mind me asking.
Man thats fast!!!
She does good
Does you motor still wants to stall after a thorough break-in? I have the same motor and only ran it about 2hrs but it stalls after running half throttle for 30min and bringing it down to idle. I have to wait about 15min before I can start it back up.
Nope doesn’t stall at all now
It’s beautiful there guys. My wife asks where y’all at? We just got a used one and took it for a test ride few days ago.
I have the Parsun 5 hp and yup they wanna stall. You should keep an electric trollling and paddles with you at all times with these motors, trust me. any tips on a motor for a 15 tracker ? Regards!
she's been running good now
You got my interest on this boat. Did you consider the tracker grizzly?
I would love the grizzly but wanted to stay cheap
I just bought this motor. I have a 10 ft pelican bass raider with a 55 lb thrust trolling motor. I am hoping it pushes my boat as well as yours
How do I go about getting this boat
Love it
🤘
Is that a 2.5 colman?
Where is the oil drain plug?
looking for the paint name for this boat
I bought the same motor last year but is aka colemon aka parsun 2.6. Its runs like a top. I did notice when I was towing and loaded up fully for crabbing it would be difficult to keep it running in the lowest speed. I don't think it has enough torque for moving slow on heavier vessels. Works fine for running crabbing trotlines solo though with nothing being towed. On my inflatable intex excursion though.
Got a 15 foot aluminum boat needs a motor what motor do y’all recommend?
5 hp coleman out board motor
Bro I had my dream boat... I can't get same boat any where near Oregon state...
Is that boat safe for the river? Thinking about purchasing one
Had it on the river many times. I upgraded to a 9.9
That's how I started
🤘
That beats the hell out of a paddle.
Heck yeah
That thing rips across the water!
Dude it’s gonna be insane when I upgrade to a 9.9 or 15 hp
@@5050fishing no doubt! 🤘
Sweet little boat! Does it take on water back by the transom?
Nope not at all.
Im more stoked about buying this boat especially seeing how fast it goes with such a small motor. Now im gonna see if bass pro has a good deal on boat and trailer combo
I’m selling mine 😳
@@5050fishing you going bigger?
@@5050fishing I was hesitant jumping on board with the newer Jon boats cause they are held together with rivets. I was told welded boats were better. My downside is I live in south Florida and the boats that are welded together are harder to find than a rental car that hasn't seen airtime. Are riveted boats ok? Or is there a way to make them stronger. I just want a stable boat that will use a small motor. I want to hit national park lakes near me that have restrictions on motor size and I really don't care if I catch anything, I just want to enjoy the outdoors and relax.
@@cujo229 I’ve had a deep v for over a year now and I don’t use the Jon boat much anymore. I still love the boat though
@@cujo229 riveted boats are fine. Lund has one of the best reputations of any boat manufacturer and all of their boats are riveted
Head your ass to rich creek Virginia ASAP!!! Perfect place for you to catch plenty 3-6 lb smallies in that rig!!
Damn, I might have to do that.
cool
Yo, what lake is that? It looks great! Thanks
That was buffalo creek and the Ohio River
@@5050fishing oh, ok. Thanks, I'll look into it
@@alexw.outdoors4269 no problem
My 2009 merc 9.9 4 Stroke does 20mph just me on my topper 1436! 16-17 2 people
I’ve been looking for a deal on a 9.9
It runs great just got off the lake caught 7 decent bass. I'm in northwest louisiana
Do you mind if I ask how much you weigh my guy?
I would also like to know this. I’m 6’3 340lbs been trying to find a boat that’s right for me is hard
I'm curious why there's water in the bilge
I don’t have a bilge on there. Water was just some rain water i hadn’t bailed out from the night before.
how were you taking on so much water?
I wasn’t. There was just some water in there from rain.
@@5050fishingOh okay. I'm considering getting one of these. I was just wondering how it took that much water in.
It’s a solid little boat. I love it
@@jimeneazy5999 I was wondering the same thing but he did spill some Pepsi in there as well. Lol
Did you sell your motor
Not yet. I still have it
You should ALWAYS carry enough life vest foe all aboard.. Stay safe brother
what is a 9-9 lake?
10hp restriction lakes
The 36 is the width of the transom.
I believe the transom is 56" at least thats what google says but who knows lol
Where did you buy the boat and did you buy it new with a trailer.
Bought it used and bought the trailer off a buddy
My wife said she would let me get a new boat, but she would be coming with me and need a place to pee.
5 gallon bucket with a lid works!!
I've got an 8hp and 5.5 for sale if you live in Pennsylvania
I have a 9.9 merc for it now
Happy for you... life vest 4 your love..???🤔🤔
They were in the boat. She didn’t want to wear it lol
Bye Bye PEPSI lol
nothing wrong with that motor
🤘
Gotta have a cup holder and rod holder..I can't count how many times iv spilled my drink
